They aren't legally required to provide the PC players with anything else. Wondering why the pre-order for dlc season pass hasn't been released yet? That's why, and no it's not fear mongering. Nah. I'd bet anything that they haven't released the information yet about the pre-order because they know that the backlash on the price is going to be huge. Think people are pissed today being in the dark? Wait until they find out that the season pass is going to be the amount of a full release at minimumSpike's MO is to wait to drop the hammer until they have good information. So we'll get a solid release date or details on the third DLC or something to get us excited as they twist our balls with the price. I thought that, by now, everyone expects the DLC price on PC (before sales) to line-up with PS4? Especially since I recall Spike saying they plan on releasing the NJPW DLC to match up with the base PS4 cost.

I trust them to follow through with the release because, erm.. well i already said a lot about it. It would simply be too much incompetence not to, they have until the 30th to show their work or else even I will start to take potshots at them, making jokes like "spike chunsoft will release the promoter in 2020" and stuff like that.
As for the price,i'm covered, been hoarding money since two months ago.

Yeah, they said the equivalent of the PS4 pricing but it's hard to guess how far they'll push it. Technically offering the Season Pass for $70 would be the equivalent of the $20 difference between the PC base & PS4 version + the $50 PS4 season pass. I can't imagine them doing that but it's within the realm of possiblity. However they frame it or whatever good news they pair with it, there's going to be a number of pissed off people. Best case scenario of us getting it at $50-60 still puts it at the price of full game and (almost or more, depending on what you paid) 2x the entry price on the base game.

I get that $70 bucks would make it "equivalent" to the PS4 pricing plan, but if they price it any higher than $50 bucks I'll be getting the DLC some other way.

I can give to you as gift if somehow you find yourself unable to buy it, you've done so much for this community and the game itself, that i'd hate you to see you not getting access to the season pass.
That and someone that plays Fire Pro and barely knew me as a person once gifted me a fucking expensive game just so i could play it, and i have never repaid the favor - I feel like i gotta own the karma somehow.

It's not a money issue so much as a "I'm not going to support that sort of gouging of a niche market" issue. Thank you though. I do the same thing with the $300 ultra limited LP box sets that come out in the metal world. Just release something reasonably priced that everyone can enjoy instead of over-pricing shit and preying on the people with no willpower or those that still haven't figured out that being a "super-fan" just makes you super easy to fleece.
Just because I refuse to buy them at that price, doesn't mean I won't have them.

People have said before that the whole package might be around 40 or 50 bucks. i'm buying because i really play this game, so the more tools to play with, the better.
I'm from Brazil as many of you know (I still can't stress this enough) and i got the game in early access, back then it cost me 36 bucks in my currency, but right now the game is priced at 57. Which is quite the jump - I'm guessing the season pass won't cost more than the game itself and will be around 40, or even 36. but that's being too optmistic...
Considering they slapped NJPW license into it, including the likeness and voices of the performers, might end up costing more than the base game itself, specially because we don't know what the last piece of dlc is going to be, might be even more NJPW stuff, "justifying" its price.
Spike other games aren't very cheap either, going from 36 to 55. The latest Danganronpa is rather pricey, costing R$105,99 which is why i didn't buy when it came out, so i should really fasten my seat belt because the pricing department might throw the book at me.
I'm playing safe and assuming its 40 at minimum, but i swear i won't be surprised if i see the price tag at 80 friggin bucks because exchange rate here is a bitch .

hey, so, maybe i'm misreading the intent in saying "I'll get the DLC some other way" here, but let's not make overt or oblique references to pirating things, or otherwise cracking the DLC, on a public forum.
i really couldn't care less if you do so or not, but don't express it here, yeah?

I was thinking the other day and I'm not sure on this kind of stuff but could the resin it's taking so long for the dlc to pc be they are trying to work out a way where it won't be stolen or modders can get to it free of charge.. (Not saying the modders will just saying spike trying to cover themselves)

(Not saying the modders will just saying spike trying to cover themselves) I wouldn't blame them.... ...but no. It's either done at this point and they're just waiting til the end of the month (cause you can't just release stuff the moment it's ready) or their mismanagement has led to them placing too much focus on the PS4 version even now and we're not getting it this month.

(Not saying the modders will just saying spike trying to cover themselves) It's just mismanagement. Attempting to put in some sort of a mod protection at this point would probably result in them introducing even more bugs for everyone, given their track record. Nothing they can really do about that now.

I get that $70 bucks would make it "equivalent" to the PS4 pricing plan, but if they price it any higher than $50 bucks If I had to guess, I'd guess it's going to be $60 with a limited time mark down to $50 for the full season pass. $30 for the base + $60 is the equivalent of the PS4 Digital Deluxe edition and that was marked down 10% before launch. Marking the DLC down temporarily would help create a sense of urgency and make people feel like they couldn't wait. If they do the literal pricing of $20 for NJPW Heavyweight/Fighting Road, $20 for Fire Promoter, $15 for NJPW Junior Heavyweight, $15 for ??? - a $50 season pass would be a $20 discount over buying everything individually. That's decent. It'd also be a decent way to counter the cherrypickers. If you were only going to buy Fire Promoter and NJPW Heavyweight for the parts, you might as well just pay the extra $10 for everything. Even if you don't care about Fighting Road or the premade wrestlers in the slightest.
