Hello All,
LionsBreak here, based in Kansai, Japan.
When not playing FPWW I’m on another wrestling game (Tew) if it’s Okay to mention that and we have a franchise mode on YouTube currently running, and that’s all good fun using the NJPW company.
Soon we’ll have NJPW series for FPWW as well starting up, and maybe one for Stardom too, so plenty of stuff going forward.
As such I wanted to join the forum here and have a good read of various sections and see what tips and tricks I can pick up and maybe implement into our game.
Look forward to connecting with some of you here, and maybe in the long run over on our YT channel also.
Have a great day all.
LionsBreak.

Very cool. Welcome-welcome to the C!C, LionsBreak. If it's knowledge you seek there are plenty of fine guides and resources here as well as community members willing to help.

Thanks Wafflo, I think general gameplay is easy enough to pickup, but I’m interested in learning the craft sections etc, but with making videos and working I’ll have limited time - but none the less, interesting stuff.

Hahahaha 100%. Long reigning champion in Siberia...helps that it hasn’t been defended in 10 years!

Hi everyone! I found this awesome-looking community on Reddit, when looking up information about FPWW, and I always introduce myself whenever I join a new community (just good manners, IMO) so here I am! I’ll be honest, I don’t really watch too much wrestling anymore, I guess they kind of lost me right around when the Attitude Era was beginning. However, I was a HUGE fan when I was a kid (I’m 42) and I’m a gamer and have been for my entire life. I’d seen FPWW on Steam in the past, but I’ll be honest, I shuffled right past it as it didn’t have any promotion endorsements, etc. They started to pique my interest a bit (but not enough to purchase at that point) when I saw the stuff come out for New Japan. I wasn’t knowledgable at ALL about New Japan even in my heyday as a huge fan, but I’ve found some really cool videos about both New Japan and also the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotions, and I started looking more back into wrestling games since I watched these videos (which I’ll link below, I truly think you’ll enjoy them, and I hope linking to them is OK!) Well, obviously, FPWW has the New Japan and WWRS expansions, and with the Steam Summer Sale beginning today, I took around a $100 plunge and bought the game and every piece of DLC for it. I did this because not only did I see those cool promotions that I’d been learning about, but I also realized how crazy moddable this game is, and that it appeared every WWF/WWE and WCW wrestler has been created, and while I’m obviousIy not sure on who makes the best creations, I aim to find out – which is a big reason I joined this community and FireProPC! While I haven’t necessarily heard the greatest things about FirePromoter, I purchased that too as I’ve definitely been looking into games like TEW as well, as text sims suit me right down to the ground, and it will definitely be awesome to see my bookings play out graphically! While I may not be the most knowledgable person about the wrestlers of today, I hope that my knowledge of wrestling from the 70’s through the new millennium will help me to be a productive part of this community! My name is Jay, and I look forward to interacting with all of you, and a HUGE THANKS for having this awesome resource available! Hope to speak to all of you soon! Here are those videos I spoke about earlier in the post, by YouTuber "Super Eyepatch Wolf" -- I think you'll love them. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQCPj-bGYrowww.youtube.com/watch?v=bYKOw8Ao9t8www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHVCTOmQNZM

Welcome to the C!C, Jay! 👋😄
Fire Promoter is limited but I managed to wring out a lot of fun from it over a period of months.
I think the key is really to focus on enjoying the matches you book realizing that the "storytelling" aspects of the mode are few and far between. There just isn't enough cohesive story that the game provides you so it means you really have to imagine a lot of the storylines yourself from show to show. It's fun as a competitive exercise to create matches with your edits that yield higher rankings than those of rival promotions. It's fun to have some interaction with rival promotions too. But there just aren't enough story events that the game gives you. And when they do provide them, they are random and have almost no follow-up in the game. Like sometimes the game will randomly say that two of your edits are in a rivalry. All that means is that you will get a higher audience draw if you put those two in a match on the next show. The rivalry is not a result of your booking and nothing will happen after that match ends.
Still, I had fun starting with my promotion in the lowest popularity slot and gradually being the #1 promotion and getting "S" popularity in each region. I got some great matches and fun head-canon from my own booking.

I was actually talking with some of the gents on here last night on a stream for an E-Federation, and I'm guessing Promoter won't help with what I'm looking to do long-term, but that's OK! I really want to try to do a rewrite of history, starting around the time of Wrestlemania 3 and going through the Nitro era and beyond! I think I'll likely just do video/streams of it, but I think I'll do it all myself instead of doing much with Fire Promoter, although I definitely do plan to get some use out of it as a competitive game mode, if nothing else! It's been great how friendly everyone has been, as while I'm not well-versed on pro wrestling here in the modern era, I definitely have a lot of knowledge (and had a lot of fun) watching it as I grew from a boy into a man, and it definitely brings back a lot of fond memories when I was looking at the Steam Workshop and realizing the true depth of FPWW! Thanks again for the warm welcome, to you, and to everyone else who has made this old guy feel at home! :D

You are very welcome! 😄
Thank you for your enthusiastic introduction! This community runs on that enthusiasm and passion 🔥
Sorry to hear that Fire Promoter won't really help your project but I totally get it. I treated it as an "alternate universe" for my e-fed since I knew the mode wouldn't really help me with my shows. I just liked using my e-fed edits in it and I actually did have a few positive effects on my fed. The part of Fire Promoter where your edits randomly find tag team partners from other feds is actually pretty cool and I used that in a storyline in my actual fed.
I think a number of us here, including me, aren't really up to date on modern wrestling. I haven't regularly watched WWE in years, AEW only got a few weeks out of me last year, and I don't follow wrestling in Japan just cause of the difficulty and my own lack of time. I still kinda keep an eye out for any big stories with WWE as I've been burned before in missing awesome "eras" after walking away from the product. I totally missed out on the nWo, Attitude Era, and ECW because I had stopped watching wrestling after the mid-90's product of WWF/WCW just bored me. After that occurred, I learned never to completely ignore real life wrestling just in case a promotion rights itself or a new one starts up. So I'll keep an eye on the news and see if anything interesting is going on. It's been a few years for me since that has occurred.
One way I do stay somewhat up to date on modern wrestling is seeing the "move maker" moves that people are making in FPW that are based on real life wrestlers.
I spend about 99% of my Fire Pro time on my own fictional e-feds with custom edits and moves for those edits. Every now and then with FPR I would get a desire to make a real like wrestler that I used to like but I haven't done that at all in FPW. One of the best things about Fire Pro is just being able to take the game as a tool and use it in exactly the way that you want. Everyone's Fire Pro experiences are customized for what they want from it. I still find that amazing about the series 🏆

Everyone's Fire Pro experiences are customized for what they want from it. I still find that amazing about the series 🏆 You and I definitely appear to be a lot alike as far as our following of wrestling here in the real world. I didn't miss out on the nWo, and I mostly must thank Goldberg for that. He quickly become one of my favorites of all time, even though he was pretty limited as a wrestler. He definitely kept me interested, though, and I wasn't missing Monday nights there for a good while. I've definitely got to look more into how the multiplayer works, I haven't even looked at it yet, but I figure there MIGHT be some good competition there. I definitely need to look more into E-Feds and how they run, and if they accept new wrestlers, etc. I'll admit, I haven't done nearly enough reading, or know enough about the community, to know what I might be missing. One big thing that might hold me back as far as my content creation goes is that I'm DEFINITELY not an artist, so I'll have to look into generators or what not for making logos and the like, but it is definitely something I'll be interested in. I'm going to spend a lot of time on these forums (and the other main FPW forum) today. (I also want to see if any other games are covered here, as I was having some fun last night just starting out in WR3D, and it was also interesting!) I was watching a stream the other night of an E-Fed and it was very well done, so I think the sky might be the limit as far as creating good content goes. It gave me something to do as I was adding a metric ton of wrestlers to Fire Pro, I think it said I added 1900 different wrestlers, so I had quite the wait. :) Definitely seems to be an interesting game, as well, but obviously FPWW is much better graphically and looked a lot more customizable as far as move sets and more go. Thanks again for making me feel right at home here!
