It's not like there's an inquisition going on.

If I felt the place wasn't providing a proper home for Fire Pro fans, I could always yank the domain. It wouldn't kill the board mind you, would be more of an annoyance really. But I don't feel it's the case. Asides, I've paid for this long-term. Carl is a very important member of the community, which extends past this board. He will continue to be and be that without the thing he hates the most: dealing with people. I can see the banned members. The time we've been here, we've banned 5 people. And one of them's user name was redacted for fuck's sake. For the record, I (one of the technical admins of the new site) talked with Maik, Brick and to a lesser degree Soak, on a 'larger' level there's no real split or us vs them mentality occurring. In fact over in the mod forum Ace's post links to fp2 ( www.firepropc.com/), there's no 'gag order' about either site on either forum. It is unfortunate timing that while the staff and I were preparing for launch, this incident and immediate drama following happened. The site was originally planned as a hub for the NAWC fantasy and some fringe mods, but everyone knows things change and grow. C!C has made an active effort to not separate the PS4/PC user discussion and I have always respected that, even though I wanted a bit more focused discussion for PC/mods. Most of the content of the new website is focused on a version no longer officially supported or content (not pirated) that the admins have asked to not be shared here. Basically fp2 is just holding some of the discussion that doesn't belong on C!C and also some similar discussion that is here. There are always going to be people who pick sides or choose to only use one of these resources, but no one is being forced to do those things. C!C and fp2 should be able to exist in harmony, the discussions and content should be different enough that in the end everyone is happier and having their needs satisfied. People who've lurked/been around online communities know, this is just part of the circle of life, it's okay to have different philosophies about discussion & the game, not everyone is going to see eye to eye this way the confrontation is minimized.
