Hey all,
I don't have 7 hours to spare to watch SummerSlam. I kind of wish WWE PPVs were a similar length to TakeOver specials. So I'm going to just pick 5 matches to watch and if I get the time I'll watch the others in the week.
But which matches? I've not watched any SDL or Raw in the build up as I've spent all my time watching G1. Here's my starting pick, but if like to see yours:
Owens v Strowman (purely in case it factors into the main event)
Lynch v Charlotte v Carmella (hoping for a Lynch title win here)
Rousey v Bliss (Rousey intrigues me in WWE)
Joe v Styles (potential match of the night)
Reigns v Lesnar (Morbid curiosity)
So, what does everyone else think?

Nakamura vs. Hardy - should be a solid match Bryan vs. Miz - several years in the making Strowman vs. Owens - same reason as you Styles vs. Joe - couldn't imagine any other match being better than this Lesnar vs. Reigns - to have a good laugh, whether it be from the hilarity of Roman losing again or the Brooklyn boos if he wins
Honorable mentions: Rusev & Lana vs. Almas & Vega - I've enjoyed the short build they've had Alexander vs. Gulak - fan of both guys, could easily see this being one of the best matches on the show

If I even watch, it's for Joe and AJ.

If you wanna watch what I think will be the best matches in-ring wise Cedric Alexander vs Drew Gulak Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jeff Hardy Daniel Bryan vs The Miz
Triple threat match for the SD Women's title shouldn't be half bad either, I just think these five matches will be better.

Bryan vs. Miz - several years in the making I totally forgot about that. I saw them on a house show and I'd like to see how much plays into the actual match. I might bump Owens / Strowman for this since the result will be evident if it does play into the universal title match.

I think its confirmed its 6 hours, like anyone can stay invested for more then 3 hours anyway. I have to watch over three nights and NXT Takeover is way higher in my priorities.
This is such a poor Summerslam card, so underwhelming - but I'd go with these five as the ones to watch with a honorary mention for Carmela vs Charlotte/Becky Lynch
Ronda vs Bliss | likely to be one of the stand out matches going into the all women's ppv - they'll put everything into this Daniel Bryan vs Miz | wont disappoint in-ring and will likely build to a Wrestlemania match AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe | again in-ring they absolutely have it, it will be given time because of the length of the show and its a championship match. It will be really good, but the build has been absolutely awful Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens | this will be interesting to watch because whoever wins, they are surely cashing in MITB later in the night Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns | two things can happen to make this watchable - Heyman double swerve, 'screwing' Reigns to screw ultimately Brock and making Reigns champion and a Heyman Guy - or Reigns wins clean but then a MITB cash in

Rusev & Lana vs. Almas & Vega - I've enjoyed the short build they've had I really love both of these teams. Not sure if it will be good.

Unfortunately, you might have to say goodbye to WWE PPVs in general. From my understanding they're going to be four hours minimum even for the B-shows going forward.
