Hi all,
New Fire Pro player here.....(and YES, I'm blown away by it!) My question is this:
I know this game has existed for many years now, and I'm sure some universal parameters and stats exist that are generally agreed upon....is there anywhere I can find those stats so I can fine tune my creations with some accuracy? I looked at what most of the subscribed items have, but it seems that different people view the same wrestler in different ways.
Again, I was wondering if some universal database exists that I can view that has these parameters already.
Thanks! gbm

Search the site and you will find it with a quickness. Also check the fire pro classic sub board

There's no "community database" sort of thing for stats. It's all subjective.

I agree, it IS all subjective, but I thought by now there might be a universal agreeing on some of the more popular CAWS. EDIT: WOW, your manual is chock-full of useful stuff! Thank you much.

Thanks. Make sure to throw a thanks to Denizen, he did most of the work, and he updated it for World without any input from me.
But yeah, it's really all about keeping the ratings for edits you're matching up/using in your game consistent, more than it is about a majority consensus.

And after reading that I am happy to see I was/am on the right track in how i create my CAWS. I give a ton of thought into the intangibles of a wrestler as I create them. Cant wait to dig into this game some more. Thanks again!

I feel like, generally speaking, it's all up to you to create your own tiers.
You can look at Spike's premade characters to get a feel for it (check out the Almanac in the classic board for stats/totals throughout the series).
When making your own characters I tend to look at 150 as the median, 170 as the high end and go from them. Always room for interpretation and adding a critical style can really take up a ton of points, so I don't tend to see those as 1:1 for high offensive/defensive stats. It's just a different thing.

Ok long story short, I gave a deep read through the parameter/stats/etc manual posted in the sub forum, and I am having trouble deciding on a style for King Kong Bundy and Big John Studd.
From what I read, it sounds like they should both be set on Power, with Heel Return, and no "special skills."
Does that sound like I'm on the right track?

I’m still new, but a few months have made me more comfortable. Like Carzilla said, it’s all subjective. Use the guides, let it be a learning process, and soon enough you’ll start to find your own “template” (or approach).

You might get away with Giant instead of power so that they have the hard to pick up part, but just depends on how you want your matches with them to go. Superstar is usually pretty good for most american wrestling due to the taunting bonus and first use finisher bonus. Monster might actually be good for Bundy at least.

Finisher doesnt really help submissions to give it to Studd (at least that new Bearhug looks WAY better for him, though!) because their base damage is low.
Monster is just Stardom + Adapt, and Adapt isnt that great unless they're going in vs a bunch of Power-Crit edits because Finisher crits arent affected by it.
Though Bundy may benefit from Finisher (or a properly setup Stardom) to make his body splash more potent.

I actually wound up using giant for both, with heel return. ....and cranked their ukemi down to 10/10/20. It enabled them to come out and smash people without the fear of being suplexed all over the place, but let off the gas a bit towards the end. For me personally, having Studd and Bundy body slammed and suplexed all over the place is a dealbreaker; so however I can avoid that I will.

After reading the guides on this awesome board over the weekend, I plan to go back and tweak his value that dictates how often he Irish whips to the corner...I'd love to see more Avalanche attempts. (I forgot what the value is called again, but I read it effects the times attempted at corner Irish whips)

High Showmanship will get more corner whips, but still rides on his Irish Whip %. You could potentially keep it lower in Small/Medium then crank it up 5-10% at high to promote Avalanche attempts.
