So I don't have the DLC yet, but I've made sure I don't have any workshop subs that use that content. Game loads, Enter or Space works for "Press Start," but then that's it. Both keyboard and a controller won't let me select or navigate on the screen. There's a message onscreen regarding the ability to play offline, and I can flip it using the Tab button. But it won't go away, and nothing is selectable. Any suggestions? I was using mods, but removed them, uninstalled/reinstalled the gam ![]() e itself, so that shouldn't be affecting it. |

You've tried playing the game while connected to the Internet, yes?

Yeah, I'm online all the time. I even tried it offline. Today I bought the dlc, and still no change. The menu screen is completely unresponsive.

Hm.
Try removing the contents of your "C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAMEHERE>\AppData\LocalLow\spikechunsoft\FireProWrestlingWorld" folder and see if that helps or not.
You can get there by typing in "%LOCALAPPDATA%" (without the quotation marks), going up one directory to "LocalLow" and it'll be in that folder.
Make sure you make a backup of your save. Make sure you've indeed disabled all mods by starting up the PWGR Patcher and unpatching the game.
If none of that works, try unplugging any gamepads you may have plugged in and plugging them back in.
I'm really guessing at this point as I've never experienced this myself.

Thank you for your suggestions! No luck though.
I had deleted all the data and the mod suite. But I didn't unpatch first--I wonder if this could be a reason?

Maybe.
I unpatched the Mod Suite and backed up my save before I opened the game when 2.0 launched.

Yeah, I'm worried because I just deleted everything along with the mod files, then reinstalled the game. But I never actually unpatched anything. I'm not sure if deleting would accomplish the same thing?

Solved! Steam Cloud was retaining something disruptive, apparently. I uncheck the Cloud Sync, and it was good to go.

Ah, yeah - I've had Cloud Sync disabled for most games because of stuff like this.

I've got the same problem now!
I always played Fire Pro at work & could use the mouse & keyboard to make and tamper with edits. Now I've hooked up a CSL gamepad to play something else, gone back to Fire Pro & the pad nor the keyboard work
I can get to the home screen, start on the pad, left click of the mouse or space bar on the keyboard are recognised to get me there but once on the home screen, nothing works!
It seems to be Fire Pro related as the pad works on Bloodstained & the keyboard & mouse work on other games
I've tried everything I can think of so far but nothing
ETA: I don't use mods

Did you try removing the gamepad? Seems like it might be a compatibility issue between that and the game...

Yeah, unplugged it & removed it from my controller list The same gamepad & a wireless gamepad are hooked up to my laptop at home & everything works fine on that I've ran the game as Admin, taken off the overlay, disabled Cloud Sync I think the next thing to try is completely removing the game & reinstalling |

This is bizarre, I reconnected the controller & set the inputs in Big Picture Mode, I can scroll through the Steam menus with the controller & OK & cancel with it & everything.
I can press any button at the title screen when it asks but as soon as I get to the main menu the only button that works is R3
I've uninstalled & reinstalled in the game, next I'll bring in X Box pad which I've used on my work desktop before

Just an update, the keyboard & my Logitech F710 gamepad, work fine on my home laptop
I'll take a wired Xbox pad to work tomorrow to see if I have any joy, I know full well it's worked before at work because I played through the tutorial with it
I'm just a bit concerned that the game's "broken" seeing as the keyboard input doesn't work
If that doesn't work I'll try the support (if there is any!)
