A message from Biff Taylor Biff Taylor: Hey there, Evergreen dudes and dudettes! It's your friendly PEWA President here, the Biffmeister himself, just calling in to congratulate Mercy and the gang! You babes crushed Royce's nuts, and smashed him into strawberry jam! And for that, I toast you, and raise my glass in your honor! Lookin' forward to all the havoc you're wreakin' out there!
The Bingo Hall Mutants, Mina and P-Dogg As we look out onto the parking lot of the venue, the PEWA contingent is seen gathered around a set of cheap tables and a rusty old barbecue grill. Skullface Killah is standing at the grill, a batch of seasoning and flavor rubs arrayed around him. Rampage Rage can be seen double fisting several beer bottles and mimicking Stone Cold Steve Austin's trademark drinking technique, while P-Dogg cheers him on. Mina Fitsharris, for her part, is standing by as casually as can be, a bottle of Mexican Coke in hand.
P-Dogg: Yeah do it, throw them down!
Rampage Rage: We're the baddest in all the land! Phillllllyyyyyyyyyy!
P-Dogg: Champs! Champs! Champs! Champs! Come on, Mina, grab a real drink and join in!
Mina Fitsharris: I'm driving us to the airport. I'm not drinking.
P-Dogg: Aww come on, get an Uber!
Mina: We already have the rental car, here.
Skullface: She ain't wrong!
P-Dogg: Oh well, keep chugging, champ!
Rampage: Don't need to tell me twice! How many's this?
P-Dogg: I dunno, lost track after...uh...
Skullface: Hey, got more ribs, get some!
Mina: I have to watch my figure...pff, who am I kidding? Skullface Special Ribs, I'm throwing down a few of those.
P-Dogg: Seriously, dude can grill his ass off. Just like the Bingos grilled the ass of those girls to WIN THE TITLES!
Skullface: Yeah!
P-Dogg: Just like we all kicked ass!
Mina: Besides you, geezer.
P-Dogg: Hush, lady!
Rampage: Two more! LET'S DO THIIIIIIS?
Mina: Ribs are good.

A Messsage from JJB: "We at AAW do not condone what was done to Kevin Royce nor do we endorse it. Blackrose and Mercy Devine has committed a miscarriage of justice by screwing over a deathmatch legend. We at AAW wish to extend our helping to Mr.Royce and you can ensure there will be consequences for this action. Both Evergreen and Blackrose will have to answer for this atrocity. If not this will be grounds for an invasion and i can ensure you both of your feds will pay. Innocent or guilty all parties will the wrath of vengeance until Kevin Royce is restored as owner. PEWA if you want to endorse this buffonery, i will have no choice but to disembowel your entire roster as well. Take that as a notice

Mercy Devine speaks: "Big surprise... another 'legend' past his prime is running his mouth at me again. It's the same story as always, the same thing I've been hearing from day one: 'don't overshadow me', 'stay in the back', 'you're not ready for that stage yet, kid'. You wanna call it a 'miscarriage of justice', I'm gonna call it the exact opposite. Kevin Royce has been running Evergreen into the fucking ground for years now, just nobody ever notices on the outside...
I've spent my entire wrestling career being disrespected. By Kevin Royce. By Veronika Armstrong. And now by Josh Fucking Belmonte. You wanna talk to me about 'justice'? You wanna talk about Kevin like he's still some kind of deserving fucking legend? He came straight out of the gate the moment Evergreen signed the deal with Phoenix Rising to run their venue, to stream our shows, and instantly it was like he became some kind of fucking hardcore god. Only Evergreen mattered. Fuck AAW, fuck PEWA, and ESPECIALLY fuck Blackrose... that was Kevin in a nutshell, because he was the best in the world at this sorta thing, and to hell with anyone and everyone that wanted to be competition.
Blackrose was a chance to finally do my thing away from his fucking influence for once. They deserve more respect than he ever gave them... not that he ever did to begin with. He didn't even dare to schedule one of OUR people against a Blackrose wrestler until the tag tournament, and then he proceeded to wipe out Babe Ruthless, who's as much one of ours as she is Blackrose! And you wanna blame me for stabbing him in the back? Fuck you, Belmonte, Kevin Royce got everything he deserved and more, and he should count himself lucky that Lash didn't break his fucking neck like she did to Laenara Kintelas!"
By this point, Mercy's panting slightly, having been yelling much of the last part of her tirade... when she speaks again, it's in a much lower, softer tone... and not in English.
<If you want a war... you'll get a war... but you've heard my side of this... so decide soon, before I decide to put an end to your disrespect personally.>
Mercy storms off camera, the last few words in Japanese lingering...
"... I didn't know she spoke Japanese..." It's not clear who's behind the camera, but they sound... quite bewildered by the revelation. Yep, there's a reason Mercy's fully bilingual, and I'm sure that'll begin to come to light very soon as this develops...

With only a few days left until Monday, it's about time we got Showdown's card posted, huh. Pre-Show: Sophia Moretti vs. Rachel White Pre-Show: Tommy Thunder vs. Haruka Matsura Pre-Show: Winifred Wright vs. Natasha Clover
Pre-Show: Nic Nitro vs. Yuki Maeda Urani Whitemist vs. Kantar Xiu Mei Li vs. Alexandria Kirison Lance and Cassandra Marshall vs. Pure Gold Mascara Avispa vs. Rilantha De Nav Anahera vs. Fenix Oscuro Shiana Sentarl, Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Les Beautes Blondes The Black Dragon vs. Tasharun Firehawk Sentarl vs. Kileas KintelasSophia Moretti seeks to get herself back on track this week as she takes on Rachel White, who's also seen her fair share of struggles lately. It's likely to be a hot opener, with the Italian looking to finally push past this mental block she seems to have.
Haruka Matsura had been preparing to face Laenara Kintelas this week for this match... but Laenara's frightening injury Thursday night on Evergreen has dashed that match. Tommy Thunder will be stepping in as the replacement, looking to get a proper win for Adrenaline Rush.
Natasha Clover steps into the ring against perhaps one of the toughest women in all of Phoenix Rising... and one-half of the current tag team champions, no less. Winifred Wright will be a tall order for the Devil Hand, but after seeing Todd Colton go down in flames against Victor Kintelas last week, Natasha will surely be after a big win to keep her momentum high.
A match that exists because I totally forgot to book Yuki because I'm a moron to ensure that both members of Adrenaline Rush have a spot on the card! Yuki Maeda is sure to be a tough opponent, though, and Nic Nitro will need to stay sharp for this one as the pre-show closes out.
Kantar, fresh off a win over PEWA's P-Dogg Thursday night, has a much, much tougher fight ahead of him on Monday: a former World Champion in Urani Whitemist. This one's likely to get ugly in a hurry... as Urani continues to make her case towards regaining the World Championship, no matter who she has to go through.
Two of the most dangerous strikers in Phoenix Rising clash, as Xiu Mei Li and Alexandria Kirison face each other for the first time since Xiu claimed the Women's Championship from Alex. The last time these two met, Xiu nearly injured Alex with her signature STF... will Alex return the favor?
Pure Gold was conspicuously absent from last week's Proving Ground... and for good reason. They'll be making their proper Showdown debut... while they had a Champion vs. Champion match months ago, this is no one-off, the former Proving Ground tag champs have been fully promoted and are set to take on Lance and Cassandra Marshall. This is sure to invite even more illuminating conversations and will certainly cause no trouble in the stream chat on Monday. Nope. Not at all.
Mascara Avispa hasn't popped up terribly often as of late, but he's got a match this week... and what a match it could be, as he'll be taking on Rilantha De Nav, in a match that could very easily steal the show. Avispa could very easily make a case for a championship opportunity soon enough... but what title would he be interested in?
Fenix Oscuro is back in full force, and she's not going after easy fare this week: she'll be taking on the Maori warrior, Anahera, in what could easily be the single toughest match of the villainous luchadora's career. If Oscuro can rise to the occasion, though, she could easily put herself in the running for the first challenger to the Pacific Northwest Championship... which has, essentially, already become official.
For some time now, we've been wondering just who would fill in for Kaelara's place, as the young Sentarl has already faced two grueling matches in the past week... and now, we have our answer. Eri Sentarl has apparently found just the woman for the job... and it's none other than Queen Anne, Listalva Anne Heyward making her Showdown debut to help take on Les Beautes Blondes.
We haven't seen this match in a while... but these two almost always deliver. The Dragon and the Demon, once again clashing, with Tasharun looking to be the one that can finally stop the Black Dragon in her tracks... but can he really pull it off, considering their history?
You're not seeing things: the World Champion isn't in the main event this time around, as the age-old feud between Firehawk and Kileas erupts once again in the wake of the tag team championships changing hands. Still, it's a bit odd that now, of all times, this feud would start to heat up again... do these old rivals have something in mind for this match? Is it really all it seems?

JJB: "I heard your answer and I have officially declared war on Blackrose and Evergreen. PEWA stay the fuck in your lane, remember when you tried to fuck with us last time. And i dont give a shit what languages you speak Mercy the sounds of your roster screaming from agony is universal"

I do want to make one thing clear that despite this being April 1, despite the jokes flying around the community on this day (And there have been some good ones, no doubt!) that tonight's show will be going on as normal, the matches will all happen as they're scheduled... Although I regret to inform you that yes, they'll all still be in FPW, so there won't be any "Haha it's No Mercy/FPR/2K" incident.
By the time I figured that might've been an option it would've taken waaaaaay too much to pull it off, I feel, and I don't think I would've been satisfied with it anyway.
Anyway, Showdown tonight, normal show, everything's fine.
Seriously.

Ha. Hahaha. Heh. OK. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/404914891Youtube: youtu.be/DQxE6ERnqesQuick Results Sophia Moretti def. Rachel White Haruka Matsura def. Tommy Thunder Natasha Clover def. Winifred Wright Yuki Maeda def. Nic Nitro Urani Whitemist def. Kantar Xiu Mei Li def. Alexandria Kirison The Marshalls def. Pure Gold Mascara Avispa def. Rilantha De Nav Anahera def. Fenix Oscuro Shiana/Eri/Listalva def. Les Beautes Blondes The Black Dragon def. Tasharun Kileas Kintelas and Kaede Takeda def. Firehawk Sentarl and Andrea "Fire" Hawke Write-ups Sophia Moretti finally picks up a solid victory here, outplaying Rachel in the fashion she's always been meant to do... finishing off an impressive match with her signature sleeper, and putting Rachel down and out. Adrenaline Rush continues to struggle on Showdown... as Haruka Matsura seemed to have this match well in hand from the bell. The ninja was in rare form tonight, and as Showdown moves towards a fully mixed roster, Haruka could be an early candidate to challenge for the Pacific Northwest Championship. This is the single biggest win of Natasha Clover's career. Stepping into the ring with one-half of the Tag Team Champions, she showed absolutely no fear... and indeed, almost dominated the match! A thunderous standing spear gave Natasha a shocking victory, and she could be seen leaping into Todd Colton's arms after her win, all smiles. More trouble for Adrenaline Rush, as Nic Nitro ran headlong into the veteran, Yuki Maeda. Two crushing back-piledrivers would spell the end of this one, and Yuki picks up another victory in violent fashion, clearly prepared to take the fight to her old rivals once again. Once again, Kantar shows that he's more than capable of hanging with some of the best in the world... but this time, he was not quite up to the task of taking down the Titan. Urani, sporting her old familiar black gear to show support to her injured girlfriend, did not show Kantar much in the way of mercy here... and she'd nearly crush the demon with a bearhug, picking up another much-needed win, and allowing her to return to Laenara in triumph. New year, same result: Xiu Mei Li once again forces Alexandria Kirison to tap out to the STF, though this time she appears to have not caused any sort of injury, minor or otherwise. Still, Xiu remains one of the more dominant members of the Showdown roster... could she be setting her sights on something big? Pure Gold's Showdown debut (match against Firehawk and Ril aside) may not have ended the way they'd hoped, but this was a match more than up to their usual standard. Still, the big story here was Cassandra Marshall, who showed off truly impressive strength against both Pure Gold members, and would ultimately force Kanjirin to tap out to the Rodeo Stretch, a shocking upset without a doubt. Despite a minor production mishap, Mascara Avispa was in rare form tonight, stepping into the ring against a true veteran, and coming out the other side with a thoroughly impressive performance all around. A big win for Avispa, and perhaps a new beginning on the main show. Oscuro's toughest opponent to date, even including Eri... and she clearly was flustered by the challenge, making too many mistakes en route to Anahera making a complete fool of her. Utter dominance by the Maori Warrior. Listalva was... less of a factor than expected in this match. But Eri Sentarl more than made up for any issues on her team. She was 100% the MVP of the match, and in a display of strength that we haven't seen from her but once, she took Angel off her feet, then delivered a crushing Superkick to seal the deal, and once again sending Les Beautes Blondes home seething in defeat. The World Champion continues to be an absolutely monstrous opponent. While Tasharun did his best to try and keep her down, the Black Dragon would not be denied... and she completely wiped out the Demon in the end, crushing him with a bearhug and remaining a seemingly unstoppable champion. Well, here's the April Fools joke for the year. Yeah, it was Firehawk versus Kileas, but not in the way you might have expected! Kaede and Andrea joined the fray and made this a wild tag match, one that showcased a little bit from everyone... and introduced the counterparts to each other, as well. Kaede learned that a Phoenix Dive from Firehawk is quite a bit more than one from Andrea... but that isn't to say that Andrea was a slacker, landing a huge bomb out of the corner on Kileas! But Team Kintelas would have the last laugh here, as Kileas landed a Tigerdriver on Andrea, and picked up the win. Firehawk Sentarl "Right, so... both Andrea and I figured this was a match that we were never gonna do, but April 1? It was too tempting to pass up, honestly." Firehawk shrugs, seemingly in high spirits despite the loss. "It's kind of a blast seeing it from the outside, even though there's a lot of differences between the two of us."
"Starts to make a lot of sense why you two keep goin' at it." Andrea chimes in, rolling a shoulder with a small wince. "You guys are just as heated out there as me and Kaede. Hell of a rivalry. I guess it's just something that crosses reality... one of us, one of him... y'know. But I'll warn you now, big guy, I'm gonna be looking to pay that Tigerdriver back one of these days. Even if I gotta rely on this guy-" she nudges Firehawk at this, "-to get it done. This might be the last time I show up in Phoenix Rising, 'cause I'm not really interested in sticking around here... but at least we got to give everyone a taste of something different." The Black Dragon "Time and time again, I remind everyone, week after week... you can't stop me. You can't even slow me down. You wanna take this, or the Blackrose title from me? You're gonna have to be at your absolute best. And I'm not stopping with just these two titles. I want MORE. I want every single bit of gold I can get my hands on... every opportunity I can GET, I will TAKE. So if you think you're confident enough in your champion's ability... I'll come right in and show you exactly just how wrong you are. Because I will prove, beyond the shadow of a doubt... I am the greatest World Champion, IN the world... no exceptions."

Big show for Proving Ground coming up this next Monday: The Inspire Championship will be headlining this week, with Layla Al-Amin defending against Allison Avery, given what happened in their last meeting. And also... Pre-Show: Felice Santana vs. La Relampaga
Pre-Show: Todd Colton vs. Vincent Sheridan
Pre-Show: Titania vs. Fresh Suzuki
Kyle Anderson vs. Argent
Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Nicole Blade
Pajaro de Fuego vs. Elly Blackwood
Candace Monroe vs. Donna Nobel
Gary Gear vs. Silver Hawk
SATOMI vs. Rin Ryusaki
Avery Adonis Alexander vs. Victor Kintelas
Allison Avery vs. Layla Al-Amin for the Inspire ChampionshipLook at them debuts. First off, La Relampaga, who you may peg as a luchadora straight away: named for lightning, of course (Spanish grammar be damned... look, if it works, it works). She'll be making her first appearance against Felice Santana, and the two are certain to put on a wild, high-flying show to kick things off.
Todd Colton steps onto the pre-show once again, following a disappointing loss to Victor Kintelas last week... but against Vincent Sheridan, the only man in Phoenix Rising who might have a bigger mouth than Todd, he's sure to step up and remind the Evergreen star that Proving Ground is still his territory.
Maybe it was nervousness from it being her debut last week, but Titania has sworn that this week will be different... and her sights are set on Fresh Suzuki. This could go very badly, very quickly, and if Titania backs up her words... Fresh could be in for a rough night.
Kyle Anderson is still looking to find that foothold on Proving Ground, and against Argent this week, he'll be searching for a much-needed victory after losses to both Kevin Royce and ALEXANDER last week. Argent, though, is nothing short of a frightening powerhouse on his best night...
Anari, now on her own once again, has her sights set on a fellow powerhouse in Nicole Blade this week. A rare singles sighting for Nicole, since the formation of the Excellent Blades, and it's going to be a tough one: Anari has more than proven to be a very, very dangerous opponent.
Elly Blackwood has been on the warpath again, lately. After the loss to Pure Gold, she's charged through her Team Proving Ground partners and now has her eyes on the Avian Assassins, starting with Pajaro de Fuego. But the Lucha Phoenix has been quite the sensation in his time on Proving Ground, and he's not likely to back down from this one...
Candace Monroe will be flying solo this week: Ruthless Nicole Alger appears to have the night off after her shocking post-match shot on Nicole Blade, and the future of the Limbtakers is in question. But for now, Candace will do her best to handle the dangerous Donna Nobel, aiming to stay one step ahead of the Blades.
Gary Gear gets his shot at the other half of the Avian Assassins, after losing to Pajaro de Fuego last week. Silver Hawk has seen some rough patches on Proving Ground as of late, and it seems likely that they may continue here... but Gear is unpredictable, and there's no telling what may happen.
The second debut of the night features SATOMI, from Fukuoka, Japan. She'll be taking on Rin Ryusaki, a battle of Japanese stars that is nonetheless a clash of styles: Rin is a high-flying, relentless type, while SATOMI is known in her native land as a vicious striker in addition to having a few chokeholds in her arsenal. One thing's for sure, this is certain to be a high-profile debut.
Avery Adonis Alexander has been talking for weeks now about wanting to face the best that Proving Ground has to offer... and now, finally, he has his chance, as he'll be taking on the Top Prospect, Victor Kintelas himself. A win here could set AAA up for the biggest chance of his life... but it's not going to be easy, considering how unbeatable Victor's looked recently.
Allison Avery nearly destroyed Layla Al-Amin in their last meeting... and now, the Inspire Championship is on the line, and everything's at stake. Allison has cut a very sudden path of destruction towards the top... but can the Cairo Cyclone bounce back and show the queen of the lariat how it's done?

As of right now, I'm not sure if the show will go on tonight as normal. This cough has gotten worse over the last 24 hours and I'm in a pretty rough state right now, but if I can ride it out, then I'll run the show tonight. Otherwise, it's probably gonna wait until I'm feeling a little less like I want to just crawl back into bed and let the thing blow over. This entire week has sucked for that, seriously. I'll try to update everyone once it's a little bit closer to showtime.

Felice Felice Santana: Felice Santana is my name, and lightning fast luchador action is my game! La Relampaga is making her debut, but she is not making her debut at my expense! I'm gonna take care of business and then maybe I set my sights on the Inspire Championship! Just know this, all it takes is one Santana Sky and you're gonna hear one-two-three!
Felice tries her best to stare down the camera lens, but starts giggling for a moment.
Felice: Hey gramps, how's that for a "serious promo?" Those Blackwood ladies really did help out, I mean, they told me to slow down, use my notes, and actually, like, you know, have a point when you talk, I mean, really, I think that all made a lot of, like, sense, but what's the fun in all that, I...wait, am I still being recorded?
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: We're in the big time, THE BIG TIME!
Adonis Avery Alexander: Everyone thinks we're here to lose tonight. That even those as incredibly muscled as we are can be seen as the underdogs.
Gear: BUT WE'RE READY TO CRUSH!
AAA: We're ready to take on the best.
Gear: WE'RE READY TO MAKE EVERYONE FEAR GARY GEAR, YEAH!
AAA: We're here to dominate. We're not accepting second place. We're not accepting a lower tier. The Muscle Machines have sat back and watched things happen long enough, but now it's time we step up and we show every single person out there that size does matter, that the pinnacle of human development cannot be denied, that no matter whether we're genetically natural or chemically assisted, we're the best of the pack, the top of the heap, the kings of the hill! So Victor, go cry in Kellaron's arms after I beat you down. Silver Hawk, go visit the hospital after Gary smashes you through the mat.
Gear: YEAH! SMASH!
AAA: And Proving Ground, there's nothing you can do to deny the Machines, nothing at all.
Ruthless Nicole Alger(and Dangerous Nicholas Alger) As we look in on the Ruthless One and her father, the Dangerous One, the first thing to be noticed is RNA's new and improved look. Secondly, the two can be seen standing outside a non-descript building in a rough neighborhood of Washington D.C. The elder Alger knocks on the door, and the two are met in the doorway by a light haired So-Cal grappler wearing a Brazilian themed rashguard, a man familiar to UCSS fans, Jamie Tomasi.
Jamie Tomasi: Hey dudes, Thiago's not taking any visitors, he's busy training the kids class.
Dangerous Nicholas Alger: Bull! Tell the Grandmaster in there that the Dangerous One is here and has something to say.
Jamie: Nah, he told me he wasn't interested in talking to you right now.
DNA: Come on, we all know this is stupid. Just tell him I want two minutes of his time, two freakin' minutes!
Jamie: Nope, not happening.
Ruthless Nicole Alger: Forget this, I'm going to ask him myself.
Jamie: I'm supposed to, uh, tell you not to do this, but really...go for it!
RNA: Hey, Thiago, Thiago Gracie, you in here?
As Ruthless Nicole enters the Thiago Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu building, it only takes a few turns past the lobby to find a rather morose looking Gracie sitting down in the middle of a mat, while several younger students work basic sweeps out of guard.
RNA: There you are. Thiago.
Thiago Gracie: You no suppose to be here. Go away.
RNA: No, you listen to me. Me and my dad drove over here. We're not leaving. Not without you hearing me.
Thiago: What you want?
RNA: I want you to help me. I have problems. Problems not losing total control in fights.
Thiago: Take pills, don't ask Thiago for help problem in your head.
RNA: Get over yourself. I don't come here for nothing. You were the best. You lose one match. One time. You let Gang Wong take your career? I made a big mistake. But at least I'm not so weak that I give up and stop fighting! At least I didn't let someone take my career from me! At least nobody left me this pathetic for weeks after I screwed up!
Thiago: Screw you, shut up, why you have problem for Thiago?
RNA: And enough with that talk. We both know you speak better.
Thiago: I live gimmick, ok, no bother Thiago for this.
RNA: Fair enough, so, you helping? I just need a few weeks of work.
Thiago: Why ask me, you have father, he no help?
RNA: He's...not the person who can help with this. He's...that's...sorta his problem too. We both get angry, lose control, have problems. You know, he's your friend.
Thiago: He always have problem winning big match.
RNA: Look, I just need to be able to flip the switch. To be Ruthless and then to not be Ruthless. To use it to win, and then not go crazy. Can you help with that?
Thiago: I can try.
RNA: And then maybe you get back to being the Grandmaster of the Armbar. The man who helped inspire me. And who my dad says is the best pure grappler he ever knew.
Thiago: I...can try.

Well, the show went on as normal, and I'm actually not feeling nearly as bad as I was when I got up. Slept in quite a bit because I couldn't sleep a bit last night, so I wasn't awake properly until the afternoon. ANYWAY, not the point, a show happened Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/408370336Youtube: Quick Results La Relampaga def. Felice Santana Todd Colton def. Vincent Sheridan Titania def. Fresh Suzuki Kyle Anderson def. Argent Anari Lynn Heyward def. Nicole Blade Elly Blackwood def. Pajaro de Fuego Candace Monroe def. Donna Nobel Silver Hawk def. Gary Gear Rin Ryusaki def. SATOMI Victor Kintelas def. Avery Adonis Alexander Layla Al-Amin def. Allison Avery to retain the Inspire Championship Write-ups As good a debut as anyone could hope for in the land where debuting wrestlers go to die. La Relampaga scored a rare victory in her debut here, in a high-octane opener that showcased both luchadoras brilliantly. Felice looked great here, even as she took the loss. A clash of egos, no doubt... and Todd imposed his will on this one, focusing his attention mostly on damaging Vincent's arms, before coming back with a huge Canadian Destroyer to finish off the victory. Very, very impressive as Todd's stock continues to rise, despite his failure to capture the Top Prospect Championship. Fresh Suzuki gave the newcomer fits here, trying to stay one step ahead of Titania the whole way... but eventually, the powerhouse caught up, and leveled Fresh with a huge Axe Bomber, picking up her first Proving Ground win... perhaps the first of many. This was the sort of match Kyle needed to get back on track, giving Argent his full range of offense before landing the new Baltimore Bomb for a crushing victory. The Baltimore Savage could finally be preparing to turn the corner... Two of the toughest women on Proving Ground clashed here, power against power, and it was Anari that would ultimately come out ahead. The two traded huge moves, but Anari's powerbomb proved the stronger tonight, finishing this match off with a bang. Elly Blackwood was on the warpath tonight. Pajaro de Fuego did what he could but never really got anything rolling as Elly tore him apart, culminating in a Tigerdriver that put this one away, and once again made Elly look like the Invincible monster she's known for being. A tough, technical contest for a lot of this match: Candace's striking ability and legwork against Donna's dangerous suplexes and arm submissions. This turned wild down the home stretch as both women started to break out the big moves, but it was Candace's old standby knee lock that'd get her the win after a bit of a struggle. Silver Hawk continues to bounce back from his recent struggles, and despite getting tossed around a fair bit by Gear, it was his skill and technical ability that won the day as he countered Gear into a flash roll-up, and scored a much-needed victory. Remember what was said about debuts here in Phoenix Rising... SATOMI fell victim to the very same. Rin Ryusaki kept up a blistering pace throughout this match, and although SATOMI kept up with her through to the end, Rin was able to take the win here. AAA might have proved something tonight: he did keep pace with the champion. But Victor Kintelas is not a man to be taken lightly... and he showed that much tonight. For some time it seemed he was determined to force AAA to quit, but when that proved an avenue that wasn't working out, he seized the first opportunity he got... and landed that now-infamous Cutter once again, and picked up yet another win out of the blue. Can anything stop Victor now? Layla Al-Amin clearly learned from her last encounter with Allison Avery, and never let her get rolling with her deadly lariats... a good thing, certainly, for the Cairo Cyclone, who would eventually outpace her redheaded opponent entirely, and once again, stepping up with her title on the line to defend it and remain Inspire Champion. Very, very impressive. Victor Kintelas "It doesn't matter who you are. Doesn't matter when or where, you step up against the best that Proving Ground's got, you have to be prepared for anything. You drop your guard... and anything could happen. The King Cobra could choke you out. The Kintelas Driver could lay you on the ground... Patricide could break you in two.
But I only need a second-long opening to snap that cutter out and bring any match, anytime, anywhere, to a quick, brutal ending. I don't care who you are. I don't care how dominant you think you've been. Your head meets that mat... and you drop just like so many others." Evergreen taking place this Thursday, as scheduled (second and last thursdays of the month, yup.) In addition, the Academy's monthly house show will be posted on Saturday. Here's the card for Evergreen this week. Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura vs. eMo (Sookie and Penelope)
Mercy Devine vs. Vincent Sheridan
Eternamente Verde vs. Eddy Introspect
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. Babe Ruthless and Lash
Veronika Armstrong vs. Ash Defiant
Skullface Killah vs. Kantar
Main Event: Julian Shepard vs. El EvergringoMercy Devine "Finally, coming back home, where I belong... after a wild week, after a declaration of war, after showing the world that you are not gonna push me around and tell me what I can and can't do. This place belongs to me now, and no matter what the hell you think, you're gonna learn real fast that I take this as seriously as anyone ever could. Why the fuck do you think I wanted it this way? Because Kevin couldn't fucking do it anymore. I'm the voice, the guiding force that Evergreen needs now. I'm the one that's gonna carry us into the future. Not some washed-up old bastard that missed his prime fifteen years ago.
Keep your eyes on us. Evergreen's about to reach a new level. And I'm not looking back."

Evergreen tonight, 7PM as usual. Probably gonna be a pretty short show: in addition to this being Evergreen, I'll also be running tonight's show in the Yurakuen venue rather than SCS, so entrances won't be a thing. Yes, they fixed the entrances fairly quick, but it's sort of a "returning to Evergreen's roots" show in its first night under Mercy Devine, before she carries it into its future.

Evergreen's always such a fun stream to run. I still don't feel like doing it more than every two weeks (at most) but it's certainly a fun project, that's for sure. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/409764177Youtube: youtu.be/7vDhoVsdHxAQuick Results Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura def. eMo (Strawberry Sookie and Penelope Lea) Vincent Sheridan def. Mercy Devine Eternamente Verde def. Eddy Introspect Babe Ruthless and Lash def. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito Ash Defiant def. Veronika Armstrong Kantar def. Skullface Killah Julian Shepard def. El Evergringo Write-ups A wild opener that saw the Phoenix Rising guests slowly but surely begin to figure out how to work together... culminating with Haruka brawling with Penelope on the outside, while Oscuro planted Sookie with a Shining Wizard in the ring to take the victory for her team. Maybe it was a case of just running herself ragged, but Mercy never got any sort of foothold in this match, and crumpled under Vincent's offense, seeming unable to get back up for a while post-match after taking the vicious knee. Mercy eventually did walk out under her own power, but perhaps she's been traveling a bit much over the past two weeks. This seemed like Verde out to make a point... she was utterly relentless, not hesitating for a second as she put Eddy through his paces, and eventually a wild Reincarnation just inches from a steel chair would pick up the win for the psychotic luchadora, perhaps setting her on a path towards the top. Lash looked like she was out to break Sayaka Saito's neck tonight... and nearly did so on two occasions, in the same situation that put Laenara Kintelas on the shelf. Sayaka managed to survive that, but didn't escape a late Boston Crab... whether this was intentional or not, it got Lash and Babe the win. Veronika seems to be in a bit of a slump at this point. Having lost to Julian Shepard one-on-one and then losing her title to him, she went into this match hoping to bounce back... only to get a rude awakening from Ash Defiant, who didn't roll over for her even after taking two Mercykillers on the outside. A Defiant Bomb laid the former champion out, and the lucky grey shirt carried Ash to another big win. While Evergreen has a working relationship with PEWA (and quite the cordial one, for the most part), Kantar doesn't seem to hold any such loyalty... he's cut a path of destruction through every PEWA star to come his way, and put another major feather in his cap this week by wiping out one-half of the Evergreen Tag Team Champions in Skullface Killah after a brutal match. His infamous Triple Powerbomb would win out... but now, who will step forward from Philly to challenge the crazed demon next? Evergringo gave this one his all... he looked like he could hang with the new Evergreen Champion, and very nearly won this one a handful of times. But Julian didn't get to be champion by being a pushover, and finally turned the tables, taking out Evergringo in convincing fashion, and setting one thing straight: the next champion will have to be tough indeed to take the championship from Julian.

Time to finally get the Showdown card up for Monday. Pre-Show: The Phantom Thief vs. Mascara Avispa
Pre-Show: Besos vs. Rachel White
Pre-Show: Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura vs. Adrenaline Rush
Shiana Sentarl vs. Yuki Maeda
Blake Dynamite vs. Cassandra Marshall
Pure Gold vs. Listalva Anne Heyward and Eri Sentarl
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Lance Marshall
Rilantha De Nav vs. Urani Whitemist
Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright vs. The Rising Storm
The Black Dragon vs. Binak Tonorian
Main Event: Natasha Clover vs. Kaelara Sentarl for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipThe night opens up with two familiar faces: The Phantom Thief tries to get back on track against the incredible Mascara Avispa, in a match that's almost assured to be a quick one. If nothing else, there probably won't be any downtime here. It's Besos stepping into the ring against a slumping Rachel White this week. Rachel's dropped matches to both Fenix Oscuro and Sophia Moretti in recent weeks, and no doubt she'll be trying to bounce back against Besos... but she could very easily fall victim to the same move that so many others have before. Surprise... the team that held a guest spot on this week's Evergreen doesn't appear to be a one-off, as Haruka's found herself another tag team partner. The fledgling team appears primed to take on Adrenaline Rush, fresh off of taking down the eMo duo of Sookie and Penelope, but can Haruka really be trusted, given her history? It's a match that's been waiting in the wings since Yuki Maeda arrived... she'll finally get her shot at Shiana Sentarl. The two have a long history with each other, and Shiana's mentioned that Yuki has always been one of her toughest opponents... but Shiana is a much different woman than she was the last time these two met. Cassandra Marshall clearly wants to make a name for herself, and to do that, she's taking full advantage of the newly-integrated Showdown roster, challenging Blake Dynamite this week. A win here could set Cassandra up for big things in the near future... but Blake won't be an easy mark, and Cassandra's sure to know that. Pure Gold seems prepared to get themselves back on track this week. While they dropped a hard-fought match to the Marshall siblings last week, they'll have quite a different challenge here: Listalva Anne Heyward appears to have decided to stick with Eri Sentarl for now, and the two may be forming a full-time tag team. Still, against Pure Gold's overwhelming strength, do they stand any chance of coming out of this one with a win? Firehawk Sentarl appears to have made a full return to singles competition by now... and he's not taking things lightly, either, preparing to take on Lance Marshall this week. This could be a statement on just where Firehawk's future is leading: if he can still hang with Lance, he could be gearing up for another big run... Rilantha De Nav may just be in over her head this week. A veteran she might be, but she's directly challenging the Titan, Urani Whitemist, in a colossal size and strength mis-match. Still, Ril's technique is never in doubt... and there could still be some surprises up the veteran's sleeve. The tag champs are on a roll... but that could very easily change in a heartbeat this week as they step into the ring with the Rising Storm. Anahera and Xiu Mei Li have been perennial contenders for the tag titles, and while it's been some time since they held the belts, it seems like they're itching to become champions once again... and with the opportunity to take down the champs this week, they could be on their way to the top once more. The last time this match happened, it was seemingly an attempt to bring the Dragon's ego down to earth. Now, the World Champion has issued the challenge to the giant, guaranteeing Binak a World Title match if he somehow beats her again... Dragon's confidence remains at an all-time high despite losing the Blackrose title recently, though perhaps the loss of that title is exactly the reason she's issued such a reckless challenge. But perhaps she wants to prove once and for all that there is no one in Phoenix Rising that can beat her... Natasha Clover could be on the verge of something big. She's earned the right to be the first challenger for the Pacific Northwest Championship... and Kaelara Sentarl seems to be welcoming it, prepared to defend her title the same as always. It appears likely that the Pacific Northwest title will be defended fairly often: if not every Showdown, then likely every other episode, and Kaelara clearly welcomes the challenge that comes with being a champion. Natasha Clover "Just a few more days... I step into that ring with Kaelara Sentarl, I get the first-ever shot at the brand-new title. Who else could it be, let's face it... I'm as good as it gets. And at the end of the night... no matter what I've gotta do... I'm going to hold that championship over my head, I'm gonna stand over Kaelara Sentarl's unconscious body, I'm going to be the Pacific Northwest Champion... and I'll take on anyone, and everyone that wants to deny me that honor. Keep that belt warm, Kae... because I mean it when I say I'm gonna knock your ass out." Kaelara Sentarl "Natasha's confident. She's bordering on arrogant, but... well, I don't blame her. She's more than earned her way to challenging for this title. Both Natasha and Todd Colton have been so impressive since they got together, I'm honestly... really impressed by it. And yeah, she's rude, she's crass, she's already expressed what she wants to do to me when we step into that ring. But I warn you now, Natasha: it's not as easy as you think to take me out. I'm rested. I'm ready. And I won't back down for a second. I'm going to carry this title with pride, and if you want to take it from me... you'll have to be at your absolute best. Because anything less than that won't do."
