PLEASE DO NOT POST HERE UNTIL I FINISH UP
(Very much a work in progress, this should end up in the end something like my Boxing topic)
Amateur Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, simple additions for grapplers
Fire Pro is versatile enough to mimic many different styles of the combat arts.
-Change the name of the “mount” position to Sprawl/Sprawl Bottom
This is a very simple fix that would improve the terminology to match the most commonly used descriptions of the position in real life. Easy to do, and would clarify positions in the game a bit more for newcomers.
-Add two more slots to Guard Bottom, Light and Medium default to Bash at 0% for all existing wrestlers, AI added for Small and Large damage phases
As it is, guard players like Royce Gracie or Anderson Silva have only one choice to use here, giving them two more would make the pull guard move a more useful tool, and allow for BJJ athletes and amateur wrestlers to have more accurate, dynamic matches.
[Moves to add]
[Standing
[Front Grapple]
-Guard Pull Triangle Choke
Basically, the same animation for the Changing Armbar, but finishing in a triangle choke rather than switching to the armbar. Theoretically, the frames should all be in the game already.
[Back Grapple]
-Front Switch
This would be a very, very useful move. It would allow for
-
[Top Guard]
-Folding Pin
This would be my #1 most wanted basic move addition in the game. Just use the same pin animation as the Face Up at Feet version, spliced into the Jackknife Hold setup. It’d be very much useful for amateur style wrestlers and pro wrestling mat experts
-Texas Cloverleaf
Using most of the same animation as the Face Up at Feet version, this would be good for Dory Funk Jr, Dean Malenko and other good pro wrestling grapplers
[Guard Bottom]
-Omoplata Hold
-Omoplata Sweep (To Top Guard)
More often than not, the Omoplata sets up a sweep as the opponent rolls through. This would use some of the frames from the submission and be a useful alternate position change from guard
[Top Sprawl]
-Onryo Clutch
Same move as the Face Up at Feet, but spliced from the sprawl animation.
-Quarter Nelson Pin
[Sprawl Bottom]
[Back Mount]
[Bottom Back Mount]
-Shrimp Out (To Bottom Guard)
A basic move for any Jiu-Jitsu fighter, and one that could make for more dynamic matches on the ground.
-Force Standing (To Back Grapple Defense)
