Had an excellent holiday show on Friday, one of the best shows in recent memory IMO. I was very glad to see that attendance reached into the double digits, especially given how busy a time of year it is for most people, so thanks to everyone who attended. If you missed the show, the VOD is currently archived here: www.twitch.tv/videos/355664087Lets get to the results: ZIP JAPAN Holiday Havoc (Friday, Dec 28, 2018) Clash of Super Z Cup winners - Saburo Hamada vs ZIP Man ZIP Man continues his excellent run of form and reminds Tetsuo K exactly what awaits him at the next show. ZIP Man was dominant against Saburo Hamada and put him away with his patented ZIP-er Kick. - Eun-jin Choi vs Vicki Violence A very good Joshi match, Choi doing her usual thing, working the legs hard and attempting many submissions, and Vicki refusing to get caught and doing her damnedest to break Choi's neck with repeated head drops. Choi fought valiantly, but couldn't kick out after Vicki dropped a pair of brutal knees across her face. - Johnny Rekless vs Justin Starr Too early to declare MOTN? It was hard to imagine anything else on the card topping this, a breathless high flying encounter between two of the best talents in the ZIP JAPAN Junior ranks. The match was lightning quick from the get go and was jam packed with death defying acrobatics from both men. Rekless earned the victory with a stunning flip piledriver to cement his place among the elites of the division. Fatal 4 Way Elimination - Mad Bomber vs Demon Otsu vs Mr Suplex vs Jimmy Nails The awesomeness continued here as Jimmy Nails pulled out the performance of a lifetime. After a grueling opening 20 minutes, Otsu was eliminated by Mad Bomber, and Jimmy's brain kicked into overdrive. He seemed determined to defeat the Mad Bomber, breaking up several pin attempts when Mr Suplex seemed to have put the powerbombing giant away. Once Mad Bomber had Mr Suplex pinned, though, Jimmy just stood by and let it happen. Once it got down to one on one, Nails put on a clinic in submission wrestling, keeping the big man on his back as much as possible, and ultimately securing the win with his patented Figure 4. Stunning result. - GORO vs Thunder Fist A excellent, stiff brawl between two former Heavyweight champions. Thunder Fist was throwing bombs left and right, and GORO pulled every trick out of his bag, unleashing tons of offense on the man from Botswana. GORO even OKITE'd Fist's KTFO Finisher to no avail. In the end it took 2 Rainmakers to keep GORO down, but Thunder Fist is back to his winning ways. Archive Match from 2006 - Tetsuo K vs Super Scorpio The hits just kept on coming, as this match from the archives featured stellar performances from younger, faster versions of both men. Lots of brawling on the floor, brutal kick battles, and Scorpio showed off his aerial skills in a big way, diving to the floor and from the top rope more than once. Scorpio even manged to kick out of Tetsuo's dreaded Fire Star Splash, but in the end he fell victim to a vicious axe kick. If Tetsuo can recapture this kind of energy against ZIP Man, we should get an excellent title match. Fatal 4 Way Elimination - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Momoe Ito vs Aya Mizuno vs Suki ZIP The relentless action didn't let up at all with 4 of ZIP JAPAN's top Joshi in the ring. Chaos reigned for large portions of this match, with many double team moves performed by odd pairings of faces and heels. Eventually Aya was shockingly choked out by Suki, before Yumi Yamaguchi seemed to find another gear. Yumi's fighting spirit pushed her on as she forced a clearly exhausted Suki to tap to a leg lock before finishing off Momoe with a picture perfect moonsault to secure an impressive win. - Wataru Nakajima vs Dougie Doogan A slightly deflating result here, as Nakajima never seemed to get going in this match. Dougie was brutal in cutting off the Patriarch's offense before he could gather any real momentum. One big Hammer fist later, and it was all over. Even the guy dishing out the match ratings seems to be a Nakajima fan, as he shit all over the result. To determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Titles - Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada/Kenzo Kobayashi) vs Team Fighting Spirit (Akira Shinjo/Daisuke Shimura) Impressive tag team action here, both teams making quick tags and working double team offense effectively. Akira Shinjo was busted open very early, but it only seemed to fire him up. All 4 competitors put in a valiant effort, but it was ultimately a nasty Explosion Kick from Shinjo that decided the match. Team Fighting Spirit will challenge Blue Destiny for the Tag Titles at the next show. ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship match - Cutie Booties vs Psycho Witch (C) Wow at this result. After a long climb to the top of the pile, Psycho Witch seemed to have established dominance over the Joshi Division, but this illusion was shattered by Cutie Booties and her lightning feet. Cutie had an answer for everything Witch could dish out here, and continually pummeled the Champ with savage kicks and combos. Cutie Booties is your new ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion! ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match - Takeshi Kiriyama vs Donnie Doogan (C) Redemption here for Donnie Doogan. Last time he was Heavyweight Champion, he lost the belt to a Kiriyama armbar, and this was their first match since that loss in August 2017. Doogan withstood Kiriyama's onslaught and fought out of several armbar attempts, making great use of his power and agility advantage. It was a great night for the Doogan Bros as Donnie smashed in Kiriyama's head with his patented Doogan Hammer to retain his championship. Who can Dethrone Doogan in his current form? Thanks again to the people who attended the show. We'll do it again in a couple of weeks. The action packed card for the next ZIP JAPAN show Festival of Violence has been posted on the first page of the thread, hope to see everyone there! It's a New Year's show with a lot of tag and multi man matches, so it might be a long one :P

Apologies for taking so long to get the results from Friday's show posted. Festival of Violence was the latest in a string of excellent shows recently. Attendance was good, chat was lively and the matches all delivered something special. Results: ZIP JAPAN Festival of Violence (Friday Jan 11, 2019) Juniors 6 Man Elimination match - Ichiro Katagiri vs Shuji Tsukamoto vs Darkness HAGE vs Yutaro Ichikawa vs Tora Katsu vs Minoru Hoshino A wild juniors brawl to kick off the show. Katagiri killed Tsukamoto with an Orbital Explosion, and pinned Darkness HAGE after a reverse tombstone before much longer. Ichikawa then kicked things up a notch, eliminating Hoshino after a devastating Cannonball Senton. A few minutes later Ichikawa forced Tora Katsu to tap to a Minoru Special armbar, and then kicked Katagiri into next week with his seated superkick. Ichikawa really looking dominant in this chaotic match. - Wataru Nakajima vs Kenzo Kobayashi Nakajima put on a great performance for his fans here, taking a serious beating from Kobayashi but refusing to give up while he still had blood in his veins. Both men got some very close nearfalls before Nakajima put an end to things with his Nakajima special backdrop hold. A singles match win for Nakajima using his actual finisher is a rare and beautiful thing :) - Suki ZIP vs Hanako Yoshii This was pretty crazy. Yoshii weathered an early storm from Suki and seemed to be in total control of the match. She was working the arms and Suki came close to tapping out to an armbar more than once. But Suki hit one massive Enzui kneedrop from the top rope and got an instant pinfall. Yoshii was not knocked out by the move, but she was definitely a little loopy after the match. Mixed Tag Match - Aya Mizuno and Demon Otsu vs Rebecca Roxx and Mr Suplex An awesome mixed tag and early shout for MOTN. Roxx and Suplex showed good chemistry for a team who hadn't worked together before, and the Mizuno/Otsu pairing were a well oiled machine. A brutal and stiff affair that saw Roxx come very close to pinning Otsu after a huge Stunner, before Mr Suplex came in and finished the job with a textbook Endless German -> Genki Raiga-plex. - Johnny Rekless vs ECKO More superb Juniors action here, as one of the best of the ZIP JAPAN old guard took on one of the best of the new breed. Rekless lived up to his name again, throwing out sick dives and flipping piledrivers galore, but ECKO was not to be denied. After a Spinning Tombstone failed to get the job done, he followed up with a Jumping Tombstone to put Rekless away. Archive Match from 1998 - Genki Raiga vs King ZIP An epic matchup from the long running Raiga/ZIP feud of 1997/1998, Raiga was the fan favorite here, and used the energy from the fans to give King ZIP a serious run for his money. Raiga was nailing big suplexes and even survived a ZIP Driver in the middle of the ring...but King ZIP eventually caught him in a devastating Claw Hold to end the match. Raiga would get his revenge a few months later, defeating King ZIP and ending his lengthy Heavyweight Title run. - Doogan Bros (Donnie Doogan/Dougie Doogan) vs Green Crush (Takeshi Kiriyama/Asano Kaneshiro) Another excellent tag encounter saw the huge gaijin Doogan Brothers squaring off against Green Crush. A nonstop display of brute force and power, punctuated by blood and brawling on the floor. Kaneshiro eventually got the best of things, hitting a sickening Asano Bomb on Donnie in a spot where Dougie had no chance to make the save. Heavyweight Champion Donnie Doogan pinned in this non title match! Triple Threat to determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Vicki Violence vs Psycho Witch Yamaguchi wrestled the match of her life here, sticking and moving very effectively against her larger opponents. She was able to rest as Vicki and Witch brawled on the outside of the ring with weapons, and after Vicki pinned Psycho Witch with a bridging German Suplex, Yumi nailed Ms Violence with a massive Angelic Driver for the win. Yamaguchi will renew her rivalry with Cutie Booties at the next show, with the ZIP JAPAN Joshi Title on the line! To determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Thunder Fist vs Jimmy Nails Jimmy Nails really gave his all in the ring, doing his very best to keep Thunder Fist grounded and work the legs. Nails managed to escape being pinned despite being pummeled by the Thunder Fists over and over, and even managed to lock in his Figure 4 more than once, but Thunder Fist proved too much for him on this night. One huge Turnbuckle Stampede slam later and it was all over. Thunder Fist is the #1 contender and will challenge Donnie Doogan at the next show. ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Team Fighting Spirit (Akira Shinjo/Daisuke Shimura) vs Blue Destiny (Maki Yoshida/Jin Matsuda) (C) What a match for the tag team titles. Both teams were well supported by the crowd and went balls to the wall for the entire match. Everyone got in all their best offense in an intense back and forth battle, but in the end Team Fighting Spirit asserted their superiority when Shimura caught Matsuda with his own Codebreaker! Only time I've ever seen an Okite win a match. A disappointing result for Blue Destiny, but there was no shame in their brave performance. ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship match - ZIP Man vs Tetsuo K (C) This title match was ZIP Man's reward for his victory in the Super Z Cup 2018, and he took his chance with considerable style. Tetsuo K worked hard, and managed to kick out of the brutal ZIP-er Kick that won ZIP Man so many matches, and delivered plenty of kicks of his own. But after a nasty strike battle, ZIP Man nailed Tetsuo with a superkick and scored the victory. Congratulations to the new ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Champion!! Lots of fun was had, and some great matches were seen. Thanks very much to everyone who attended all or part of the show, your participation is always welcome and much appreciated. The card for the next ZIP JAPAN event has been posted on the first page of the thread. Hope to see you there!

The Senatorial Office may not be broadcasting a show tonight, but wrestling fans will be well taken care of as ZIP Japan presents Fight to Survive! The Botswanan Assassin and one half of the beloved Storm of the Century squares up to regain the ZIP Heavyweight title at the expense of the dominant Donnie Doogan! Yumi Yamaguchi calls on the support of her sizable fanbase to carry her to victory in a ZIP Joshi title bout against the formidable kicks and massive noggin of Cutie Booties, who will at least have Hana cheering for her! Four men with no conscience, no mercy and no love for the fans compete for a shot at the ZIP Tag titles, as Green Crush and Pure HEEL collide in combat! And if there weren't enough matches on this card with real stakes on the line, the Mask Killer, Tetsuo K, the Man With the Boots, Yutaro Ichikawa and the Coolest Antagonist, ECKO all vie for a chance to take the ZIP Junior title off the waist of ZIP Man! Were that all for the night, none would complain, but ZIP isn't about to rest on its laurels, so we get a hard hitting rematch between former champion GORO and long time rival, the Ironhead, Maki Yoshida, the Patriarch, Wataru Nakajima, the Ace in Spirit, Akira Shinjo, the Cruel Tyrant, Mad Bomber and Dougie Doogan in an action packed fatal four way, plus Suki ZIP, Rekless Endangerment, the Cutter King, Satoshi Iguchi, Aya Mizuno and the Modern Day Gorgon, Super Scorpio all in action! This is what wrestling is all about, this is Puroresu, this is ZIP Japan! And you can witness this breathtaking landmark event at 8:00 PM (ET) on the ZIP Network: www.twitch.tv/therealdenizen

Thanks to everyone who came out to Fight to Survive last night, it was a super fun event with some great results and matches. If you missed the show, it is currently archived here: www.twitch.tv/videos/369838421Let's get right into the results: ZIP JAPAN Fight to Survive! (Friday Jan 25, 2019) - Saburo Hamada vs Super Scorpio A strong outing from both juniors here to open the show. As they battled it out, Scorpio slowly established his superiority and finished Hamada with a very nice Tiger Suplex. Scorpio impressed tonight, but Hamada seems to on a perpetual slide in recent months. - Momoe Ito vs Aya Mizuno Both these ladies are former Joshi Champions looking to impress Reiko and move back up the card. Momoe showed some real guts in this, taking a real beating at the hands of Aya but refusing to back down. Momoe let her acrobatic skills do the talking and picked up a very creditable victory with her signature Double Rotation Moonsault. - Rekless Endangerment (Johnny Rekless/Danger Daniels) vs Ichiro Katagiri/Satoshi Iguchi More great action on the undercard with two junior tag teams going all out. Plenty of rapid fire action and near falls for both sides here. Eventually Rekless Endangerment's tag team experience made the difference, with Daniels quicker to react than Iguchi when Rekless had Katagiri pinned. - Rebecca Roxx vs Suki ZIP Rebecca gave it everything she had in this one, but Suki has been something of an unstoppable force recently. Suki's fearlessness from the top rope won the day here, as she nailed multiple diving moonstomps and a big enzuiknee to finish off Roxx. Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match - Akira Shinjo vs Wataru Nakajima vs Dougie Doogan vs Mad Bomber What a war this was! After nearly 20 minutes of brutal action, Nakajima eliminated Dougie with a massive lariat and Bomber knocked out Shinjo with a Triple Powerbomb. Once it was down to Nakajima and Bomber, all hell broke loose. The action spilled out of the ring and Nakajima Okite'd Bomber with a Mad Rush Bomb on the floor, and Bomber responded with two sick Mad Rush Bombs of his own on Nakajima. Wataru somehow survived that and managed to get a couple of nearfalls, but Bomber eventually put him away with a 3rd Mad Rush Bomb. Insane, valiant performance from Nakajima that fell just short. Archive Match from 2007 - Justin Starr vs Captain Insano Jr A fun outing from very early in Starr's ZIP JAPAN career. He showed glimpses of the superstar he would eventually become, but Insano Jr's aerial assault was nearly perfect. The insane luchador was diving everywhere and nailing rana's galore before locking in a dangerous looking Romero Hold on Starr for the win. - GORO vs Maki Yoshida A stunning result in a bruising encounter between two tough rivals. GORO brought his A-game against Yoshida hitting a variety of suplexes, DDTs and dives, but the old Ironhead rose above it all to deliver a pair of vicious Blue Crushes, with the second gaining him the very creditable victory. Triple Threat to determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship - Tetsuo K vs Yutaro Ichikawa vs ECKO Any one of these three men would be a formidable opponent for ZIP Man's first Junior Title defense, but Ichikawa is perhaps the most intriguing. Incredible fast paced action in this match, but when Tetsuo eliminated ECKO with a massive K Crusher, Ichikawa was ready to pounce, and immediately hit a big Cannonball Senton to pick up the win. Ichikawa vs ZIP Man will be great. To determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship - Green Crush (Takeshi Kiriyama/Asano Kaneshiro) vs Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada/Kenzo Kobayashi) Kenji Sawada may be a much hated heel, but his performance here was one of the gutsiest witnessed in recent months in ZIP JAPAN. Despite being busted open in the very first minute of the match, he persevered throughout the duration of a grueling battle and managed to get the man mountain Asano up for his signature Evil Clutch Driver for the win. Team Fighting Spirit have officially been put on notice by Pure HEEL. ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship match - Thunder Fist vs Donnie Doogan (C) Donnie was undefeated since entering the Z-1 Climax tournament last year, and seemed like his championship reign was going to last for a long time to come, but Thunder Fist came into this match with a ferocity that could not be denied. His massive fists were flying in this brutal brawl between two of the most powerful grapplers in ZIP JAPAN. Donnie managed to get a nearfall with a Doogan Hammer, but could not kick out after Fist landed a picture perfect KTFO punch on his chin. Thunder Fist is your new ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Champion and is now a two time champ! ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship match - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Cutie Booties (C) Say what you will about Reiko ZIP, she is a promoter who listens to the fans. All night there was a buzz in the crowd, and Cutie Bootie's title defense was the match everyone was talking about, so Reiko made a last minute decision to move this match into the main event slot. And what a match it was, easily earning MOTN accolades. Yumi Yamaguchi hit Cutie with everything she had, and the Joshi champ fired back with her lethal arsenal of kicks. Yumi scored a few nearfalls, including one after a dangerous looking Angelic Driver, before Ms Booties confirmed her title defense with a savage Cutie Kick. Doogan's title reign may not have survived the night intact, but Cutie Booties remains ZIP JAPAN Joshi Champion! Thanks again to the peeps who were at the show live, knowing there are fans out there who are legit invested in the characters I've created makes the ZIP JAPAN labor of love totally worth it. Can't wait for the next show! The card for the Feb 8 show has been posted on the first page, hope to see you all there!

Last night's ZIP JAPAN field trip to Saitama was a big success, with plenty of exciting matches and huge results. If you missed the show, it is currently archived here: www.twitch.tv/videos/377442256Let's get straight into the results: ZIP JAPAN Saitama Skirmish! (Friday Feb 8, 2019) - Tora Katsu vs Shuji Tsukamoto A fun and quick opener. Katsu hit a couple of big Katsu Valley Drivers, before Tsukamoto came roaring back with some stiff kicks and head drops of his own. In the end Tora Katsu put away his bigger opponent with a picture perfect Tiger Suplex. Joshi Elimination Triple Threat - Hanako Yoshii vs Vicki Violence vs Eun-jin Choi This was pretty epic. Yoshii trying to rip everyone's arms off, Choi trying to rip everyone's legs off, and Vicki Violence dumping people on their heads over and over. It went nearly 40 minutes of insane action before Yoshii managed to sink in a devastating armbar on Choi, who was forced to tap out. Not long after, Vicki hit her Avalanche Urunage/Sliding V combo to finish off Yoshii and claim victory in this war. - Demon Otsu vs Jin Matsuda Two former heavyweight champs slugging it out here, Otsu utilizing his Demon Drop fairly early, and Matsuda responding quickly with flying knee attacks and a series of vicious stomps. In the end, Matsuda seemed caught off guard when Otsu hoisted him for seemingly another Demon Drop, but turned it into a Darkness Falls for the pin. - Yumi Yamaguchi vs Aya Mizuno Man. No matter who the current champ/contenders are in the Joshi division, I feel like Yamaguchi and Mizuno are consistently its strongest performers (sorry Hana :P). These two women absolutely savaged each other in this match, both hitting tons of signature head drops and getting several nearfalls. After some vicious back and forth suplexes, Aya stunned Yumi with a big boot before delivering a Bridging German that kept Ms Yamaguchi down for the count. Early contender for MOTN. - Storm of the Century (Wataru Nakajima/Thunder Fist) vs Green Crush (Takeshi Kiriyama/Asano Kaneshiro) The current heavyweight champ looked very strong here, and even Nakajima seemed to be enjoying the rub of Fist's title as he turned in an exceptional performance as well. Green Crush are a well oiled team, and they worked well against Storm of the Century, Kaneshiro even came very close to pinning Fist with a massive Asano Bomb. In the end, Thunder Fist's massive forearm nearly caved in Kaneshiro's chest with a Rainmaker and it was over. SotC victorious! Archive Match from 2000 - Genki Raiga vs Crusher Kodo Reiko picked another winner from the archives for this week's show, as an aging Crusher Kodo reminded Genki Raiga that he still had plenty left in his career tank. Raiga was a beast, unleashing his sick arsenal of throws, including a pair of Fisherman Expresses, before he started gassing out. Kodo soaked up the damage like a sponge and once Raiga slowed down, he went in for the kill, and Okite Yaburi'd Raiga with a Fisherman Express of his own, and actually got the pin off it! Incredible stuff from the veteran Kodo. Junior Elimination Fatal Four Way - Darkness HAGE vs Ichiro Katagiri vs Johnny Rekless vs Justin Starr Back to live action here, with four of the top Juniors in the promotion trying to prove their dominance. Justin Starr went for crazy dives early and often, but paid the price. After missing a Sky Twister attempt on Johnny Rekless, HAGE caught him with a Tigerdriver that ended his night early. It was then a bit of an iron man contest between the remaining three grapplers, with multiple broken pin attempts from everyone. Johnny Rekless finally got a pinfall over Katagriri with an insane looking Inverted 450 that landed dangerously close to the ropes. Once it was down to Rekless and HAGE, it didn't take long, as Rekless reversed an Avalanche attempt and nailed HAGE with a top rope Flip Piledriver to pick up a well deserved win. Digital Dave can suck it, this match was MOTN for me, and should've been 100%. To determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Joshi Championship - Suki ZIP vs Momoe Ito Two very talented Joshi going at it here for a chance to face Cutie Booties for her title. Both brought their A game in the ring, Momoe tossing Suki all over the shop and Suki nailing big kicks and dives left and right. Eventually Suki followed up a saucy Bronco buster with her backbreaker -> Scissors Sleeper combo and secured the submission victory. Two daughters of King ZIP will collide with the Joshi Championship on the line at the next show! Triple Threat to determine #1 contender for ZIP JAPAN Heavyweight Championship - Mad Bomber vs Mr Suplex vs Maki Yoshida All three guys in this match were beastly, hitting massively impactful moves right out of the gate. This match was destined not to run as long as some of the other elimination matches on the card, and shockingly it was Mad Bomber being eliminated first when Maki Yoshida caught him with a second Blue Crush. Mr Suplex was bloody mess, but he managed to hoist Yoshida to the top rope for a nasty Avalanche Exploder for the win, and the right to challenge Thunder Fist for the Heavyweight Championship! ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Championship match - Yutaro Ichikawa vs ZIP Man (C) ZIP Man's run of dominance over the Junior Division had to end eventually, but I don't think anyone expected it to be in such spectacular style. Both men worked hard, ZIP Man hitting several superkicks and powerful suplexes, and Ichikawa flying all over like a demon. Yutaro seemed determined to win via his Cannonball senton dive, attempting it several times during the match, but ZIP Man kept no selling it. Eventually, the FIFTH Cannonball of the match resulted in a CRITICAL that left ZIP Man completely unconscious and unable to continue. Yutaro Ichikawa is your NEW ZIP JAPAN Junior Heavyweight Champ! ZIP JAPAN Tag Team Championship match - Pure HEEL (Kenji Sawada/Kenzo Kobayashi) vs Team Fighting Spirit (Akira Shinjo/Daisuke Shimura) (C) The excitement of the Junior Title match was a tough act to follow, but these four veterans absolutely rose to the challenge. This was an epic main event Tag Title match, filled with excellent technical wrestling and brutal mayhem. Both teams very effectively used quick tags to keep everyone involved in the action as much as possible, and both teams scored several near falls that would have made fitting finishes. In the end, Akira Shinjo took advantage of the chaos after a pair of tags to catch Kenji Sawada with a Sheer Drop Brainbuster and secured the pin before Kobayashi could react to save his partner. A fantastic Title defense for Team Fighting Spirit that firmly establishes them as the stars of the Division. Thanks very much to all of the folks who made it out to show ZIP JAPAN their support. The next ZIP JAPAN event will be held on Friday, Feb 22, 2019 at 8pm EST. The full card will be posted in the next couple of days, but the double main event will be Thunder Fist defending his Heavyweight Championship against Mr Suplex, and Cutie Booties defending the Joshi Championship against Suki ZIP.
