I gave the crowd a 15 minute fight between the national champion and a massive bear. They gave it an 86%. That’z The highest rating they gave all card, alongside the tag team title match.
86 percent for a freaking bear. Nothing made those jerks happy. I blame the game for making them.

You need a showman crowd for shit like that. Try Big Garden Arena or SCS.

Showman helps, as does keeping the match as even as possible.
The crowd will really pop for a match where both wrestlers tire each other to 0 HP and 0 SP at some point. That's pretty much the main route to a 100% regardless of match time.

Not to mention the champ hit his finisher at one point on the bear. It was hardly a squash. Unfortunately the bear pulled his finisher, Hug (get it?) and that was it.

The national champ is very much a showman (he insisted on the bear). But I wanted to make this bear very bear-like. Lots of growling, clubbing, slams and biting. And his finisher was asimple bear hug, which he calls Hug. Really it was the bear’s lack of showmanship that let everyone down!

never underestimate the importance of the ref settings in getting a good match rating. slower movement and/or count rate goes a long way to giving you more 2.9s
