A message from the Cogburn Ranch Cowboy Johnston: Alright, this here thing turned on?
Duke Cogburn: Don't ask me, I'm not exactly big on this technology stuff.
Hailey Comet: Aw, you two, do you need me to save you here?
Cowboy: Ah'm tryin' to do this mahself!
Duke: What he means to say, is that he's too much of a lunkheaded stubborn idiot to ask for help.
Hailey: And there! Y'all were already good to go! Now talk!
Cowboy: Aw, shoot. Um, that wasn't the best of ways to start this out...but anyway, Warrior Pro, ah'm ready to head on over for a long trip in the sky t' head up north, come Wednesday!
Duke: What we wanted to do here, was to send a proper message to the Jackson Hole Outlaws. Since Cowboy's riding alone on this one, I just had to mention that the rest of us are keeping a close eye on these proceedings. Win or lose, I want the rest of you to know that there'll be a day of reckoning if you stick your damn heads in my son in law's match. Way I see it, it'd be a real shame if we had to seek retribution.
Cowboy: But ah ain't scared of none of that mess! Doc Wyatt, yer known as the sorta feller that steps up when things git real important. Ah've seen it time an' time again, hell, it's why you got our belt around yer waist! Ain't a more difficult guy out there to beat in a big money match, an' ah know that's the case. But ya know, ah'm not so bad in that category, mahself! Sure, you got yer win over Lariato, but just cause yer able to beat him don't mean yer gonna beat me! You sent yer boy Red out there to wreak havoc, insultin' mah wife, goin' after Lariato, an' doin' his best to bust up the Ranch. But yah know, yer real mistake there, was that you sent him on over by himself! Throwin' Red all the little bones after you get yer big belts ain't gonna keep a risin' star like him happy, but that's yer problem!
Duke: Don't you have a point to get to here, Cowboy?
Cowboy: Yeah! Doc, talk don't mean a thing if you ain't interested in backin' it up! An' ah ain't flyin' all the way out there to come back empty handed! All that bull that came out yer mouth, from your lackies, ah'm gonna remember all of it, and focus that into one big lariat that'll rattle yer bones an' put you down for good! Then ah'm gonna fly on back with that fine TIPWF Lone Star title over mah shoulder, an' you're gonna pound sand!
Duke: Trust me, Doc, you better hope Cowboy takes that belt from you now. I've spoken to Walt Callahan, and if you somehow hold on here...you don't even want to know what'll head your way next...

Quarantine, the first live Warrior Pro show in front of fans in months, proved very entertaining with entertaining matches up and down the card, including a few shocking finishes. You can watch the show in its entirety HERE, or you can scroll down for all the matches, recaps and post show interviews... BONUS MATCH: “Flyin” Jimmy Hawkins vs Trey TaylorRecap: A last minute pre-show add on match, this one was an excellent showcase of two young promising future stars. Trey controlled the match early, and looked like he might have a shot at the upset until Jimmy turned on the afterburners and, in a sign of things to come later in the night, overwhelmed Trey with offense, finishing the match with a Hawk Splash for the pin.
Winner: Jimmy Hawkins Rating: **** Reed Brothers vs The LORD’s Force (iWe)Recap: This resembled a bar room brawl, with both teams taking an aggressive approach from the jump. Though both teams had windows to seal the victory, it never quite happened and eventually the bell rang for a 30 minute time limit draw.
Winner: DRAW Rating: ***
After the match both teams continued to jaw at each other, and it took Warrior Pro officials to separate them before both headed to the back... Warrior Pro Intercontinental Championship Markus Winter vs Rampage Hunter (c)Recap: Arguably two of the hottest wrestlers in Warrior Pro faced off in one of the best matches of the year. Rampage looked his usual dominant self and seemed poised for another quick finish. But Winter survived the storm, kicking out of the Lights Out powerbomb and mounting his own offense. The extended schedule Rampage has been on may have caught up with him, as he seemed to gas as the match wore on, and eventually Markus Winter would hit a Winter is Coming for the upset.
Winner: AAAAND NEEEEEW Champion, Markus Winter Rating: ***** Warrior Pro World Tag Team Championship Outlaws (Roy Carter and Byron Worthy) vs Gears of War (c)Recap: As physical and hard hitting as you would expect from these two teams, with both sides proving why they should be the top team in the division. In the end, Roy Carter found himself cornered and a brutal Dark Alley finished him off and gave Gears of War their first title defense.
Winner: Gears of War Rating: **** TIPWF Lone Star Championship Cowboy Johnston vs Doc Wyatt (c)Recap: An instant classic, and a rare instance of a match living up to the hype. The bout started like a typical Doc Wyatt match, with Cowboy pushing the offense and Doc sitting and waiting for his spot. When he did finally find it, it was devastating with a Brass Knuckles punch the ref somehow missed, a Black Gold Cutter, and a deeply lockedc in figure four. But the legend never wavered, and seemed to weather the storm in stride. Even interference from Red Masterson that looked like it might result in a count out didnt phase the big man. Finally, with Doc looking tired and desperate, Doc over reached for offense, and got caught in a brutal backdrop that lead to a deeeep Foothold Arm Hold that he had no choice but to tap from
Winner: AAAAAAAAAND NEEEEW Lone Star Champ, Cowboy Johnston Rating: *****
After the match, Red Masterson immediately jumped into the ring and, passing a fallen Doc Wyatt, went nose to nose with Cowboy, pointing at the Lone Star belt. Cowboy, without saying a word, smiled and left the ring as Red stared him down before turning to help Doc up. Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship John Logan vs Vic Baron (c)Recap: If Vic Baron came to make a statement, he accomplished that goal. In what many thought might be the match of the year, Vic dashed all hopes at around the 9 minute mark. After what had appeared to be an even back and forth start, the defending champ suddenly flipped a switch and in a way we’ve never seen, overwhelmed John Logan with a barrage of offense. Leg Lock Suplex, Dragon Suplex, Crossface Killa, Baron Slam, Package Piledriver, Leg Lock Suplex. All were hit in succession and without any chance for the challenger to answer with offense of his own. It was the last Leg Lock Suplex that would do in Logan to cap off the most impressive win in Vic Baron’s career.
Winner: Vic Baron Rating: *** Due to social distancing policies, there were no post show interviews. We’re expecting statements and announcements from Warrior Pro and its wrestlers at some point next week.

Warrior Pro Wrestling is proud to announce the 3rd annual G2: Golden Gate Tournament. The G2 is what launched Warrior Pro and continues to be a place where stars are made, rivalries are born, and the next contender for the World Heavyweight Champion is determined. The rules are the same as last year: twelve of the hottest stars both inside and outside the promotion will compete in 2 blocks, round robin style, to determine who will compete in the main event of the Finals to earn a shot at Vic Baron’s belt at Warriorversary II. A win will earn 2 points, a draw 1 point. The top point totals from each block will move on to the finals, with tie breakers determined via who won the head to head matchup. There’s an added bonus too. For the first time ever, every match of the G2 tournament will be streamed LIVE on TWITCH. That’s right, all the block action will be live, with post show press conferences being posted the day after along with full match recaps. The schedule for this year’s tournament is as follows: Round 1: Thursday June 4th @5pm PT Round 2: Thursday June 11th @5pm PT Round 3: Thursday June 18th @5pm PT Round 4: Thursday June 25th @5pm PT Round 5: Thursday July 2nd @5pm PT Finals: Thursday July 9th @5pm PTThe blocks will be announced later this week, with Thursday revealing Block A, and Friday Block B.

In anticipation of next week’s kickoff to this years G2 Tournament, Warrior Pro Wrestling announces this year’s A Block. Machine Gun MayhemA devastating powerhouse who is looking to shrug off two high profile losses to John Logan, Machine Gun enters his second G2 tournament. A heavy favorite to win the inaugural tournament in 2018, Machine Gun’s lack of focus could derail him again this time around. But if he’s able to stay on point, it could be a rough go for the rest of the field. Markus WinterThe current Warrior Pro Intercontinental Champion has been red hot, sporting an undefeated streak dating back to November of last year and includes wins over Roy Carter, Jimmy Hawkins, and Rampage Hunter. Winter proved a fiesty underdog in last years tournament but expectations will be high as The Viking Warrior looks to pass his next test. Kenta Aoki (Dragon Fire Japan)Aoki, one of the bright stars of Dragon Fire Japan, will wrestle stateside for the first time, trying to make a name for himself and prove that he is one of the world best and brightest. His match against rival Japanese promotion’s top star GPC should be circled as a potential MotY contender. G.P. Christopher (Lightning Pro)The current Victorious Medal holder makes his first appearance in a Warrior Pro ring and brings a list of victories unmatched by the rest of the field. The cocky young stud will have a target on his back, but its going to take potentially more than one upset to keep GPC from claiming the block. Red MastersonWarrior Pro’s resident cowboy and number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship is out to prove that he’s more than just Doc Wyatt’s muscle. With relatively few matches on his resume he’s seeming a wild card that very well could shock the world and finish at the top of the standings. CJ Fresh (SHTCWA)For the second straight year, the G2 will have Super Hyper Turbo representation, this year inviting one of its top stars to compete. CJ has not had an active year with the promotion on hiatus, but make no mistake- The Freshest will need to be taken seriously. Be on the lookout for his matches against long time rival GPC and a potential new rival Kenta Aoki… Tune in tomorrow for the B Block reveal...

With A Block announced yesterday today we reveal the B Block for this year’s G2 Tournament. While A Block consists of mostly first time participants and rising stars, B Block is stacked with tournament veterans as well as current and former world champions. Perhaps of greatest note is that John Logan and Doc Wyatt, the finalists two years running, will be competing in the same block this year- guaranteeing a new finals matchup. John LoganLast year’s tournament winner has had a rough go since he defeated Doc Wyatt, losing three title opportunities. But despite his struggles to claim a world title- Logan has been a killer the G2 Tournament. He undefeated in Block action two years running, and his sole loss was in the finals of the 2018 tournament finals. The path to the Finals will go through Logan, but with the rest of the field as strong as it is, one has to wonder if a third straight finals appearance is realistic. Rampage HunterOver the past year one could make the argument that Rampage has been the hottest wrestler in the country, winning three titles from three different promotions including the PCP World title. One has to wonder if the busy schedule is catching up with him though. He was shocked by Markus Winter in dropping the IC title at QUARANTINE, and his currently participating in t he Battle of Mobile Bay. If he’s able to juggle the load, he is the only one in the Block with convincing wins over Doc, Logan, Hawkins, and Big Bama Ray- the Belt Collector could very well add a tournament win to his collection. Doc WyattThe most successful G2 participant this side of John Logan, Doc Wyatt has worked his way into the finals for the last two years despite his block record remaining just north of .500. The leader of the Jackson Hole Outlaws will no doubt be looking for a third trip, and a shot to reclaim the Warrior Pro World Title he lost back in November 2019. He’ll have a tough road, having to work through Rampage and John Logan- plus first time match-ups with outsiders Max Mosley and Big Bama Ray. But if there's a way to weasel his way to the top, you have to assume Doc Wyatt will find it. Jimmy HawkinsThe ugly duckling of this block, and maybe of the tournament as a hole. He went without a win in the 2018 tournament, and outside a brief run as AAW Intercontinental Champion, has struggled to find consistent success. That said, Hawkins is still just 25 years old, and has had matches taking the likes of John Logan, Vic Baron, and Robino- all established top of the food chain vets- to the brink. Hawkins has yet to live up to his “future star” potential, but a run of wins here could change that narrative quickly. Max Mosley (iWe)One of the top stars in iWe will make his debut in the G2 as a relative unknown. The former iWe Intercontinental Champion has not been active as of late, but is an experienced technician that could prove a difficult out for anyone in the block. He’ll be looking to do what Dirk van Oranje couldn’t- win the block and claim a shot at the Warrior Pro World Heavyweight Championship. Big Bama Ray (PCP)Bama is well known to Warrior Pro fans for his 5 star matches with Rampage Hunter, but the big man from PCP is a force and a legit threat to take the entire block. He, like Max Mosley, will have the element of surprise on his side as we’ll see first time match-ups between him and virtually the entire field. But more importantly, we’ll get to see Bama Ray vs Rampage one more time- which could be the highlight of the B Block action. A win over Rampage could also send ripple effects down the rest of the block standings, where every win will be crucial to see who is able to climb out of this buzzsaw.
Night One Block action starts NEXT WEEK, Thursday at 5pm PT only on TWITCH

Due to unforeseen events, Warrior Pro Wrestling regrets to inform fans that the G2 Tournament has been postponed. We do not have new dates as of yet, but will be sure to let everyone know once we do. All fans who purchased tickets to the event will be eligible to either receive a refund or have it honored on the new date. Some notes: Unfortunately some RL stuff has come up and I basically need to re-assess my window to make this work. This tournament, which basically launched Warrior Pro and its affiliated feds, is my favorite thing to run every year. And this year's tournament is going to be awesome. But I want to make sure I have the right amount of time to give this the attention it deserves. So stay tuned. Hopefully its only a week or so, and hopefully the eventual payoff is worth the wait. And if its not, well, blame Doc Wyatt- I'm sure somehow its his fault...

After a two week delay, the G2 Tournament finally kicks off TONIGHT at 5:30 PT on TWITCH. For the first time ever, the entire tournament will be broadcast live- and Night One should be a proper kickoff to a month of big time matchups.
Here is a quick rundown of the card for tonight... BLOCK AKenta Aoki (Dragon Fire) vs G.P. Christopher (Lightning Pro)Two of the fastest rising talents in Japan will kick off the tournament with a bang. GPC, who signed on for the tournament under the agreement that he would open every show, will take on a highly motivated Aoki. Both men will be making their Warrior Pro debut, and with both garnering buzz as front runners in the block, this could prove a critical win for both men. CJ Fresh (SHTCWA) vs Machine Gun MayhemA big contrast in styles, CJ Fresh will make his Warrior Pro debut against the monster Machine Gun Mayhem. MGM has been touted as the early favorite, but a big debut win from CJ could prove to people that the veteran from Super Hyper Turbo should not be looked over. Markus Winter vs Red MastersonA preview of the next Intercontinental Championship match, these two rising stars have a good shot at stealing the show. Expect this one to be fast and hard hitting, with both wanting to prove that they belong in the main event picture. BLOCK B
Big Bama Ray (PCP) vs "Flyin" Jimmy HawkinsBig Bama Ray makes his return to Warrior Pro to face Jimmy Hawkins, who has to be the biggest underdog in the tournament. Both men have struggled with losing streaks as of late, and a win here could be the jump start they need to make a legit run at the block. Rampage Hunter vs Max MosleyRampage’s mini slump saw The Belt Collector lose one from his collection at Quarantine last month. But you have to assume he’ll be up and ready for his match against the veteran Max Mosley. There has never been any love lost between Rampage and members of the iWe roster, and you have to wonder if Max is getting any tips from Dirk van Oranje heading into this match. Doc Wyatt vs John LoganThe main event of night one renews one of the biggest rivalries in wrestling. Doc vs Logan has headlined the first two G2 Finals, yet this year they’ll face off in the first round, competing for the first time in the same block. Its hard not to consider whoever wins this the favorite going forward, with the loser having to continue to hear whispers that their prime is behind them. TUNE IN TO TWITCH FOR ALL THE ACTION TONIGHT AT 5:30pm PT!!!

Night one thoughts:
Like I said before: Love the font you're using this year. The ring and its aprons look snazzy as hell—simple, clean, really rad.
Aoki vs. Christopher: G.P. always brings it, and this was a fun, fast-paced match. The Twisty-Doo Neckbreaker no-sell into another twisty-doo neckbreaker for a 2.9 spot was especially awesome. Christopher put up a good fight, but, man, at some point Aoki just took control and couldn't be stopped. I won't be too surprised if he goes all the way in Block A.
CJ vs. MGM: Oooooh boy is CJ in tough here against the big, scary, terrifying muscle man.
LOL WHAT the weird Irish Whip reversal spot where CJ just... didn't move then teleported. Wut lol.
Fun beginning flurry with MGM just beating down CJ but CJ not backing down and coming back with some straight-up chops and smacks. The double elbows into the slap and Koppo Kick spot was really rad. The back-to-back Kotaro Crushers were rad, too.
Ooooh Spicy Drop to the outside, then the standard CJ hot-dogging lol. Really surprised CJ started to take control, tbh. Then he hot dogs too much and gets caught! That Big Boot spot was dope. The reversal on the second Big Boot into another Kotaro Crusher was even doper. Then a Big Boot and the running follow-up is countered by a big ol' chop to the chest! Love it. Never seen that Chokeslam counter. Nice. Even radder to see it hit the second time. Bigggg powerbomb got the 2.9. Thought that was it for sure!
Andddd the hot dogging probably cost CJ. I'm maybe a bit hyper-critical of my own edits, but that match maybe went a few minutes too long, mostly due to CJ just not getting the Fresh Drop beyond the one to the outside. Dunno how much of it was RNG and how much of it was just him hot dogging it. I like that about his character to a degree, but maybe he overdoes it a bit and doesn't go for the killing blow enough. Really hard to say. Didn't like the match as much as the first mostly because it went a few minutes too long, but there were some really good spots, and the dynamic between the crafty, fast, technical skills of CJ and MGM's pure power lead to some really cool spots.
Masterson vs. Winter:
Bigggggggggg boi Masterson over here. God damn. His attire is really simple, but clean, though. He looks great. So does Markus, for that matter, but Masterson just really nails the big, bad, tough-ass classic heel look.
Loovvveeeddd the big powerbomb no-sell from Markus. Double toe kick spot was really weird and cool too, lol. The go-behind into the biggggggggggg-ass move into the mount, only for it to be countered by Markus, and then for Markus' mount to be countered back—that whole sequence was fucking awesome.
The Lariat/dropkick spot was really cool, too. Almost looked like Markus was selling the lariat as getting knocked out of his fucking boots.
Interference spot was awesome! Especially with the ignore by the ref and the 2.9. Real shame that the lariat wasn't followed up by a cover.
Ooooh big sit-out butt buster into the mount again. Follow-up powerbomb only to be no-sold. LOVE IT. Then a follow-up Lariat kills Markus shortly after. Great shit.
If I may make one critique, overall, of your edits, Lefty, it's that maybe you rely on the follow-up running spots a BIT too much. It leads to some really awesome spots, and I love the risk-reward of them, because those moves can be countered—as we saw in the MGM and CJ match, along with this match, but I feel like maybe you could cut down on them a bit. Either cut down on the amount they happen, or what I'd lean towards, less edits having them. Just because so many edits have them, it kinda lessens the impact of them happening because they happen so frequently. When they hit it's fucking awesome, and when they miss and lead to a counter, it's equally as awesome. I just think that maybe a few too many edits have them. <3
On the other hand, love, love, love your use of mounting prios. The sit-out butt buster into the mount powerbomb, especially, is great.
Edge Hawkins vs. Ray:
Really surprised to see WWE let Edge make an appearance at WPW.
First time seeing Bama, so excited to see what's to come.
Go-behind sequence into Jimmy going up top, only to get dumped was really dope. Bama isn't here to play, getting a 2.9 seconds before that. And so early too. God damn.
Ooooh loved the sequence of the Salida del Sol (is that the Salida del Sol? I forget. You know what move I mean :P) into the running Swanton. Shame it couldn't be followed up. Big ol' spinny-doo powerbomb and a 2.9 was a dope way to end that exchange, too.
Was really hoping for a Hawkins win here, but Bama looks like a big ol' hoss machine for taking down Hawkins.
Hunter vs. Mosley:
Mosley looks like if Sugar Dunkerton and CJ Fresh had a kid and I like it lol.
Whoaaaaaaaa. Early Styles Clash into a one-count. LOVE IT. Then a biggggggg ol' Piledriver on the outside! Man, these two weren't fucking around. Going a million miles a minute.
Biggggggggg powerbomb kickout from Mosley! Hoo, boy. I love him already.
Ooooh triple Germans for the win. The rapid two counts just before that were rad, too. Was really pulling for Mosley here tbh, but it was a really great, fast-paced match. Fun shit.
Wyatt vs. Logan:
Welllllllllllllp. This will be amazing, no doubt.
Have I said that I love Logan's knee braces? Probably. But that deserves repeating: they look fucking fantastic. I would MAYBE make the part that connects the braces matte, or the top of the braces matte just for some contrast, but that's a very minor nitpick. I really like that the kneepads themselves are matte compared to the braces.
Wyatt is everything that CeO should have been. He's honestly probably the best character, overall, going in the e-feds right now. He's a smarmy piece of shit that backs it up really well, and I wanna see him get his pixelated head caved in in every match that he wrestles lol. You write him really well, and his in-ring psychology backs up his character. He's a chickenshit who's proved he can still win via talent, whilst also sometimes resulting to dirty tactics. He's fucking great. Logan's rise has been equally as great to watch, to be honest. Their rivalry is awesome.
Man, these two, like the match before, got right to the point. The trading two counts just before the ten-minute mark was a very rad sequence. Sneaky top-rope roll-up for a 2.9 was rad, too.
Also that DDT into the lift-up Brainbuster from Logan: *chef's kiss* Was that a custom move? Or just a sequence I've never seen before? Either way it was fucking rad. Wyatt no-selling it made it all the more rad, too.
Then the Okada style neckbreaker into the submission, and another lift-up Brainbuster for a 2.9? That whole sequence was just fucking ace.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Wyatt steals it! Then the beat-down. Perfection. This is exactly how the match needed to end. Logan looked like a million god-damned bucks, then Wyatt just outsmarts him. Perfect cheap heel shit, and especially in a tournament setting. Makes it seem like Wyatt was conserving himself for later matches. Really great psychology in a short, fast-paced match. Seriously, this or the opener was probably MOTN for me.
Really, really enjoyed the night overall. I like that Block A has some smaller dudes along with some big ol' hosses. CJ was a bit of a disappointment for me, especially compared to some shorter matches, but it was a really fun night overall. Too early to call out of the block probably but I can see it coming down to Aoki or Wyatt as the Block A representative.

The first night of the 2020 G2 proved to be a fantastic primer to the weeks ahead, with fun entertaining matches up and down the card. Due to county restrictions, their were no fans in attendance for the show. Warrior Pro seems hopeful that some form of audience will be able to be present before the tournament is complete. Stay tuned for next week, where we’ll have Night Two action! Scroll down for full matches, recaps and post show interviews, as well as the current standings after last nights card. Kenta Aoki vs G.P. ChristopherRecap: One of the most hotly anticipated match-ups of the entire tournament kicked things off with what may already stand as a top five match of the whole event. Both men started the match exchanging hard strikes, before kicking into high gear, resulting in numerous near falls that eventually ended with Aoki landing a second Samurai 84 Driver for the victory.
Winner: Kenta Aoki Rating: ***** CJ Fresh vs Machine Gun MayhemRecap: Power vs Speed was the story coming into this match, and it proved an accurate description. After trying early to match Machine Gun shot for shot, Fresh picked the pace up and seemed to get the big man on his heels, even landing a Fresh Drop that may have finished if not for the fact that Machine Gun tumbled to the outside. CJ then proceeded to toy with the monster instead of finishing him off, which ended poorly for him- eventually walking into a Bone Crusher triple powerbomb.
Winner: Machine Gun Mayhem Rating: **** Markus Winter vs Red MastersonRecap: A teaser for a future Intercontinental Championship bout was a brutally hard hitting match from start to finish. Winter, who has seemed unbeatable over the last six months, struggled to handle a determined Masterson out to prove that the A block is his to lose. Despite all of that, Winter proved hard to put away and it took a last second Cowboy Lariat from Red to seal the victory and avoid a 30 min draw.
Winner: Red Masterson Rating: *** Big Bama Ray vs Jimmy HawkinsRecap: Maybe the most impressive win of the night. Big Bama Ray dominated virtually the entire match, cutting Hawkins off anytime he tried to get something started. It seemed like Jimmy might have been brewing an upset when he set Bama up for a Hawk Splash, but the big man got up and Bama Slammed the former AAW IC champ for the decisive victory.
Winner: Big Bama Ray Rating: *** Rampage Hunter vs Max MosleyRecap: Rampage’s record against iWe talent when in their first meeting was 0-2. Rampage had also lost his last two matches, including one for the Intercontinental belt. All of those things had to be on his mind as he stared across from iWe vet Max Mosley. And for a while it seemed like Mosley was going to out wrestle the young star- baiting him into wild moves and crushing him with a piledriver on the outside. But back in the ring Rampage hit another gear and a triple german suplex proved enough for the win.
Winner: Rampage Hunter Rating: *** Doc Wyatt vs John LoganRecap: Another chapter in this rivalry gets written. John Logan, trying to shake off another failed attempt at the title, looked like a man on a mission. He dominated the match from the jump, hitting Doc with multiple Logan’s Run DDT’s that would have ended anyone else. But not Doc, who absorbed the punishment, then picked his spot to catch Logan off guard and surprise him with a rollup and the win.
Winner: Doc Wyatt Rating: **** STANDINGS After Night One: POST SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE: Doc WyattRampage HunterRed Masterson

With the G2 Tournament officially kicked off, we turn our attention to Night Two- where we should start to see some clarity between the top and bottom halfs of each block. Check out all the matches LIVE on Twitch this Thursday at 530 PM PT. Match previews are below, with promo’s from some of our fighters going up between now and fight time.
Our Current Standings: Match Previews for Night Two: BLOCK A G.P. Christopher (Lightning Pro) vs CJ Fresh (SHTCWA)A chance to renew an old rivalry as the two brashest wrestlers on the planet face off in a dynamite opener to the second week of G2 action. Both men suffered tough losses last week, and neither will want to get stuck in an 0-2 hole. Expect a fast paced match that could prove to be all action- we could see the MotN in the opener for the second week in a row. Red Masterson vs Kenta Aoki (Dragon Fire Japan)A first time matchup between two of the hottest stars in their respective promotions. Aoki is gaining increasing buzz as the favorite of A block, while Red seems poised to show the world he’s more than just Doc’s muscle. The winner of this match will have the inside track to the Block lead- and it may come down to size vs speed to determine the winner. Machine Gun Mayhem vs Markus WinterMany observers thought Machine Gun was lucky to escape last weeks match with a win, pointing to multiple points in the match where CJ Fresh could have put him away. If he leaves the door open again this week, the Intercontinental Champion is unlikley to make the same mistake. Winter took a massive beating from Red last week, and he may have to prepare himself for another. A focused Machine Gun should be able to pick up the victory, but its anyone’s guess on if he can maintain that focus for an entire match. BLOCK BMax Mosley (iWe) vs Doc WyattSurprisingly, this will be the first time Doc Wyatt will face off against a member of rival promotion iWe. Mosley was impressive in his first match against Rampage, but Doc will present a different challenge this week. Doc’s impressive victory over John Logan proves the former champ may have his mojo back- and that opportunistic sixth sense will prove difficult to scout leading up to their match. That said, a win over Doc would put “Magnificent” Max on the map, and keep him in the thick of the standings. John Logan vs Big Bama Ray (PCP)John Logan will have little time to dwell on his latest set back to Doc Wyatt, because Big Bama Ray is not fucking around. The big man from PCP put on the most impressive performance of the opening night, dismantling Jimmy Hawkins before showing a violent side after the match, continuing the punishment. John Logan has never lost a block match in a G2 tournament before last week, and if he’s not careful, he could be looking at an unfathomable 0-2 hole. This match could easily steal the show, and might serve as a strong predictor for where the block is heading. Jimmy Hawkins vs Rampage HunterOld friends will collide in this clash of styles. Still considered a future star of the company, Jimmy Hawkins has struggled to maintain consistent success, and his first round bout is a perfect example of that. He’ll have a chance to adjust that strategy against a former training partner who looked at the top of his game last week. You would assume Hawkins will try to wear the big man out by keeping the pace moving, but if he’s unable to do so, this could look a lot like Jimmy’s first match, with Rampage holding a firm 2-0 record heading into a week three rematch with Big Bama Ray...

A few promos went up today on WPW.com in lieu of tomorrows G2 action. Before getting to that, if you missed it, El Macho had some strong words for Felix Santana Jr and a match seems inevitable between the two. Night two of the G2 tournament will be broadcast LIVE on Twitch tomorrow at 530pm PT. Due to the continued issues with the pandemic, there will again be no crowd present for this weeks show. Warrior Pro officials are working with local government and are optimistic to have at least limited crowds return before the end of the tournament. Doc WyattMarkus WinterRed MastersonRampage Hunter

A word from G.P. Christopher: GP Christopher: One match, one loss. Not the way I'd like to start things off, but damn if that wasn't a good time up until the end, and let me be the first to say that Kenta Aoki is the real deal. As the Victorious Crown holder, I'll put the whole world on notice in saying that Kenta's got gold around his waist in the future, it's not about if, it's about when. So, while I hate losing, if I gotta lose, at least we tore the house down in the Preliminary Main Event, and at least I got no shame losing to that man.
GPC: So now, I'm in a little bit of a hole, not a deep one, but it's a hole. And now I got an old buddy coming up here tonight. The Freshest of the Fresh, the coolest of the cool, CJ Fresh. Every time we've ever locked up in the ring, it's been a hundo sort of deal. And I don't expect anything else tonight. CJ, whoever wins this one, let's give the fans tuning in something that makes them forget all the frustration, all the fatigue, all the troubles, let's give them a big time shot of adrenaline that keeps them up half the night and makes them feel like they went fifteen with Akira Maeda the next day! Because I know when you take your best shot, when I take mine, it's a fifty/fifty deal, just about who throws himself out there harder, who finds that last big opening at the right time. And that being the case, you better believe that I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure I'm not going down zero and two!
