This game looks cool as shit.
I love that the guy narrating sounds just a little bit like Rod Serling. That has nothing to do with the game, I just think it's cool.
I'm sold.

It's like a first-person, open-world Shadowrun. At least from the video, I don't know anything about plot or whatever outside of it. But looks like you're some independent contractor type (shadowrunner), work for various other types like a fixer and corpos (corps), and of course all the cyberware and everything else. Jeeeeez I can't wait.

There is a lot of crossover between Shadowrun and Cyberpunk. Real difference is Shadowrun incorporates the supernatural and metahuman stuff.
The Solos in Cyberpunk are basically the Street Samurai from Shadowrun.
The Netrunners in Cyberpunk are exactly the same as Deckers from Shadowrun.
Both have Fixers as information brokers.
I will definitely be getting the game, although I suspect by release day we may be on to the next gen consoles if not close to it so I will likely be getting it on the higher grade platform. Like when GTAV and Last of Us came out near the end of the PS3 life cycle and upscaled versions of them were soon released on the PS4.

Same. I'm still only at the beginning of Witcher 3 because I kept getting side tracked on doing other things. Some people don't like the combat in Witcher 3, but once they added more gore and flourish kills I got addicted to cutting limbs and heads off and would just go looking for creatures to fight to see the cool kills.

I've never been much into those settings but given who made the game, my interest was piqued from the start.
Needless to say, this last week has been pretty good about reinforcing that interest.
I just hope that whenever it comes out, it still runs and looks good on PS4. I don't plan on getting another console for a while, even if next year proves to be the beginning of the next generation.
