First you need a copied version of your already installed version. To do this you would simply need to copy your current install to a new location and your save data (including all the mod suite related .dat files) from the default save location to the ./ModSuiteData/ folder inside your newly copied FirePro folder. Next, fire up the patcher and check the Mod Save Data mod in the upcoming version of the ModSuite to load the save data from the ./ModSuiteData/ folder instead of the default save location, which will be reserved for updated data. Then run it from there by clicking the FireProWrestlingWorld.exe file. This method has the unfortunate negative of having to set Steam into offline mode before you launched the game every time, otherwise it could populate your save game with edits that are from the new version and cause lockups or crashes. You can set Steam into offline mode by opening the Steam client and locating the "Go Offline" option in the Steam menu on the top menu bar. Using this method you'll be able to run both the vanilla DLC game, loading it's save from the default save game location, and the mod suite enhanced game loading it's save from "./ModSuiteData/"
This method will also include a way to share edits between modded games, since using the Workshop will no longer be an option. Since, even though I'm upset with Spike about what I feel is and unwarranted and disrespectful display towards the PC user base, I still don't wish them any ill-will or negativity, this version will also contain anti-piracy measures, and anyone using a pirated copy of the game will no longer be able to boot FPW with the mod suite installed. So if you've been pirating and modding, buy it.
FYI: The ModSuite containing the Mod Save Data option has not been released publicly yet, this post is just to inform people of the steps needed to enjoy both versions of the game. It will be public before the official Spike update hits in September.

So if we have to start Steam in Offline mode every time, this means we won't be able to update our other Steam games or play them online, or we risk updating workshop edits and messing up our save? If this is the case, I think I will play modded Fire Pro on my laptop (don't use it for gaming much now), and all my other games on my desktop.
Thank you for everything, Carl, and good luck with your classes (I'm taking a few myself).

If you use the ModSuite Save Data feature, it disables workshop downloads upon game start up...

@carl: So I can set Fire Pro World to not auto update, and I'll be okay in online mode as long as I don't start FPWW and follow your instructions? I'm glad you thought all this out.

That may work...
To be honest, it may still want to update if you start any Steam enabled version while Steam is in online mode.

I mean I would start my other games in online mode, and only start FPWW in offline mode. Just want to make sure we're on the same page. :)

Thank you very much Carl.
Should I demod and custom parts/moves before making the copy or does that matter?

I figured a tool would be created. The main thing is that we don't know yet until the update drops just how much it'll change the game in as much as whether Carl will be able to update the mod suite easily, or if the update will make it more difficult to update the suite, which is why this option is being presented in the first place. Like pretty much all of us, I'm hoping it won't be difficult to update the mod suite to be compatible with the update, but given how mod-heavy my work on Officially Branded(TM) Events is, I'll have to use this option just to be safe.
