I used to sim on 5, because at the higher difficulties on FPR the CPU would tie constantly on the grapples and end up having a test of strength almost every time. Now I sim on 8 because they don't seem to tie as often in FPW.

Nine for both, it's challenging enough to play against without requiring perfect timing and it keeps AI match pace flowing nicely with/without the "No Lock-ups" mod. Also, I like to see the AI utilizing all the games mechanics like a regular player, such as the ability to slide towards the ropes.

Play at 5, because I suck, and if I sim, level 8, so I can see the side to the ropes animation. I still wish Carl would make a mod that allows that animation at lower levels, because I'd get crushed on level 8 if I played that.

10 for simming. I use to go lower, but the slide animation and big moves feel like they get reversed more (cant tell if that's actually the case).

i typically play on level 9. though i may change it depending on the situation. maybe im playing a match i want to ensure i squash the other guy so ill lower difficulty. maybe i want a match that im less likely to win and ill raise difficulty. this is especilaly the case with title matches which seem to be harder and i dont think its my imagination.
i sim on whatever difficulty i left the game on

10 for simming. For playing it's 10 but I drop the level (using difficulty switch mod) when I do back moves or corner attacks.

8's the happy medium for me, they don't glide across the ring like curling stones when going for a rope break, but still go for the rope break.

Does this mean that at 10 the AI doesn't use all the game's mechanics? I'm asking because I enjoy playing at 10, and leave it at 10 to sim for convenience. If there's an actual difference then I might drop a level.

There's no ai logic difference between 9 & 10, it's just input speed/frequency. So what would be the input speed / frequency advantage of simming at 9 rather than 10? I recall someone talking about submissions being broken quicker at higher levels, but I'm trying to understand what the advantage would be to sim at 9 rather than 10. In terms of human gameplay I find 10 to be the best because at a certain point my reflexes become perfectly in sync with properly timing my moves and the game becomes too easy to play.
