So, PS4 launch issues aside, I know there are a number of pro wrestlers with a fondness for Fire Pro. Recently, there were some jabs thrown at Goto by Taichi (and a reply) over a Fire Pro sim where his character won the never weight title.
I thought that was pretty cool, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other instances like this?

Stevie Richards once made an edit of Taz in either 6MS or FPG with the lowest amount of points possible and then proceeded to beat up the Taz edit with an edit of himself while Taz was in the same room watching.
Taz got pissed off over Stevie making his edit so weak and he wanted to fight him over it. Not like in the ring, but in real life.
That's the closest example I can think of.

I love this story so much, and it was 6MS for sure.

I remember way back in the day, RVD did an online interview where he was asked about playing 6MS. He said something along the lines of, "I like to play as myself and beat up on that guy with the baggy green pants who points at the sky. There's something about kicking his ass."
This was when RVD and Sabu were a tag team!

That's the most Taz story I've ever heard. I always loved when I saw wrestlers play the game. I can't remember who it was, but I remember seeing a video back in the day of two wrestlers who played Fire Pro in the ring in lieu of having an actual match (almost certain it was in DDT Pro.)

I actually heard about that Stevie Richards story. He told it on Vince Russo's podcast I think.
I remember Stevie Richards making a long video talking about his love for Fire Pro on his Youtube channel several years ago. I always thought that was kinda cool.
