The press room is filled with the usual reporters, at the front of the room is Tank McDaniel, flanked by Warrior Pro Champion Doc Wyatt and G2 A Block winner John Logan.Tank: Welcome everyone to the 2019 Golden Gate Tournament Final’s press conference. I’d like to congratulate both men sitting beside me for winning their respective blocks for the second consecutive year. It is our expectation that they will put on a hellova match. If John Logan wins, he will earn a title shot. If Doc Wyatt wins, he will be able to choose, from the tournament participants, his opponent at the next show. On top of that we have a really exciting card for you, with some very interesting matches that will lead into our first anniversary show in July- more details to come on that at a later date. The card for this Thursday, June 6th at 5:30pm PST on Twitch:G2 Showcase Tag: Kevin Royce/Salvador Sosa vs Johnny Throwback/Lobo Muerte
iWe Intercontinental Championship: Dirk van Oranje vs Rampage Hunter II
Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole Outlaws
Wonderland Dojo vs Baron Wrestling School
Golden Gate Tournament Finals: Doc Wyatt vs John LoganI’ll open the floor now for any questions… Reporter: Tank, any update on Vic Baron’s condition following the assault from Yoshi Tayaki in their tournament match? Tank: (sighs) Yoshi has been fired. He can say he quit, and that’s fine, but his relationship with this company is completely over. While I thought he presented some very interesting matchups, he’s continued insistence on attacking wrestlers outside of the ring is and was uncalled for. Vic is going to be fine, but the toll of the last 6 months- between his grueling feud with Machine Gun and the lengthy tournament schedule- he needs to heal up. And it’s killing him that he can’t participate in his father’s match. Reporter: About that match, do we know who will be participating? Tank: Both Austin and Wondy will be announcing their teams later today, but the stipulations for that match are quite large. The winner will be the permanent head trainer of the Warrior Pro Wrestling School- Training Grounds. Reporter: Any comment on the situation going on in Lucha POWER? Were you aware of the ownership change? Tank: I… uh…. don’t have a comment right now. Reporter: Doc, its been almost a year since you and Logan last faced off- are you excited for the rematch? Doc: Am I excited? No. Should I be? What has John Logan done to deserve my attention? He had a really great match losing to Rampage, a guy I beat. Several times in fact. He had a really great tournament… except he didn’t have a really great tournament. He only won the block because Rampage helped him beat that goofy Dutch guy. I should be fighting a goofy Dutch guy right now. So no, I don’t give a shit about Captain Second Place. Reporter: John, this seems to be a bit of redemption for you, losing this tournament last year and getting a second crack against the same foe. What do you think will be different this year? Logan: I’ve never been more motivated for anything in my life. Doc Wyatt needs to be shut up. Doc Wyatt isn’t as good as he thinks he is. That’s a fact. Yes, I lost to him last year. Yes I lost my title shot to Rampage. And yes, Rampage got involved when he shouldn’t have against Dirk. I can’t change the past, and I can’t control other people’s actions. But I’ll tell you one thing beyond a shadow of a doubt. Doc Wyatt will not beat me on Thursday. Doc Wyatt will not beat me for the championship. Doc Wyatt’s days of running his mouth unchecked are over. Did you watch his match in TIPWF? Notice that Lone Star belt isn’t sitting over there next to him? Notice how his human wall Brick isn’t there next to him? The era of Doc Wyatt is over, and I’m the one closing the door. Doc: You know what I hate? I hate… the concept that you think you’re better than me. Where did that come from exactly? You honestly think you’re sniffing this title? You would have to beat me twice. Twice. There isn’t a chance in hell that’s happening. So declare whatever you want. Era’s are for chumps. Doc Wyatt is immortal. Logan: Three days. You have three more days to run your mouth in that motherfucking suit. Then you gotta pay the bill. Thursday is collections day. (Both men get up and square off nose to nose, Logan stone faced while Doc grins ear to ear as the press conference ends)
After the press conference Austin Baron released a simple press release stating his team for his match this week:

Standing just outside of Pioneer Hall, Wonderland is holding a small press conference…Wondy: Ladies and Gentledicks. It is my honor to announce to you the fine young lads that will be by my side when we collectively beat the panties off of Grampa Stickuphisass Austin Baron. The Wonderland Dojo has long been a haven for the more…eclectic side of wrestling, but it is also built on a foundation of beating the crap out of people I don’t like. Austin Baron, I don’t like you. You know who also doesn’t like you? Stan Classic. He thinks you suck at wrestling and you smell funny. So he’s in. My second partner? Well that’s a real treat…. You decided to choose a couple of your students, but I thought it more interesting with who you didn’t chose. So I called him up. Turns out he’s from LA, and he wasn’t super keen about getting shafted. So I give you my second partner, none other than Byron “Showtime” Worthy. I’m gonna beat you Austin. I’m gonna beat you like a lonely 13-year-old that’s been left at home by himself for a whole weekend… Reporter: Wonderland do you- Wondy: NO QUESTIONS! (Wonderland leaves the podium, ending the press conference.)

The 2019 Golden Gate Tournament finishes off with a bang tomorrow when the winners of both blocks, John Logan and Doc Wyatt, face off in a rematch from last years finals. At stake is an opportunity at the Warrior Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. In addition, two other major titles are on the line as the Warrior Pro Tag Team Champions face off against a buff set of challengers, and a rematch for the iWe Intercontinental Championship from Badlands takes place. And if that wasn’t enough, the fate of Training Grounds is at stake as the Wonderland Dojo faces off against the Baron Wrestling School. All the action kicks off tomorrow, June 6th at 530pm PST LIVE on TWITCH.Match Previews: G2 Showcase Tag: Kevin Royce/Salvador Sosa vs Johnny Throwback/Lobo MuerteA showcase of the best performances from both blocks of action from the G2 tournament. Kevin Royce and Salvador Sosa will try to thwart the two runners-up from Block B. Meanwhile Lobo Muerte and Johnny Throwback will try and shake off their last match defeats and end the tournament on a positive note. iWe Intercontinental Championship: Dirk van Oranje vs Rampage Hunter IIA rematch that came to pass after Rampage’s interference cost Dirk a shot at the A Block. Can Rampage avenge his loss to the Flying Dutchman? Or will Dirk continue his historic dominance with the Intercontinental title and set his sights toward a more prestigious crown? Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole OutlawsBeef and Brad love to look good, and love looking at themselves looking good. What would make them look better? How about a big shiny gold belt? The issue might be taking it from the Jackson Hole Outlaws Brick and Roy Carter, who have looked dominant as a team despite some fraying in the group as a whole. Can the Oiled Up Bro’s take the gold or will the Outlaws continue their run? Wonderland Dojo vs Baron Wrestling SchoolThis one has a bit of history. A slowly building association with the Wonderland Dojo proved too much for Austin Baron, the head trainer for Warrior Pro, to sit around and take. The result was Baron attacking Jack Gold- a recent Dojo addition who was kicked out of Austin’s school- and getting suspended for his troubles. Now Wonderland and Austin will face off for control over the Warrior Pro school, with a heavy dose of bad blood mixed in… Golden Gate Tournament Finals: Doc Wyatt vs John LoganThese two have been circling each other for a year- pretty much since the last time they both fought- and we will finally get the rematch we’ve all wanted. If Logan wins he earns another crack at Doc- this time for the championship. If Doc wins, he gets a chance to choose his challenger for the title from anyone that participated in the tournament. This one could bring the house down…

The Golden Gate Tournament Finals is officially in the books, and it was a really fun show. I'll have the usual write-ups and match videos tomorrow, but for now you can watch the full show here: Also, I wanted to take a moment and give a huge THANK YOU to amsterDAN Senator Phillips Ripley joshthejerseyboy Wonderland and Firehawk for contributing edits into this tournament and the Finals Show. This was by far the biggest event in Warrior Pro's young history and it was even more fun getting as much collaboration as it did from all the fantastic feds going on right now. When I first started Warrior Pro a year ago, this was one of the first things I wanted to do once it became more established. It was a blast putting it together, and even more fun seeing people enjoy following it. Big plans for Warrior Pro (and Lucha POWER for that matter) going forward, so stay tuned...

Last night the 2019 Golden Gate Tournament came to a close with a very exciting Finals show, with two titles on the line, plus the fate of the tournament itself hanging on a rematch of last years finals. Scroll down for all the matches and recaps, as well as post show promos from the participants… G2 Showcase Tag: Kevin Royce/Salvador Sosa vs Johnny Throwback/Lobo MuerteRecap: A star studded match from four men that lit up the tournament. Each man seemed to pick up where they left off in block play- Lobo flying, Throwback tossing people around, Sosa refusing to be pinned, and Royce bringing the chairs. As it turned out, the chairs would be the undoing of Kevin Royce, as a Dark Phoenix from the top rope nailed Royce on his chair, knocking the big man out cold.
Ring doctors needed to help Kevin to the back after the match…
Winner: Johnny Throwback and Lobo Muerte Rating: *** iWe Intercontinental Championship: Dirk van Oranje vs Rampage Hunter IIRecap: This was, quite simply, the instant frontrunner for match of the year. Rampage and Dirk left it all int the ring, and it seemed to turn into a battle of Rampages spear vs Dirk’s axe kick. After several close kickouts from both men, a devastating sequence from Rampage saw a top rope suplex into consecutive spears for the dramatic victory. This would crown a new IC champion for the first time in over a year…
Winner: Rampage Hunter Rating: ***** Tag Team Championship: Beef and Brad vs Jackson Hole OutlawsRecap: The best looking tag team in the business, Beef and Brad, looked to steal the tag team titles in their first match from the Jackson Hole Outlaws, a team that has struggled with infighting over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately for The Beefiest Duo, the infighting didn’t stretch into the ring as the Outlaws looked their usual dominant selves, securing a victory when Roy Carter sunk in an armbar that he refused to let go of even after the bell rang…
Winner: Rating: *** 6 Man: Wonderland Dojo (Wondy/Stan/Worthy vs Baron Wrestling School (Austin/Angelo/Markus)Recap: A ton of bad blood here, and some major stakes- with the future of the Training Grounds school up for grabs to the winning captain of either team. For a while it seemed like Team Baron would have the match in hand, overwhelming the Wonderland Dojo. But Wonderland himself would remind the wrestling world he’s far from finished as a wrestler, shaking off a Winter is Coming and nailing the promising rookie Markus Winter with a bridged suplex for the win, and the position of Head Trainer…
Winner: Wonderland Dojo Rating: **** Before the main event could get started, Machine Gun Mayhem made a surprising appearance…Golden Gate Tournament Finals: Doc Wyatt vs John LoganRecap: As with any Doc Wyatt match, lots of words were exchanged before this bought, and most of them were backed up in the ring. But John Logan seems more determined than ever, and Doc seemed overwhelmed in a way we’ve never quite seen. For the first time since Warrior Pro opened its doors, Doc Wyatt has lost two singles matches in a row. A third one would spell the end of his reign as champion, and allow Logan to finally realize his dream.
Winner: John Logan Rating: **** After the show a few wrestlers were made available to the publicAustin Baron began to talk to reporters before Byron Worthy walked by… Bryron: Hey! Old man! You need me to pack your stuff for ya? You talkin about retirin? Get outta here and let a winner talk! You fuckin done. You DONE.”
Without sayng a word Austin walks through the crowd of reporters and slaps Worthy across the face, inciting a full out brawl between the two that takes security to break up… John Logan talks to reporters about his win ”I’ve said throughout this tournament that this was a walk of redemption for me. I never really got over not winning that first tournament last year. It ate at me. It was in the back of my mind. Maybe hurt my focus. But tonight I got that back. And I proved that I can beat Doc Wyatt. And you know what? I’m going to do it again. Better enjoy your time with that belt Doc, cause its going around my waist and there’s not a damn thing you can do about that…” Brick and Roy Carter are seen outside Doc Wyatt’s locker room… Roy: Cmon man, we gotta go in there and see how he’s doing.
Brick: (hands Roy his tag title belt) Ain’t goin in there. Don’t give a shit about Doc. You change the baby’s diaper. Ima go get a beer…

RUMOR MILL It has been an eventful and busy month in the world of pro wrestling, which means its time to run through the Rumor Mill…
Doc Wyatt has had a rough month. After a landmark win over Cowboy Johnston, “The Gentleman” has been suffering a slow tailspin. In his first Lone Star Championship defense, Doc immediately dropped the title to Lil Lariato in a MotY candidate bout. Then he lost the Golden Gate Tournament to rival John Logan and could potentially drop the Warrior Pro championship to him as well at the Warriorversary show next month. Couple that with infighting among the Jackson Hole Outlaws, and it’s plain that Doc Wyatt has seen better days. Turns out that may be sooner than you think… As first reported HERE, Doc might be in for just that as an opportunity at a rematch with Lil Lariato appears to be a real possibility. There are also major rumblings that a new member of the Jackson Hole Outlaws could be debuting imminently. A win over John Logan next month would also go a long way to smoothing things over… --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucha POWER‘s first event under the La Guerra banner had lots of news, including the release of two of its former stars in Viper Lopez and former owner El Macho. Both seem to be quick in finding new employment, as El Macho will be doing dates for Warrior Pro (with other promotional dates to be announced) and Viper Lopez is telling people she’s already signed with a new promotion, though has been mum on the name. In fact, when asked she seemed to be under the impression the very promotion itself was a secret…. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was at the G2 Finals that Machine Gun Mayhem issued a fairly broad open challenge for an opponent at a future Warrior Pro show. Though not directly answering that challenge, i.W.e’s Obnoxio seems to have done just THAT. Word is that Machine Gun is planning a response of his own, and a challenge at Warriorversary is a real possibility. Then again with these two, predicting outcomes is literally an exercise in madness. Quick Hits:Vic Baron is presumed healthy now after a brutal couple of months fending of the likes of Machine Gun and Yoshi Hashi. There are talks of rolling his excellent matches with Johnny Throwback into an official best of seven series. Loco Dixon signed a contract with Lucha POWER just before the merger and has been full time for them since June.
Lucha POWER is expected to announce another new signing in the coming weeks pending approval form La Guerra managementThe Massholes have canceled all future indy dates, presumably since Tommy O’Malley seems to have locked himself inside the Luxurious Purple Jacket Lounge…

4th of July weekend is a time to get together with friends and family, do a little BBQing, and watch some fireworks. Its also a perfect opportunity to watch some large lads beat each other up. This Friday, Warrior Pro Wrestling returns with a special Warrior Grounds #11. Besides being the go home show before the big anniversary show later in the month, we’ll also see the Tag Team Championship get defended in a rematch of the tag team tournament from earlier in the year. As a bonus, Wonderland will be in the house as well to officially accept the position of head trainer for Warrior Pro from “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel. So, grab a cold beer, and celebrate the nation’s independence with Warrior Grounds THIS FRIDAY July 5th! Match Previews: Maverick Reed vs Danny AngeloTwo young up and comers face off in the opener that could end up stealing the show. Maverick could be looking to carve out a singles run with a win heading into the 49th Parallel tournament, while the rookie Danny Angelo will be aiming to make a name for himself among a crowded field of impressive recent Training Grounds graduates. Look for lots of dangerous knees from Maverick, and if Angelo can avoid them his size advantage could give him the upset. Austin Baron vs Byron “Showtime” WorthyOne of the major fallouts from the G2 Finals show was Byron Worthy, once thought to be Baron’s top student, turning on his former teacher to team up with the Wonderland Dojo. A win over Baron would prove that Worthy is here to make an impact, while a win from Austin would allow for a certain level of revenge after being ousted as head trainer. Look for both men to try and tap the other with their version of the crossface, with the decision coming down to Worthy’s athleticism vs Baron’s experience. Warrior Pro Tag Team Title Match: Jackson Hole Outlaws vs Gears of WarThere has been all kinds of drama surrounding the Jackson Hole Outlaws since the G2 Tournament. But even amid turmoil, the tag team of Brick and Roy Carter has been as dominant as ever. They’ll face a rematch with the team they defeated to win the belts in the first place, as Gears of War look to avenge the one loss they’ve suffered in the company. This should be a hard hitting affair that could end quickly depending on who can survive the carnage.

Just a small update. Due to some behind the scenes stuff, the show may not get posted today. My hope is to still have it up at some point over the next couple of days (Monday at the latest). The show will still canonically be held on Friday, the actual results will likely just be a bit delayed.
I do think the show will be worth the wait, and will be a nice lead in to Warriorversary in a couple of weeks. We here at Warrior Pro Wrestling appreciate your patience...

Warrior Grounds #11 The show starts with a video package recapping the Golden Gate Tournament Finals, showcasing John Logan’s undefeated run, and Wonderland’s team defeating Austin Baron’s team.
Maverick Reed vs Danny Angelo
Recap:
A super impressive match from two rising stars. Danny Angelo showed off his combination of strength and athleticism, catching Maverick with early offense that seemed to be leading to a quick finish. But the eldest Reed brother survived the onslaught and slowly wore down the big man, finishing him off with a Tower Hacker Bomb for the win.
Winner: Maverick Reed Rating: ****
Austin Baron vs Byron “Showtime” Worthy
Recap:
This one was personal on both sides. A teacher vs student showdown saw both men focus on locking in the crossface, and neither man wanting to give in with a tap. After some vicious back and forth, Austin was able to sink the crossface in deeep, and Worthy had no choice but to tap.
Winner: Austin Baron Rating: ***
Warrior Pro Tag Team Title Match: Jackson Hole Outlaws vs Gears of War
Recap:
Fast paced and brutal, with both teams firing off haymakers from the start. Eventually with all four men brawling on the outside, Roy Carter rolls back in to beat the 20 count and gets nailed with a Falcon Arrow for the pinfall. Brick seemed extra slow getting over for the save. GoW goes on the attack right after the bell, giving Brick a spear and a vicious splash to Roy, leaving the former champs laid out.
Winner: And NEEEEW Tag Team Champions, Gears of War Rating: ****
After the match, as GoW celebrate to the back, both Brick and Roy slowly get up….
You can see words being exchanged that get increasingly heated. Both men start shoving each other, and as Brick turns to leave Roy throws on the flying arm bar- refusing to let go even as security comes out to break it up. Eventually he’s dragged off of Brick as the show goes off the air...

OFFICIAL WARRIORVERSARY PRESS CONFERENCE
Tank McDaniel sits at the head of the pressroom flanked by John Logan and Doc Wyatt. Notably absent from Doc’s side is his usual enforcer, Brick. A larger than usual group of reporters sit in the audience facing the three men.Tank: Welcome everyone to the official press conference for Warriorversary. This show will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Warrior Pro Wrestling, and we have plans for this to be the biggest show we’ve ever had. We have a truly stacked lineup for you guys headlined by a huge main event of John Logan vs Doc Wyatt for the Heavyweight Championship. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg: Its only fitting that I lace them up and participate in this big event. I’ve called up my friend El Macho, who you all know has some free time on his hands right now, and we’re going to tag team it against two baaaad men: Johnny Sixnames from TIPWF, and the legendary Kerry Texan from AAW. Doc: Seven. Tank: What? Doc: Seven names. Johnny Sevenname. This has been established. Tank: Anyways… Brick and Roy Carter are going to face off at the request of both men to settle beef. And while I don’t condone how this match was hyped…. Machine Gun Mayhem will get his match against the hardcore clown Obnoxio. There may be further match stipulations to that one, but that will be announced at a later time. Besides the heavyweight title, we will have two other titles on the line. The newly crowned Tag Team Champion Gears of War will face off against the Baron Family. We've also received word from iWe owner David Harley that Rampage Hunter’s first iWe Intercontinental defense will be against King Nyabinghi. And finally, my nephew Lefty McDaniel will be facing off against a mystery opponent that will be revealed later this week.
Our official card: Tank McDaniel/El Macho vs Kerry Texan (AAW)/Johnny Sixnames (TIPWF)
Brick vs Roy Carter
iWe Intercontinental Title Match: Rampage Hunter (c) vs King Nyabinghi (iWe)
Machine Gun Mayhem vs Obnoxio (iWe)
Warrior Pro Tag Team Title Match: Gears of War (c) vs Baron Family
“Lanky” Lefty McDaniel vs ???
Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Title Match: "Gentleman" Doc Wyatt (c) vs John Logan
We’ll now open the floor for questions… Reporter: Tank, do you have a comment on the Wonderland situation? Tank: (sigh) No… not really. The offer to take over Training Grounds has not been officially accepted or rejected, at least to the best of my knowledge, though “get bent” can certainly lean in one direction. I have been unable to talk to Wondy since he won his match. It has been tough to be honest, because I consider Austin Baron a close friend- and I never wanted to create this situation given his- and his family’s- impeccable history training young wrestlers. I have some fences to mend to be sure, and hopefully this situation works itself out over the next couple of weeks. Reporter: John- how do you feel heading into your rubber match with Doc? Logan: I feel great. I feel confident. My win over Doc last month showed the world that not only can I beat Doc, but right now I can beat anyone in the world. I’ve worked real hard for this moment. There’s no question in my mind that come July 18th, I’m walking away from this arena with that belt. Doc: I’m sorry… Are you kidding me? Did everyone have a giant brain aneurism and forget who the champion is? Me. It’s me knuckleheads. I’m the champion. And I’ve been the champion for the better part of the last year. I’ve literally beat every single person thrown in front of me. How about you start showing me some god damn respect. Someone ask me a question. You- in the front row, ask me a question. Reporter: Uh… are you confident you’ll.. uh.. bounce back from your loss in the G2 tournament? Doc: Is that seriously your question? Seriously Tank are you grabbing local high school reporters? Are you really asking ME if I’m confident? Logan: You seem to be answering questions with more questions. Doc: Fuck you John. There, that was a statement. Fuck. You. John. That better? They’re fucking rhetorical questions. Of course I’m confident. How many times have you seen me lose to someone two matches in a row? Answer the question high school reporter. Reporter: Uhh… Doc: Zero. The answer is zero idiot. I have never lost to someone two times in a row. Because I don’t lose matches twice in a row. This belt isn’t going anywhere. Write that down high school reporter. This…belt… fuck you write slow. This hack next to me can assume that a non-title match win guarantees that he beats me for the belt. That’s fine. It will make it that much sweeter when I humiliate him next week. Again. Remember last year when you all wanted to anoint him the star of the promotion? How did that turn out? (turns to Logan) That’s a god damn rhetorical question John, it doesn’t require an answer. Logan: (calmly smiles at Doc and turns to the reporters) Doc’s game has always been to get in his opponent’s head. But this time he can’t. Because Doc is scared. He lost the Lone Star Championship, he lost the G2 Tournament, and his big man back up, Brick, seems to be sick of his bullshit and is now gunning for him. Those distractions will cost Doc Wyatt. I have no distractions. I am solely focused on beating Doc Wyatt. The match goes over and over in my head, me dropping him on his head and the ref counting 3. On July 18th, you all are going to get to see it too. Both men stand up and go face to face for a photo opportunity. After a long standoff Doc slaps Logan and walks off, as Logan stands his ground and smiles before leaving through the opposite door, ending the press conference.Warriorversary will take place LIVE ON TWITCH Thursday July 18th at 6pm PST
