And with that, I have another question:
How do you delete one of the 4 costumes/appearances when editing an edit's appearance, so that they just have 3 appearances? I remember doing it once by pressing one key on the keyboard (or it might've been my mouse) but now I can't remember what the key was.

Left-click on the circle under the number (1, 2, 3 or 4). Although it's tricky, since you can only delete from descending order, as in you have to delete appearance #4 before you can delete #3 and #2, that's why I was confused when I couldn't delete any costumes before. (Also you can copy & paste any appearance onto any of the other 3 slots by right-clicking the actual number above the circles. So example, in order to make appearance #3 the edit's only costume, right-click on the 3 and select Copy, then right-click on the 1 and select Paste, then left-click the other three circles, starting with the circle underneath the number 4.) |

Has anyone ever figured out why custom music breaks after updates and DLC, but only for some edits, and maybe a quicker way to fix it besides going through and reselecting themes for every edit?

Same. It does that for me, too, and I've never used it.
Edit: to clarify, in my case, the issue is more that sometimes the game insists on playing maximum crisis instead of the guy's actual music even when it's still assigned. In those cases, it plays it even when previewing the guy's music in the menu. Then sometimes, it's fine.

I've found it to be a problem with the PC version, it does not happen on PS4. It's possible one of the mods is doing that. I've noticed that the entrance music for said edits where this happens is a blank field when I go to edit them. If you try to preview, it automatically plays Maximum Crisis, even if you were to scroll down and try to preview the actual song you want to use. If you set the theme and then try to preview, it plays the correct song. But, it seems like this resets to a blank field upon restarting the game. I don't think it's necessarily Easy Theme doing it, though, but moreso coming from another mod unbeknownst.
Or it could be a PC version bug.

I feel like it might just be a PC-specific bug, because I could swear it happens with no mods patched in as well. But I suppose it could still be a problem created by modding that simply persists afterwards. We'd have to ask someone who's never modded to have a better idea.

I usually skip entrance music and get right to the sim so I haven't noticed if there was a problem 😁
