The Blade Universe is a narrative-driven series that is presented in a very cinematic way, like movies. I don't have a set term on what to call it, so I'm just going to call them movies because that's how they are structured and what they are inspired by.
This series is played on the PS4 version of Fire Pro World and is connected to our old Regency Wrestling series on PC. This new series picks up 1 year after Regency Wrestling and WWE were sold to New Japan Pro Wrestling. During this one year gap, the world of professional wrestling has turned into complete chaos due to the new monopoly created by NJPW. All hope is lost and in the Blade Universe, you get to follow pro wrestling as it rebuilds -- if it even can.
We focus on storytelling, but because Fire Pro is so great, we have pretty good matches to go with the stories. Our shows, or now movies (see, I don't know what to refer to them as), is simulation style and I care very deeply about viewer experience which is why I do my very best in keeping immersion at a high level. With the Regency Wrestling series, the immersion was as if you were watching an actual wrestling show - with Blade Universe, the immersion will be as if you are watching a movie. Now, don't confuse it with WWE and with Vince McMahon saying, "we make movies" when really they don't have anything planned past 2 weeks ahead and care very little about their storytelling. We care a lot, and our focus is to make you feel like you're watching a movie ABOUT a wrestling show, rather than a movie that just so happens to involve wrestling (for example, like Lucha Underground).
You'll see wrestlers from the NJPW collaboration roster, maybe the former WWE/Regency Wrestling wrestlers, and most definitely we will introduce "CAWs" into the show (contact me if you are interested in having your created wrestler appear on the series).
At the time of this writing, we are currently working on our first movie. However, we have put out a trailer for the overall series to give you a feeling of what to expect from us. It is at the bottom of this post.
