Monday night: the last show before Sky's the Limit. We'll see the next challenger determined for Firehawk Sentarl's World Championship. We'll see our typical Pacific Northwest Championship defense, the first for new champion SATOMI. And we'll see a #1 contender's match for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships between two of Showdown's most iconic teams, as they seek to challenge Los Locos on the big stage. Showdown Episode 129 Tournament Semifinal #1
Tournament Semifinal #2
Vindication (Shiana/Yuki) vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Celine Chevalier vs. Titania
Team Dynamite vs. The GOAT, #1 Contender’s Match for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships
Arthur Wright vs. Hugo Dirksen
Sanya Markov vs. SATOMI for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Kojiro Burai and Akira Ryusaki vs. Firehawk Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav
Tournament Final The night kicks off with two matches as part of a mini-tournament. Four names will participate in this one-night run for the championship... who will come out on top and challenge Firehawk next week? And, to boot... just who's been chosen to attempt to take their shot? The Sheridan Brothers, urged on by the leader of the Tip Top, Mascara Avispa, aren't finished with Vindication. After a loss to Shinobu Yamamoto and Sayuri Date, the Sheridans have issued a second challenge towards the veteran team, this time seeking to take on Shiana Sentarl and Yuki Maeda. And Vindication has answered the call... will the Sheridans avenge their prior defeat? Or will Vindication punch their ticket to a potential big-time matchup at Sky's the Limit? The no-longer-Kintelas family has set their sights on one group, and one group alone: the European Technician's Collective. For whatever reason, Winifred Wright has decided to target the reigning Trios Champions, and this week, has sent her best and brightest into the fray, two of them against the Euros, starting with Titania taking on the Knight-Errant, Celine Chevalier. Titania is, without a doubt, one of the strongest powerhouses on Showdown's roster, but Celine is one of the most gifted technicians in all of Phoenix Rising... a true test for both women. Team Dynamite, seeking something bigger and better after a rough patch in a post-Avispa era, have finally gotten a chance at the top. Blake Dynamite and Jessika Boom are one win away from challenging Los Locos... but standing in their way is one of the greatest teams ever to set foot in Phoenix Rising. The GOAT did not earn their name without reason... Kellaron Sentarl and Victor Kintelas are here to reach the top of the division once again, and not even a pair of fan favorites can dampen their charge to the top. Winifred has not stood idle since the retirement of Kileas Kintelas. Her other target in the E.T.C. is Hugo Dirksen, as she sends her son into battle against the Dutch suplex wizard. Arthur Wright is looking to make an impact on Showdown, and a win over Hugo one-on-one would go a long way towards establishing himself as a threat... SATOMI faces one hell of a challenge right out of the gate. Her first defense, after dethroning Anari Lynn Heyward, will be none other than Sanya Markov... the Last Man Standing, and the heavy of the formerly-Kintelas family. Does SATOMI have what it takes to overcome this size difference and defend her title? Kojiro Burai isn't going to give up on shooting high. The red-hot rising star came up just short against Rilantha De Nav one-on-one last episode, but impressed enough that he's getting a second shot... this time in tag action. Bringing Akira Ryusaki into the fray, he'll once again face off with Ril... and the Phoenix Rising World Champion, Firehawk Sentarl, as well. Can Kojiro stand tall against one of the most frightening tag teams Phoenix Rising has ever witnessed? Finally, the main event will see the finals of our #1 contender mini-tournament. The two semifinal winners will square off... but we still don't know who's up to the task! Just who has been given the opportunity to fight for the contendership... and who will step up to face Firehawk at one of the biggest shows of the year?

Monday, June 24, 2024: Sky's the Limit VII. As year 7 of Phoenix Rising reaches its midpoint, we have one hell of a show lined up. SKY'S THE LIMIT VII Priya Mallaya vs. Kojiro Burai vs. Ziggy Rockefeller vs. Calista Vargas vs. Eddy Introspect vs. Veronika Armstrong vs. Lexi Dawson vs. Johnny Rocket
Ashton Crowe and Ereshkigal vs. Trinity Knight and ??? for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships
Carmen Latour vs. Laura Tate for the Heart of Texas Championship
The GOAT vs. Los Locos for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships
Kyle Anderson vs. Sanya Markov for the Pacific Northwest Championship
The Tip Top (Sheridans and Avispa) vs. The European Technician’s Collective for the Phoenix Rising Trios Championships
Felice Santana vs. Angel Leblanc for the Inspire Championship
The Yoshida Twins vs. The Excellent Blades for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships
Elly Blackwood vs. Kantar for the Evergreen Championship
Revon Beauregard vs. Pyrohawk Grey for the Ascendant Championship
Leslie Flare vs. Georgia Eagles for the Spirit of Texas Championship
The Black Dragon vs. Firehawk Sentarl for the Phoenix Rising World Championship Kicking off the night, we have one hell of an inter-promotional battle royal lined up. Two members of each roster: Showdown, Proving Ground, AFW and Evergreen, in an eight-way battle royal for supremacy! The Evergreen Tag Team Championships are on the line... and despite Mercy Devine being taken out of action after her attempt at becoming #1 contender against Elly Blackwood... the titles will still be defended! But who has Trinity Knight lined up to be her replacement partner for this match? And will it be enough to stop the fury of Oakland's Most Metal? Laura Tate is fresh off of a vicious fight against Ian Robinson to defend her Heart of Texas Championship for the fifth time. Now she gets another foe that could very well be tougher than she's prepared for... Carmen Latour has been a perennial top-level competitor in AFW, and now has her sights set on the Heart of Texas. The GOAT came out on top in the end, after a hot streak saw them take down multiple teams en route to Sky's the Limit, including Team Dynamite just this past week on Showdown. Now, they get a shot at Los Locos... Cruz Corona and Chido Ortega are a tough team to overcome, but could the GOAT be up to the task? Kyle Anderson doesn't care who holds the title. SATOMI may have fallen to Sanya Markov, but Kyle is the sort of man who will take whatever challenge is placed in front of him. And a victory here would add to Pure Gold's impressive trophy case... if he can get through the Last Man Standing. After overcoming Vindication to get a measure of payback, The Tip Top now set their sights on gold... the Trios Championships. The Sheridan Brothers will get the assistance of their leader, in Mascara Avispa's first match back since New Year's Bash! And with the E.T.C. brought down to a more "fair" playing field minus Damian Shepherd... could this be the end of their impressive reign? Felice Santana has been running the gauntlet the last few weeks, taking on Elise Pichon and Michelle Rochefort ahead of her match for the Inspire Championship. Angel Leblanc, however, has no intention of letting go of her hard-won title without a fight... The Yoshidas and the Blades have been at each others' throats over the past month or so... and with the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships hanging in the balance, there's no doubt that this match will get ugly in a hurry. But can the Yoshidas overcome one of the most dominant teams in Proving Ground's history? Elly Blackwood put an exclamation point on her challenge: to earn this spot against Kantar, she absolutely wiped out Mercy Devine. Is it finally time for the Invincible to reclaim her place at the top of Evergreen's hierarchy? Revon Beauregard was, admittedly, a dark horse to earn this opportunity. Among the six men who vied for a shot at the Ascendant Championship, he could've been one of the least likely to pull it off. Nevertheless, he stands here, proving the naysayers wrong... and could very well be the man that dethrones Pyrohawk Grey. AFW brings a colossal matchup, with two top-level Wrestle Parade talents squaring off for its top prize. A victory for Leslie would not only mean gold for Wild Arms, but it would bring the Spirit of Texas back home to its home state... still, taking down Georgia Eagles is not something to take lightly, and Leslie will need to bring her all to topple the powerhouse. Finally, the main event: a matchup that could go down as legendary. Brother and sister. Phoenix and dragon. Firehawk Sentarl and the Black Dragon, fighting for the Phoenix Rising World Championship. Two of the most unstoppable forces in Phoenix Rising's history... who will come out on top? Can Dragon become the first-ever two-time World Champion? Or will Firehawk's reign as a fighting champion continue? This one's a wild one, without a doubt. A massive card for the mid-year show. Sky's the Limit never fails to deliver... so don't miss this one.

And with that, Sky's the Limit is a wrap. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/2181098284Youtube: youtu.be/taa5-Z_0mSsQuick Results Eddy Introspect won the opener battle royal to earn a shot at the Evergreen Championship Ashton Crowe and Ereshkigal def. The GOAT to retain the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships Kyle Anderson def. Sanya Markov to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion The Tip Top (Mascara Avispa and the Sheridans) def. The E.T.C. to become the NEW Phoenix Rising Trios Champions Angel Leblanc def. Felice Santana to retain the Inspire Championship The Yoshida Twins def. The Excellent Blades to become the NEW Proving Ground Tag Team Champions Elly Blackwood def. Kantar to become the NEW Evergreen Champion Revon Beauregard def. Pyrohawk Grey to become the NEW Ascendant Champion Georgia Eagles def. Leslie Flare to retain the Spirit of Texas Champion Firehawk Sentarl def. The Black Dragon to retain the Phoenix Rising World Championship Write-ups Opening the show, a wild battle royal with participants from all four of Phoenix Rising's affiliate shows. And at the end of the road... well, who can ever deny how clutch this man is? Eddy Introspect comes out of the fight with a huge victory, and a shot at the Evergreen Championship, though he may not be eager to take that shot given later events in the night. Trinity Knight has been left hunting for a backup partner for the second time as a tag champion. And she did indeed find one in Kaelara Sentarl, who she teamed with recently in the PEWA. But much like last time, it simply wasn't enough. Once again, Mercy Devine loses the tag titles without being a participant in the match, and once again, Trinity is left wondering just how she's supposed to keep this up with an unreliable partner... Laura Tate has been nearly unstoppable. Ian Robinson, at the last AFW show, was the closest to giving the titan a challenge, but Laura has remained utterly impenetrable as the Heart of Texas Champion, such that even Carmen Latour's high-flying ability simply wasn't enough to even slow her down. The GOAT brought their best into this one... but so did Los Locos. And it's obvious that Chido and Cruz aren't ready to surrender these titles, even if the end of this match proved they're every bit as lucky as they are talented, with Victor struggling to find an opening to break up a pin right in front of him, securing the defense for the champions. Kyle Anderson might be on the verge of a tremendous breakout. This was an electric match, as one could expect from the Five-Star Baltimore Savage, and even the crushing might of Sanya Markov couldn't stop Kyle from coming out of this as the new Pacific Northwest Champion. Could Kyle finally be the one to break this run of one-and-done PNW reigns? Mascara Avispa's first match in six months would be for the Trios Championships, earned by the Sheridans just last week, and the Tip Top trio didn't squander the opportunity. Ultimately it'd be the most unlikely man that scored the victory, as Vincent Sheridan picked up the pinfall and returned the Tip Top to... well, the top. At least when it comes to the Trios division. One cannot see Angel Leblanc as a fluke champion anymore. This was hard-fought from bell to bell, with Felice Santana fighting to keep this moving, while Angel steadily wore the younger woman down, ultimately finding her opening and securing the submission with the Figure Eight, as she's done to so many others over the years. Still the Inspire Champion, still without a doubt Les Beautes Blondes to the core. After months of dominance, the Blades have finally been toppled. The Yoshida Twins finally claimed victory here, after an extremely hard-fought match that saw both sides nearly take it on multiple occasions. But the Yoshidas capitalized on a golden opportunity, and now they've reclaimed the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships. One doesn't expect matches quite this long from Kantar. But that just showed how intense this match really was. Still, Elly came in with a gameplan, and executed it to perfection, steadily focusing on her nigh-legendary armbars until finally, she broke Kantar down and re-captured the Evergreen Championship. Maybe one of the most impressive matches of the night, Revon Beauregard came into this on a hot streak... but the question was whether he was able to keep that momentum going against a champion that's looked utterly dominant since becoming the Ascendant Champion. Truth was, Revon was more than up to the task of taking down Pyrohawk, and he secured the submission victory, setting Les Beautes Blondes up as the dominant force on Proving Ground. Match of the night? Very well could be. This was an absolutely spectacular match between two AFW stalwarts, two Wrestle Parade legends, and the Spirit of Texas Championship on the line. And while Leslie Flare fought with all she had in an effort to bring the title back onto a Texan, it just wasn't enough, and Georgia would ultimately retain and continue her impressive reign at the top of AFW. And that brought us to the main event. The Black Dragon, seeking to become the first-ever two-time Phoenix Rising World Champion... but to do that, she'd have to stop one of the most exceedingly dominant forces in Phoenix Rising's history. Firehawk has been a true monster as World Champion, fending off challenger after challenger, and this would prove no different. After an intense brawl between brother and sister, Firehawk finally found his opening, locking in a Sharpshooter, and doing something that only one other wrestler has ever been known to do: forcing the Black Dragon to submit. The reign goes on, and the Phoenix continues to prove himself nearly invincible.
