Increased parameters affect the final spirit and hp damage calculation, so setting moves as signature or finisher will increase the spirit damage done. Cool, thanks for the clarification! It will be interesting to see how useful Finisher taunts can be as defensive boost shields.

It's about 1k spirit recovered on finisher taunts, out of a total of about 65k spirit if I recall correctly, so it's not a massive amount by itself. But, if you had it set to a high performance value or set it to trigger after multiple attacks throughout the course of a match it could make a huge difference. If an edit taunted right before a big move into a pin, it might give him enough of a boost to kick out. You probably want to test that for verification, though. I wonder if something like this could be abused to restore spirit.

Dawn's Steamfunk Jaguar does a LOT of the big, long taunts. She's practically immune to submissions.

Keep in mind that you're losing the finisher if you do this, including any critical related skills that apply; it's definitely not something to just throw on any edit. The signature taunts seem more reasonable, and you get five slots so those are better candidates (imo).

This talk about taunts with S and F tags is very intriguing indeed. Early this year I made a cowardly-ass 50-ish-point jobber who is a stereotypical shrimpy glasses-wearing nerd, and gave his taunts signature tags because I didn't want to give any of his moves a boost (except for a small package which is his finisher), and honestly I just didn't like the look of blank lines on the character select screens. Particularly, he has the Surrender pose prio'd after some weak punches and the Look At Hand prio'd after knife-edge chops, both tagged as Signatures and both of which occur multiple times a match. He also does that one taunt where he wags his finger and gives a little lecture (sorry, forgot the name of that one for the moment) when the opponent is dazed, and constantly hitches up his pants when the opponent is down, also both of which I set as signatures. Although he has a dreadful 1-12 record on the year, he has proven surprisingly difficult for far stronger edits to put down and been involved in several really long, highly-rated matches, and it has been driving me crazy because he was originally intended to be more or less a squash jobber, but definitely does not succeed in making his opponents look particularly powerful. Looks like I've finally found an explanation for this.

The signature taunts seem more reasonable, and you get five slots so those are better candidates (imo). I think this could be used/abused in an effective way, especially if you compensate for the loss of using Finisher for an offensive move by using Stardom special skill and a Special as your strongest match ender. Imagine a Priority like this coupled with Stardom: Any Front/Back Grapple move -> Finisher Taunt -> Special Submission. (or even like the Running Face Kick) The taunt being a finisher gives a big defensive Spirit boost while the taunt working with Stardom skill would increase the power of the following Special submission by enough to possibly compensate for that move only being a Special and not a Finisher. So even though you're losing the finisher status that could go to a move, the boost from it being a taunt helps a special seem closer to a finisher in offensive power. Granted, you do lose CRITICAL! potential but only if you're using "Finisher Only" type. If you use "Submission" type and carefully choose your moveset to avoid CRITICAL! moves spammage, it's really not a problem.
