Sorry if this a dumb question, but frankly I’m happier with the game now (with mods) than the prospect of NJPW and Fire Promoter without the mods that improve the game experience.
Heck I’ve developed a promoter spreadsheet that now tallies monthly records as well as overall (which I can share, once I’m done tweaking). Between that and Carzilla’s MOTW, I’d rather there be no DLL or update (not unless the mods will be able to get fixed promptly, which currently looks unlikely).

You can change your game setting to ask before updating, then never update and play in offline mode.
Also, please share your Promoter spreadsheet. It looks like mod users will need to find an alternative to the Fire Promoter dlc, and now's as good a time as any to get familiar with Motw.

While I like Carl’’s, it’s vulnerable to occasional corrupted saves and data gets lost. The monthly data compiling was inspired by Senator. I think that’s a fun idea to monthly rank wrestlers (I assign points both for win-losses and match ratings, though really someone can choose whatever data is important to them.

Do we know if the UI update is still coming and whether or not it will screw with the nodded game? Just wondering if I need to download and copy all the workshop edits I want before the 28th or before the dlc release in September.

So, if you download the UI update which is required for the dlc to work, your mods will no longer work.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe you’ll need to make local copies of all the Workshop edits. They are already in your save file, the game when online just checks to see if there are any updates to such Edits. If you’re offline the Edit will simply stay as is.

Yes, if you go offline it just skips the download.

I don't see anything like that in the FPW options. Right click on the game title in your game library and select properties. There should be options for setting it to automatically update or not, as well as whether to prioritize the game over any others if a patch drops.

In steam I right click the game, go to properties, go to the update section and see only 3 options;
"Always keep this game up to date
Only update this game when I launch it
High priority - always auto update this game before others." I guess pick the "only update the game when I launch it option and always start in offline mode to avoid any update?

Choose "Only Updates this game when I launch it"

Ok cool. Thanks for that. A UI update would be real cool . The parts and moves from njpw dlc would also be cool, Neither would be cool enough to sacrifice the mods for though.
