What’s going on ? I see there’s a lot of problems but is it for PS4 or pc and is it as bad as it’s coming across on twitter ?

I assume you’re talking about the PS4 version? The Steam version hasn’t been touched in months. From what I gather there was a bug (the missing faces) that apparently got fixed but that then caused another issue. Hasn’t been the smoothest release which is too bad because they’re counting on the Japanese PS4 sales

There have been a few bugs, all of which are related to the PS4 version: - Okada's face not loading properly (this was patched) - slow performance in appearance edit (this was patched) - Story Mode crashes (this has been patched as well) - FPWNET issues causing corrupted saves - The Takayama-do group cloning itself every time you start the game

I think things'll be fine, more or less, once they patch the game later this week.
Amazon Japan users are being a tad hyperbolic, as per usual. But if these fixes don't actually work, I can see that being the last nail in the coffin post-2018.

On the plus side, the Western release should be fixed up much nicer when it gets here.

On the plus side, the Western release should be fixed up much nicer when it gets here. That's what I was thinking, too. After we were all the test subjects with early access, finally someone else is.

So the Amazon JP reviews are they more like "THIS GAME SUCKS!!" or like "THIS GAME IS A BUGGY PIECE OF CRAP!!"
Or both?

So the Amazon JP reviews are they more like "THIS GAME SUCKS!!" or like "THIS GAME IS A BUGGY PIECE OF CRAP!!" Or both? It's more the latter now. There was a bit of the former too, mostly people going, "It wasn't as good as I remembered it being," or "I don't think it's worth 50 dollars," but the main concern is with the game crashes and the apparent increasing load times due to a save game issue. Also people going, "I'm pretty sure this game is going to brick my system so I'm not touching it."

I'm not really worried. I have yet to buy a PS4 game that hasn't had multiple patches within the first week a release.

basically, but it seems like people are treating it as if the world is ending. It's not as if it's a fundamentally broken game mechanically, it just has bugs that should have been squashed but weren't.
it's not like this is We Happy Few. Or No Man's Sky circa August 2016. Or any other number of genuinely bad or unfinished games... I guess maybe it's a pileup of issues all at once.
