A question for people who played Promoter in the previous Firepro games: how does choosing your roster work? Do you have to add entire promotions? Stables? Wrestlers one by one? I am asking because the way I have my feds structured: WWE has RAW, Smackdown and all the modern shows (NXT, UK, 205, etc.), but I also have a ton of past "stables": Ruthless Aggression, Attitude Era, New Generation, etc. Pretty much all of my feds are structured this way and I fear that if the only option of selecting your roster is by selecting a promotion, I will have to restructure all the rosters in my game (because I don't want to mix present and past). The previous incarnations of Management of the Ring were in games that had full rosters and you could start your own promotion. We have no ideas how this incarnation is going to work because there's not a full roster.

I'd assume you'd just pick your promotions to add. Maybe they have a roster cap so you can't load it with 50-100 wrestlers with all s rank, but I have no clue.

it seems contain fake name rosters like the old fire pro games @@ It has a couple of fake wrestlers who are heavily based on real ones but no, the old fashioned fire pro roster is not included in the game... it's just too much of a grey zone to work with these days.

They confirmed that we won't be required to use the fake SWA roster in Fire Promoter if we don't want to. Outside of mission & NJPW story scenario, the default roster isn't required. Personally, I just dump Spike's roster into the Retired section and forget about it.

Not entirely sure if I'm interested in the NJPW DLC anymore tbh. The edits I've seen don't look THAT much better than NJPW edits from the likes of Avenger and GreatnessGD. I mean this is supposed to be authentic models and they can't even get Super Strong Machines' attire color right.
Not worth the asking price IMO, even if it comes with a few new moves.

If I had to guess how Fire Promoter works, I'd guess that everybody you import into a promotion gets randomized stats with a minimum baseline according to promotion size.
Example: You make the WWE, set the promotion size to global, select what wrestlers you want and everybody it imports gets randomized stats with a minimum baseline of whatever Spike sets for the Global size so the promotion doesn't immediately collapse due to bad RNG.

In that case, you should wait for a review of the released DLC and see exactly what you're getting. I think the edits are the least attractive part of the package, since it's just Spike's spin on custom wrestlers using assets that will be available to the player. I certainly won't be using the "official" NJPW edits over my existing roster, although I may pull some parts/moves to improve my collection. If the story mode and additional assets for edit creation aren't enough, then pass on it. I'm hoping they don't make a bad decision like locking Story mode to a specific difficulty, similar to what they did for the mission mode. That would make it useless for anyone who wants to play through it.

Its probably going to run super similar to final fire pro. Instead of just using preset rosters like ffpw it will probably just use the roster list and organizations of your choosing that you have already set up in your own game
Wrestlers not directly implemented on specific feds will probably be put in the general talent pool for non signed talent.
Edit makers already assign stats like rank and charisma which will affect other stats like contract cost for a talent. The mode could easily assess the quality of a fed at the start based on average rank of the roster and charisma values, roster size, and location in world
