The game was never intended to be used in the way you're using it. Everybody playing without mods seems to think it's working fine.
If the amount of downloaded edits would also cause the out of memory issue, I don't know how many that would be since people are playing comfortably with thousands.

People actually start running into issues between 7000-9000 edits. Which is a admittedly a HUGE number, but it's not entirely a mod issue, regardless of your opinion on the matter.
Also, there's lots of problems with the vanilla game without mods. Save corruption, occasional crashing, video resolution errors caused by registry key problems...if you think that mods are the only source of problems, you're either willfully ignorant, or just plain blind...

I mean, that doesn't excuse the fact that the original development team used an inefficient/out-dated method of programming the game; probably due to the fact that they directly lifted a lot of practices used in Returns without considering how it would affect the future development of World.
And for what it's worth, I use a number of mods and haven't had a crash in months (almost a year), so mods don't really factor into that. Not to mention that people have reported crashes when using the ring edit mode in un-modded copies of the game, or when downloading too many edits; the game is poorly optimized and Spike is completely to blame for that. Just try browsing your roster using the vanilla copy of the game and see how slowly every edit preview loads; the optimization issues are everywhere.
As far as games developed in 2017, the performance is mediocre at best.

I've never had a crash, so... 🤷♂️ Same. I've only had the game hard lock while messing around with Proton.

UP-FRONT DISCLAIMER: I am not attempting to jump on either the "blame mods" or "blame SC" bandwagons. I offer my own experience as an indictment of no one.
...
I've only ever experienced crashes when hitting the "refresh edit" button in the move lists mod, or attempting to enter a changed name in the individual move renaming mod. Neither happens all the time, and the move lists issue seems circumventable by refreshing their priorities first.
But I don't mess with ring edit much, and I've never downloaded an edit; I "only" have about 350-ish wrestlers, all of my own creation. I don't run any mods other than the two aforementioned and the move data editor, either. So make of that what you will.

I never said mods were 100% the issue . Hey I downloaded some wrestlers with modded move sets...the author gave a warning you could have issues...i did & i deleted them. I had issues with out mods the game freezing up my whole laptop was the main one where i would have to unplug & remove the battery. I have figured out something where i dont go on the game as soon as i turn on my laptop i wait about 20 minutes before going into the game & after that i haven't been having many freeze ups. Sunday night i had one for the 1st time in a few months.

See? This is why i avoided blaming anything in specific...
But i will stick with View and Carl, since they actually bothered to open the game and see how it looked like.

This doesn't have to be a "mods vs. SC" thing like some people want it to be. The game is out, there are mods, there are also problems with the core game, even if some people don't like to admit it. The initial team was small, not dedicated and made enough mistakes to where they had to be replaced. We all know that, understand it and know that it has nothing to do with Matsumoto and his decisions, etc. The people who have magically sprung up in this community of late to spin some "modders vs Spike" narrative are ridiculous, sad trolls. We had a really decent little community going that didn't have some big "war" before they suddenly showed up.

Yes, i pretty much said " i get crashes but 'im not gonna blame the modsuite" and then i got accused of "being eager to blame spike" , when i wasn't i just wanted to know if you guys are getting the same problems i am having.

You really should look into mods. There are some basic QoL mods that allow creators like you, with hundreds of edits, to easily search for an edit at anytime instead of being forced to navigate multiple screens and scroll through the entire edit list. Also, opening up the length of text box input which allows you to enter full names and still publish to the workshop without issues. Modded vs vanilla is like night and day, and that's just on the QoL improvement side. Regarding crashes, I haven't encountered a crash in months. Not sure what's going on with everyone else, but it's definitely not affecting every player. The problem with mods is they caused crashes for me I downloaded a few modded wrestlers and they caused the game to be slow and crashing. I have a old laptop a old hp pavilion with 465 gb memory which is a lot of memory for the game I still have 399 gb free. Since I deleted the modded wrestlers I don’t have as many freezes or crashes . Still I’m being careful cuz I don’t wanna over do it. I’m hoping after the update finally drops I might look into it. I’m also hoping that since they allowed ring mats and stuff on the workshop they will allow the wrestler mods the ones that have the ring attire mods that would be cool. I could do without the arena mods since Raw and Smackdown are the only ones I’ve seen so far. Now if someone got creative and did WCW NJPW and old school arena mods I might consider it Those arenas have been available for a long time. WCW Nitro arenas including the original and the redesign are available. Lots of old school style arenas for yurakuen hall, including a baseball feild for AWA Superclash.

There's also a redesign of scs so it looks like a late 80's arena instead of a representation of Full Sail.
