Tomorrow at 5:30 Pacific, the Central bracket's first round will air... here's the match order for that show. Exhibition: Jesse Kane vs. Tommy Day Meow Mask (Indiana) vs. King Cake (Louisiana) Mr. Moonsault (Illinois) vs. Wyndum Holler Jr. (Alabama) C-Drive (Tennessee) vs. Tim Dwight (Iowa) Nick Griner (Michigan) vs. George Marleau (North Dakota) Exhibition: Anniken Caprice vs. Tara Helmsley Allison Avery (Arkansas) vs. Mayday Malone (Wisconsin) Benji Hatfield (West Virginia) vs. Lucien Freeman (Missouri) Jeremiah McCoy (Kentucky) vs. Ulysses Monson (Ohio) Candi Sweet (Minnesota) vs. Kira D'Amon (Mississippi)
A simple enough match order, and two exhibitions of "what could have been" for the East bracket, four eliminated wrestlers from Sunday night's show that deserve another look. The Central bracket's looking promising... but it's very, very hard to tell who's going to come out on top.

A reminder that this happens TONIGHT, essentially almost as soon as I get home. 5:30 Pacific, as scheduled. The Central bracket is sure to impress just as the West and East have, so be ready.

Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/303558825Youtube: youtu.be/Sf3xpZ6fGBsQuick Results Jesse Kane def. Tommy Day King Cake def. Meow Mask Mr. Moonsault def. Wyndum Holler Jr. Tim Dwight def. C-Drive Nick Griner def. George Marleau Tara Helmsley def. Anniken Caprice Allison Avery def. Mayday Malone Lucien Freeman def. Benji Hatfield Jeremiah McCoy def. Ulysses Monson Kira D'Amon def. Candi Sweet Full Results A hard-hitting brawl, perhaps TOO hard-hitting for maybe the hardest-working man in AAW... perhaps his defeat Sunday night and his war with Kerry Texan on Monday were a bit much for the AAW Intercontinental Champion, as Jesse drove him down hard with a corner brainbuster that sealed the deal. Meow Mask just couldn't get anything going here. A rough showing for a fan favorite, and King Cake moves on... This one was just as much of a sprint as the first, but far more even... one big move on either side could have easily put an end to it, but it was Moonsault that put it away in his usual fashion. This one just kept going wild... C-Drive with his suplexes, Dwight with his technical know-how. Amazingly, it was the old trainer that came out on top in the end, Dwight actually putting this one away and advancing to the second round! Things got rough in a hurry... both men trying to just wear the other down through attrition. Marleau seemed to get a bit cocky near the end, though, and Griner would make him pay for it out of the blue... ending the match in a slight anticlimax, but a win is a win for the Michigan representative. Tara clearly wanted to prove she's better than her match with Dawn Hawkins suggested, and she sure did as much here against Anniken Caprice. Despite the New York girl aiming to destroy Tara's arms, she fought through and managed to score a big-time victory, even with her arms starting to droop. When you step into the ring with a World Champion, you bring your A-game. And that's what Allison Avery did. Fighting hard and fast, the Arkansas native took the fight to Mayday, who gave it her all in return... but a Little Rock Bottom, combined with Allison's signature lariats, led her to a major upset. Hatfield fought hard here, but Freeman seemed to just be the stronger, better man tonight. This one became a brawl in a hurry and Freeman seemed more than determined to get through, hitting a big Jackhammer late and scoring a surprising win, given where he hit the move. Benji's friend/partner/rival/what is it today anyway, Jeremiah McCoy, was absolutely relentless. It seemed like every time he had Monson on the ground, it was time to lay in some punches. He'd ultimately wear Ulysses down enough to pick up the win... off of a half crab, but once more, a win is a win, after all. Both women put it all out there, showing no fear of the other and trying to keep the other down. Candi was in full troll-mode, though, and it seemed like Kira was in no mood for her games... A big top-rope hurracanrana would put this one away and sent Kira moving forward. Allison Avery "It doesn't matter who you are. World Champion of any company in the world, same size as me, bigger than me... if you think you're STRONGER than I am... don't matter one bit. There ain't a man or woman alive that's gonna stand up to my lariats. My arm will take down anyone, EVERYONE that gets in my way, and this tournament's gonna be mine for the takin'. Mr. Moonsault... I ain't give a damn how big you are, how quick you are, how good you might be at doin' a moonsault... you got the moonsault, I got the best fuckin' lariat in this tournament, and you're goin' down."

Ulysses Monson First of all, I am completely greatful to have represented the wonderful state of Ohio in this tournament.
Second, I would like to thank Jeremiah McCoy for what was a great challenge. You definitely deserve to go on to the next round. I give you my blessing.
Despite getting my head caved in from all those strikes, I can assure you the decision I'm about to make is clear and in no way affected by the result of this match.
After careful consideration, I have decided to step away from the squared circle. It's just not the thing for me.
I feel with my amateur wrestling expertise that my talents can be better utilized in the octagon.
I will be heading to PRELIATOR in The Galastream to welcome its big return in the future. Until now, I have a lot of training to do.
Thank you all!

Hatfield/McCoy: (Jeremiah McCoy walks into the locker room, and sees Benji Hatfield wiping off his coal facepaint and sweat off his face)
McCoy: Hoooooweeeeee! Hey, Benji! How'd ya do?
Hatfield (Finishes up wiping) Welp, I'm out. That Missorah guy they sent was a big 'un. Hope he beats that King Cake next.
McCoy: That's a shame. Well, I won! I had to show that Monson kid from Ohio where I, uh, WE come from, we win by any means.
Hatfield: Y'do know they said he was in his third match ever.
McCoy: (Raises eyebrows) Really? Hahaha! That Monson kid was real strong! Welp, it don't matter, if you can't stop my Run n' Gun, the ref will! Y'know, those young 'uns win with a crab, an' we're basically young too, so why not, huh?
Hatfield: J, you put your foot on his skull on that half-crab. After so many punches.
McCoy: What'd I say, huh? (chuckles) Win by all means! We all got a future in this anyway! I'm sure Monson would want another go at me when we're all healed up -
(Benji gives a stern look at Jeremiah)
Oh, you on his side now?
Hatfield: J, this ain't no backwoods fed. This is the 49th, our first real test. We gotta get better. You know this.
McCoy: You know me, Benji. (Benji begins mouthing off and mocking Jeremiah as he begins to strut around with his routine; Jeremiah closes his eyes as he starts) Kentucky Golden Gloves champion, two years goin'. These fists, freeflowin'. If anyone can't stop my Run n' Gun, ha-ha, y'might as well call 'em done.
(As Jeremiah opens his eyes, he's met by Benji staring at him again, looking unimpressed)
Hatfield: I'm serious. Look, I ain't a smart man, but we have to clean up our style if we wanna get to that next level.
McCoy: I know Senator's got his eyes on me, and wants to give me a title opportunity the moment we get started up there.
(Jeremiah smirks at Benji)
It's a shame we ain't face each other in the Central Final, so why you worried?
Hatfield: ...I'm outta here. (Benji gets his things packed and heads out of the room)
McCoy: While you're out training, go get your weight up. Y'wanna fight like a heavy, y'might as well be one!

Couldn't make it due to a family emergency, but I did just catch Moonsault and Dwight's matches, and I have to thank Firehawk for providing relevant, accurate commentary and information on them during their matches...which were both a load of fun in their own ways.
Also, Allison vs Mayday was great fun, got a good laugh out of Mayday getting super hyped for a huge running dive only to run into the corner.

Always appreciated, all around. I'm glad people have been enjoying this, it's been absolutely wild and a hell of a time, even when things haven't been 100% amazing.
Fun fact: tonight's show dinged -three- copyright things! First it was Anaba Camacho, then it was Jesse Kane... and now it's Jesse Kane, Tim Dwight and King Cake. Still no issue with the upload, of course, it's still totally fine... except in Belgium and Luxembourg for whatever reason.
Youtube is friggin' weird, man.

Came home from work and felt suuuuper crappy so fell asleep. But woke up and pulled the VOD. That was unexpected, for sure. Will was having some fun singing Miss. Queen.. ----- (go easy on me here, it's been a WHILE) Kira D'Amon:(Kira is sitting at a conference table and semi-nursing a bottle of water. She seems almost dazed.) Press: "Kira, congratulations on your win tonight. How do you feel? Kira: (snapping back to her senses) "Oh, I feel great! I had a strategy for this match and stuck to my guns, and the outcome should speak for itself." Press: "Your opponent--" Kira: "OH! Wasn't she just the sweetest little thing? Those little pigtails, and that cutesy dye job in the front? (A slight crinkling noise is heard from the bottle.) Oh, bless her heart, she was adorable." Press: "Um, yes, your opponent seemed to be caught off-guard by your offense at ringside--" Kira:: "Oh, sorry, bit of a blur after I was knocked out of the ring. Saw the Doc, though, and he said I'm fine!" Press: "So you're saying you dont remember anything?" Kira: (Another crinkling noise from the bottle.) "No, sorry, just instinct, I guess." (She sounds annoyed.) Press: "So you're saying instinct caused you to grab your opponent by the face?" Kira: (A loud crack escapes the bottle.) "Let's talk about next week! The doctor said I'm fine, and my match with Tim Dwight was cleared--" Press: "And that scream.." Kira: "I SAID I'M FINE!" (She re-actively stands and hurls the bottle against a nearby wall.) (The room comes to a dead silence. Kira sheepishly shrinks into herself; a venerable deer in headlights.) Kira: ".... No more questions. I'll see Tim Dwight next week.." (She hurriedly shuffles out of the room and disappears into the hallway.)

Mr. Moonsault Mr. Moonsault: I am not going to say that I'm the favorite to win this tournament. Too many things can happen, too much talent across the board. But after what I did to Wyndum Holler Jr, I think it's going to be tough to say that I'm not one of the favorites. That's not being arrogant, that's just being real. Wyndum was tough. He didn't make it easy on me. But I make things look easy. Just like I do every time I spring off the top rope. Doesn't mean it is easy. It just looks that way. Now I just have to be ready for the next round. Allison Avery, you're tough, too. But are you strong enough to beat me? We'll find out.
"Textbook" Tim Dwight Tim Dwight: To be perfectly honest, I didn't enter this tournament with the expectations of winning it. I just like the competition! So to win a match over a top notch wrestler like C-Drive, I've already exceeded my own projections for this event! Anything else is just a bonus. But don't think that means I'm going to give anything less than my best in the next round. Guess I'm going to have to do some serious research on Kira D'Amon, I know she's dangerous and her matches can get out of hand, but it's always best to do your research. Just glad I have more work to do here!

Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/305226231Youtube Part One: youtu.be/JHtxt5p-jCsYoutube Part Two: youtu.be/M6MEKSVi_MsOutsider Bracket Round One Results A hot opener that set the stage for the night. The two kept a fast pace for the most part, and Candi managed to pick up the surprising win, somewhat softening the blow of her loss to Kira D'Amon. Intense and hard-hitting, they started things off hot for the bracket, Shu managing to put Daniels away with a solid kick out of the corner, sending Hawaii to the second round. A bit of a clash of styles here, but Tuputala seemed to get the upper hand with his strength and agility in the end, overcoming Samhain's more hardcore slant to pull off the win. Exactly what everyone expected. The most Canadian match ever was an outright brawl, ending dead-center of the ring as Newfie George landed Kiss The Cod for the win. Back and forth, a constant push and pull between these two with Vaughan throwing out everything she could, Summers trying to ground her with legwork, but it was one mistake that led to a sharp backslide that stole this one for the Alaskan. This was the showcase both men wanted in their first-round matches. No disappointment here, this one just went hard from the bell and delivered a fantastic matchup. Fast-paced, wild, with Chabot trying to keep Kougar from getting in her big moves... to no avail, a third Katastrophe bomb finishing this one off and sending her to the second round. Maybe the upset of the tournament right here. Kalb showed a tremendous amount of skill here against Sesi, fighting through the powerhouse and pulling off a major victory in representation of Washington D.C. Straight out of the gate, there was no hesitation. These two went at it hard, never letting up until Ciel managed to hit a big bomb in the center of the ring... but this match easily could've swung either direction in a hurry. Well, it's another accolade for Val Morgan to add to his resume, and we're almost certain to get some gloating from the brash man calling himself "G.O.A.T." Blake didn't quite manage to get himself off the ground properly, so he'll re-focus his efforts tomorrow night on finishing out the Great Oni tournament in the hopes of victory there. The East and West bracket second round will kick off on Wednesday, while the Central and Outsider second round will be either on Saturday or Sunday. We'll see what comes up by the weekend. Also, Nikki Knux's theme has been cut from the YT VOD due to a copyright claim blocking it in the US. It may be a bit before it becomes watchable.Currently trying to mute the damn thing and it's not working out so I -may- have to pull the YT version entirely or, potentially, cut the video in two, cut the entrances for that particular match, and upload them separately just so I can have all the matches at least posted there.Yeah, I just split the thing into two parts and cut the entrances from Nikki's match. It's just easier that way rather than relying on YT's thing that wasn't working right. The second video will have Nikki vs. Selene and Blake vs. Val.
