So I did a great G1 style tournament recently but an issue I had with it was that I could only be one wrestler in it, and I had to watch all of the other matches. Sometimes I do like to watch a match from time to time, but ideally I would like to be able to decide if I want to play a match before it occurs, much like how the WWE games do/did (haven't played them in a while). I'd like to invite friend(s) round and effectively play through all of the tournament matches together as multiple wrestlers, but is this in any way possible?

Makes sense if you can't do it by default, because you'd have a problem when you're matched against yourself.

There's a mod for it on the PC version, from Carl Zilla, I believe. Press R1 to control a corner in an all CPU 1v1 or tag match. It also works in tournaments. Won't work in battle royals, obviously.
What I do is set all wrestlers to be controlled via CPU initially, but DURING each match in the tournament or league (or any CPU controlled match), decide who I want to control.

Yeah I see why, it's a shame that player/CPU select comes before the actual wrestler select. The avatar I think is a prison mugshot, but honestly I don't know, I've used it for years on various boards haha Awesome, so you use R1 to cycle? can it be done with more than one controller? I've yet to try any mods but this may well be the thing that makes me try it out, it sounds like Carlzilla and the mod team have really thought of every shortcoming and oversight. |

If there's a gap that hasn't been filled, it's more likely a design flaw so fundamental (like mirrored parts) that there's no practical way around it, rather than just something they've overlooked. I might run two different versions so I can play the NJPW content, but I definitely can't give up my mods. |

The avatar I think is a prison mugshot, but honestly I don't know, I've used it for years on various boards haha It's not the original shot, it's photoshopped to make the person look like a gorilla. It gives an impression that I don't think you mean to give since you seem like a very nice guy. |
