Senator Steve Phillips: Let me state that it is an honor and a pleasure to be the final opponent for the great Jaeger Flippo. My Office Constituents all saw what he is yet capable of when he fought Salvador Sosa in our home territory, but now it is time for me to journey to the land of Tiger Stripe Pro to close the book on a fabled career. Jaeger's long run has been admirable. He is one of the few men I have seen who could claim to have mastered many styles, to compete and win against anybody, anywhere. He is an honorable warrior, and for that, he has my utmost respect.

Senator: But that does not mean that I will grant him a victory for his departure. As one door closes shut, another one might very well be opening again. It is true that I have been semi-retired as of late. Running the Senatorial Office and my day job have consumed my time and energy with little left for training or competition. But even so, I have found myself in situations where my presence was requested. The Capitalists called upon my services to rally against the Internationale in Wacker Drive Revival, and my side stood tall at the end. And now I have this opportunity to go one more time with one of the best men to lace up a pair of boots in the last decade. I must say, I feel reinvigorated to some degree. Perhaps this will be one major test to see if I should indeed bring myself back into the ring on a regular basis, should this match prove successful.

Senator: But let it not be said that I have lost my focus, or forgotten that the focus will rightfully be upon Mr. Flippo. He may claim that he is diminished. Many might say that his prime was long past and what we see now is a pale shadow of what once was. But I know better. I know that the true greats always have one last fight in them right up to the end. One more time to remind one and all why they were considered great to begin with. I think of Muhammad Ali fighting Earnie Shavers, and enduring a terrible beating against one of the hardest punches of all time to come away with the win. I think of Ric Flair closing out his career against Shawn Michaels, turning back the clock one more time. I look at Tiger Woods winning the Tour Championship this last weekend after many thought he would never win again against today's best.

Senator: And when I think of all these accomplishments, I realize that is what I have to look forward to against Jaeger Flippo when we face off. Yes, he might be up against the newsmaker, headline breaker, office taker, world shaker, the roughest, toughest, most intelligent son of a gun to step inside the squared circle...but I will be standing across from real greatness. And that, my friends, is nothing...but the truth.
