EVIDENCE How can she say that about you? Talk about bad sportsmanship. The absolute gall of this woman. Like c'mon. At least quote a good song. BUT THE MOST DAMNING EVIDENCE OF THEM ALL You have no choice. She has to go. Years ago? Those tweets are all from this year. ONE OF THEM HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET. Hana where'd you get a time machine?

Oh shit Hana's cunning plan had a hole in itI lol'd, and that's the main point here. Let's look ahead to next week, shall we?
Pre-Show: Rachel White vs. Cassie Rose
Pre-Show: Emma Travers vs. Donna Nobel
Pre-Show: Kyle Anderson vs. Elly Blackwood
Felice Santana and Vivian Forester vs. Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki
Silver Hawk vs. Todd Colton
Anna Bryant vs. Allison Avery (Special Qualifier)
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Gary Gear
Mercy Devine vs. Layla Al-Amin (Special Qualifier)
Natasha Clover vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
Mallory Spaulding and Kanjirin Tonorian vs. The Limbtakers
Blake Dynamite vs. Avery Adonis AlexanderWe return to normal, somewhat, as Proving Ground now gets to experience the fallout from Sky's The Limit. Proving Ground's part in that show was a major one, seeing three championships decided: one staying put, one changing hands, and one bestowed on its first winners. Rachel White and Cassie Rose have somewhat spotty records thus far in Phoenix Rising. They've struggled to get a proper foothold on Proving Ground, and now seek to get back on track in the pre-show opener. Emma Travers saw her debut go relatively well, all things considered... but a loss is a loss, and the rookie will seek to score a big upset over Donna Nobel. Elly Blackwood has been nothing short of a force of nature from the moment she first debuted on Proving Ground, and she'll look to keep her momentum rolling to close the pre-show against Kyle Anderson, who seeks to keep his modest winning streak intact for once. Opening the show, the runner-up team of Rin and Fresh will take on the young pair of Vivian Forester and Felice Santana. A disappointing loss in the tournament final shouldn't discourage the Japanese duo... they should bounce back here. Silver Hawk has looked remarkable as of late: shedding his early reputation and becoming a real force on Proving Ground. Is it the new gear? A new attitude? Simply just bringing more to the table each match? Whatever the case, he'll be wanting to keep that momentum up against Todd Colton, ahead of the Obnoxious One's appearance over in ZIP Japan. Two rookies, both set to compete in the upcoming 49th Parallel, aim to sharpen themselves for the coming tournament: Anna Bryant, representing Idaho, will bring her technical prowess to bear, while Allison Avery, representing Arkansas, brings power and vicious lariats to the table. Kellaron Sentarl hardly looks like a leader. The young man simply has not been able to produce the results compared to the rest of his partners, but against Gary Gear, anything is possible. Can the True Successor force Gear to admit defeat? Layla Al-Amin's time in Phoenix Rising has been less than stellar, but the flashy Egyptian is quickly becoming a crowd favorite, regardless. Her fans may want to look away, however, as she'll be taking on the violent Mercy Devine... and a match with Mercy is almost guaranteed to end in blood. The newly-crowned Inspire Champion, the Devil Hand herself, is looking to take a victory lap... and what better way to do it than to wipe out the sister of the woman she defeated for the title? Natasha's arrogance and bravado have reached an entirely new level, and Anari Lynn Heyward clearly won't stand for it... The inaugural Proving Ground Tag Team Champions ran through the teams of Mascara Avispa and the Phantom Thief, then Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki to claim the titles at Sky's The Limit. But the Limbtakers want redemption after a heartbreaking defeat to Rin and Fresh... and Candace made a bold claim for this match, to boot. Blake Dynamite proved he belonged at the top when he defeated Mallory Spaulding one-on-one at Sky's The Limit. Now standing tall as the undisputed Top Prospect, he'll step into the ring with the brash Avery Adonis Alexander, and almost certainly continue what may be the most electrifying run in Phoenix Rising history. Candace Monroe"Losing sucks. It's the worst damn feeling in the world when you bring everything you've got and just can't get it done. I should've been able to come to Nicole's rescue, I should've been able to shove Rin aside and break things up, but I couldn't. We lost our chance at being the best. But at Proving Ground, we're gonna show everyone what should've been. We're gonna show those two bullies how lucky they were to not have to face us. RNA's gonna pull your arms off, Mallory, and you won't be suplexing anyone after that. Kanjirin, I'm gonna pull your legs off and you're not gonna be slamming anyone down. The Limbtakers are gonna take you two down. That's a PROMISE." Natasha Clover"You can consider this my victory lap. You can consider this week my coronation. Because let's face it... do you really think that the English whore's fat-ass sister is gonna do any better than she did? Don't make me laugh. Anari, I'll send you crying home to your sister and you can both whine and cry together as losers. Because let's face it... that's all the Heywards are ever gonna be. You got your one taste of fame, Listalva, and that's the last time you're ever gonna amount to anything here... and as for Anari, well, you'll never even get that much. You might as well just sit down, shut up, and let me pin you without a fight... but either way, the result's not gonna change. It's gonna end with you on your back, and me standing tall as YOUR Inspire Champion." Todd Colton"Whoa, whoa, lemme get this straight. This match already happened, you already got what you wanted, and now you want to put me back in the ring with this flying dork? You call this a warm-up? You call this getting me ready for Japan? Stop treating me like a JOKE, dammit!" Todd glances off camera... "Todd, Silver Hawk won your last meeting-" "I DON'T CARE IF HE WON LAST TIME OR NOT, HE'S NOT WINNING THIS ONE! SCREW SILVER HAWK! SCREW YOU! I'M THE REASON PEOPLE WATCH THIS DAMN SHOW ANYMORE!" Todd's furious rant continues even as the interviewers walk away, and the cameras switch off.

Fresh Suzuki: After the tag team title match, Fresh Suzuki is sitting on a cot set up for the ring doctors, trying her hardest to keep her composure (and largely failing). She chokes back the tears as she looks at the camera, her eyes widened like a sad puppy's.
"I-I'm sorry, Rin! I really screwed this up for the both of us... We had them! We totally did! And I spaced out, bad. I don't even know where my head was then. Maybe it was a few too many of those suplexes from that thug Mallory, but everything went blank while I was standing there. It's like a haze, sorta like when you have a weird dream at night and wake up, but only remember like 10% of what happened. I was there but it felt like I was sitting in the crowd watching myself watching you and, like... The next thing I know, I see you there, and then those two dickweeds celebrating."
A doctor comes up to Fresh's side. "Okay, let's see if we can get a preliminary checkup on you. Based on what you told us earlier, we're worried you might have suffered a mild concussion during the match -- nothing that will keep you off the card next week, of course, but it's still cause for you to take it easy for a short while..." The camera fades out before they begin their physical exam.

You will note that two matches on this week's Proving Ground card have had a "Special Qualifier" note added to them. Due to the way Shiana Sentarl has wiped out nearly every challenger that's come before her since winning the Women's Championship, it's been decided that a contender will be determined via an 8-woman battle royal... four women from Proving Ground, and four women from Showdown, will be chosen in eight qualifying matches over the next four weeks. The qualifiers will thus take place on episodes 15-16 of both Proving Ground and Showdown: The battle royal will take place at Proving Ground episode 17, and the Women's Championship match earned in that battle royal will then be at Showdown episode 17.
The first qualifiers will be Anna Bryant vs. Allison Avery, and Mercy Devine vs. Layla Al-Amin. Future qualifiers will be decided soon.

The show's going on tonight, but may run earlier than usual as I just want to get through it. I have a LOT of crap I need to get through this week before the start of the 49th next Wednesday, and not all of it has to do with the tournament.
I had a hell of a night dwelling on things and just need to get my head back on straight. Suffice to say that I likely won't ever be doing anything like the 49th Parallel ever again, it's been rough to get on track (I think the timing was just horrifically bad.)
Likely start time is going to be around 4:30 PDT or so (I get home about 4.) We'll see what ends up happening. I'll get a clearer idea of the plan once I get home from work.

Sounds good, FH, you run it when you need to, and I'll try to be there. Hope everything's going ok in real life, I know how that stuff can sap one's motivation and energy for the things we enjoy away from the grind and the maelstrom. Felice Felice Santana: This is the sort of match that I love to wrestle in! Two super special wrestlers on the other side of the ring, somebody I like and trust in my corner, it's great! And we all like to go double speed fast! Nobody's slow in this match! Rin and Fresh are both really good, and they showed us why in the big tag team tournament! They almost won it! But I think that Vivian and I can give you a challenge here, and we might even win this ourselves! So I can't wait to get going and start flipping!
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Yeah, time for us to get serious. Because if we're not serious, we're getting eviscerated. Thrown around. Stomped on. Slammed. And between me and Candace, we aren't much a fan of those things when they happen to us. I know we're the underdogs, everyone knows it. But if we've proven anything here on Proving Ground, we've proven that we're proven tough. We may lose, but we get back up. We lost last time out there, but do you see us crying? We may be looked past, but we'll make sure you regret it. And we've shown some people just how dangerous it is to do that! So, Team Gold, come get some!
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: We're stepping up now! We're facing some big shots here!
Adonis Avery Alexander: Of course, they give me the bigger name, because I am more than worthy of facing the superior opponent.
Gear: Yeah, so? Kellaron ain't no joke! He's like a dumbbell incline press, it's not the lift everyone cares the most about, but that doesn't mean that it's any easier!
AAA: Whatever. That didn't even make any sense. Blake Dynamite's a real big deal. He is heralded by the fans and the critics. Management thinks he is one of their top stars. And I have a chance to show that no matter how good he is, and he is very good, but the All Natural Adonis is just a step above.
Gear: Har, har! Since when?
AAA: I was born superior.
Gear: A superior jackass!
AAA: Shut your mouth, you de-evolved neanderthal. I am higher on the card. I face the better foe. And I will reap the benefits.
Gear: Sorry, but I don't fear the reaper! But Kellaron might just learn what it feels like to Fear Gary Gear!
AAA: Yeah, sure...

Proving Ground's early show is wrapped, things went smoothly, and I feel... OK. I'll manage. This week's gonna be a busy one off-screen, I have a LOT of things I need to do, but for now, here's how episode 15 ran. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/297035163Youtube: youtu.be/LRRp-wPwXGIQuick Results Rin Ryusaki and Fresh Suzuki (newly dubbed Winter Fresh) def. Vivian Forester and Felice Santana Todd Colton def. Silver Hawk Allison Avery def. Anna Bryant (earns place in battle royal) Kellaron Sentarl def. Gary Gear Kyle Anderson def. Elly Blackwood Mercy Devine def. Layla Al-Amin (earns place in battle royal) Anari Lynn Heyward def. Natasha Clover Mallory Spaulding and Kanjirin Tonorian def. The Limbtakers Blake Dynamite def. Avery Adonis Alexander Write-ups Fast-paced opener to start the night off, and the team of Rin and Fresh (dubbed Winter Fresh during the show) kept their solid momentum up with a convincing win. Could the Japanese duo manage another shot at the champions? Amazingly enough, Todd Colton finally won another match ahead of his appearance in the ZIP Japan tournament coming up. We've now seen a side of Todd that we haven't before... can he keep that up going into his Japanese tour? And can he win the obviously-going-to-happen rubber match with Silver Hawk? Allison Avery came into this match with something to prove, clearly. And she sure as hell proved it. She tossed Anna around like a ragdoll, and absolutely wiped the Boise native out in short order, earning the first spot in the upcoming battle royal. Perhaps tired of being seen as a joke, Kellaron never let Gear out of the gates here. He tagged the roided-up star with knees, wrenched him into crossfaces, and overall, dominated this match without breaking a sweat. Promoted from the pre-show that never happened, this one delivered and clearly deserved its promotion. Kyle stepped up BIG against the Invincible one, and somehow pulled off a major upset victory to keep his streak going! Layla was strong out of the gate here: she kept up a relentless attack on Mercy, who fired right back at her. Mercy's trademark dirty tactics saw Layla busted open mid-way through the match, but through that, the Cairo Cyclone continued to fight, nailing two Sky Twisters that nearly took it home... but Mercy would catch her in a Dragon Sleeper that brought her momentum to a screeching halt, and punched Mercy's ticket to the battle royal alongside Allison. Anari Lynn Heyward was a woman on a mission tonight. Vengeance for her sister losing at Sky's The Limit, she put Natasha through her paces, overpowering her at nearly every turn, and wrenching her into a brutal Torture Rack for the finish... and just to add insult to injury, dropped the Inspire Champion across her knee once she'd submitted. Anari showed a serious mean streak here, but the crowd clearly enjoyed seeing the arrogant champion laid low. Easily the match of the night, the champions were struggling to put the Limbtakers away for a very, very long time. Candace was a relentless dynamo, wrenching the knees of both Mallory and Kanjirin, while RNA did much the same, striking hard, wrenching arms... and late-match, seeming determined to take things home herself. This, however, would ultimately backfire: Alger got caught between the champion duo, and when Candace attempted to come to her partner's aid, Mallory set up her favorite tag-team maneuver: the Two-Story German Suplex. RNA was left out of it, Candace was knocked senseless, and as the young Aussie staggered back to her corner by the referee's orders, Alger took the fall and gave the champions another victory. AAA seemed to have it all going his way early on, dominating the start of this match in his usual fashion. But as things moved forward, Blake started to make his comeback... culminating in a roaring Double Lotation, and continuing the Top Prospect's dominance over Proving Ground. Candace Monroe Candace appears to be laying on a table with Emma standing over her, the doctor frowning slightly. "This has to stop. Spaulding's concussed Fresh Suzuki, she's clearly concussed you, Candace, and I won't have this continuing."
"I'm gonna... pull her damn leg off..." Candace murmurs... there's still fire in her voice, and she seems well enough, if a bit shaken. Emma helps her sit up, the young Aussie putting a hand to her head. "You listen up, Mallory... you're the biggest damn bully around here, and your time's gonna come. The day's gonna come when the Limbtakers get another crack at you... and I'm gonna make damn sure I screw that knee up a whole lot worse next time. Cause you've earned that much. Just you wait." Natasha Clover "Who the hell let that happen? What'd you do, you fat English cow? Pay off little Miss Brightly to make sure you took it? You people are always looking for the next way to screw me over, and it's NOT GONNA WORK ANYMORE! I'm the damn Inspire Champion and you'd better start showing the proper RESPECT before I knock your friggin' head off!" Todd Colton "... Told you I had it. You're looking at something new, here. Things have changed, you get it? You want to keep seeing the joke, you want to keep looking at me like that loser from before, but that's over. It's done. And I'm going to be THE BEST, I'm going to take my shot at the top, not only here, but over in Japan with the ZIP crowd. Next time you see me in a Phoenix Rising ring, I might just be the best in the damn world."

RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Guess...guess I wanted that too much. Dad told me there were times like this. Times where you try so hard that it backfires. This was one of them. And the worst part, Candace had to pay a price for it too. Damnit. But if those Golden Jerks think this is the last they saw of the Limbtakers, they're as stupid as they look!
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: We need to do something different.
Adonis Avery Alexander: Speak for yourself, roidhead. I put on a top notch match with a top notch opponent. I pushed Blake Dynamite past his limits. If that means that I did not emerge victorious, it was no less glorious.
Gear: Aw, shuddup, you lost, I lost. Nobody cares about the rest.
AAA: Actually, they certainly do. You looked like a nincompoop who didn't belong in the organization. Kellaron Sentarl just gained a bit of momentum for his career jumping off your oversized, non functional shoulders. And considering how bad he has been, you did him a massive favor.
Gear: Yeah, yeah, pile on. But you sure seem happy for someone who lost his match.
AAA: Maybe you could stick around here...as my manager. It's the only way you'll sniff the main event.
Gear: All I sniff from you is your bullshit!
AAA: Look at who's getting all worked up!
Gear: Screw you! I'll break you in two, skinny man!
AAA: Whatever, you couldn't break a pencil in half right now.
Gary Gear, at a boiling point, lunges after his tag team partner, who deftly avoids the uncoordinated attack.
AAA: Hold up! Seriously. Hold up. Look, we keep losing our matches, and I don't like it either. We're not just plateauing, we're losing ground now. And I got the solution. You know, the Senatorial Office just signed a deal under the table with a group in Japan. Lightning Pro. They need, as they call it, gaijin. We're going to be gaijin now. And we're going to train over there and maybe you could learn how not to lose!
Gear: Seriously? You signed me up to go to Japan? You didn't even ask! We got a contract here!
AAA: Frequent flier miles...we'll be earning them...

Next week's Showdown will, of course, be the first post-Sky's The Limit show for the main roster... and things aren't looking like they're going to slow down, much.
Pre-Show: Emma Travers vs. Donna Nobel
Pre-Show: Rachel White vs. Cassie Rose
Pre-Show: The Black Dragon vs. Anahera
Eri Sentarl vs. Besos, Special Exhibition
Binak Tonorian vs. Kileas Kintelas: Return of the Giant
Firehawk Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav vs. The Syndicate
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Winifred Wright (Qualifier)
Laenara Kintelas vs. Angel Leblanc (Qualifier)
Urani Whitemist vs. Victor Kintelas
Chance at Glory: The Phantom Thief vs. Telan Kintelas, #1 Contender Match
Shiana Sentarl vs. Alexandria KirisonThe pre-show that was mostly skipped on Proving Ground will get a second chance to shine here. Emma Travers will pull double-duty as wrestler and referee, though given the nature of the card, she'll have more than enough time between her match with Donna Nobel and her likely first ref duties of the night, which will probably be for the last three matches of the night.
Rachel White and Cassie Rose get another shot here, and with any luck won't have their match cut or delayed again.
Anahera's claims as of late have been... to put things lightly, bold. She now seems poised to test herself against one of the toughest wrestlers ever to set foot in Phoenix Rising... a win over the Dragon could herald big things for the Maori Warrior.
Eri Sentarl gets the match of a lifetime with someone set to become a regular fixture in Phoenix Rising: as she gears up to take on Besos. Rumor has it that the popular star will not be coming to the company alone, but as of yet, her infamous brother has not quite arrived to join the tag division... so, this match will tide things over.
The giant is coming back out of retirement. While Binak Tonorian does not intend to remain a full-time fixture of the company, it's rumored that he's been slowly losing patience with Kileas Kintelas... and now he's stepping back into the ring in the hopes of silencing the Alpha Villain, at least for a while.
Firehawk's recent lack of success in singles competition has pressed him to return to tag team action alongside Rilantha De Nav. They'll have the equally-slumping Syndicate to deal with here, and it's expected they'll deal with it with relative ease.
The first of two qualifiers for the battle royal, and an opportunity to join Allison Avery and Mercy Devine, begins with the incredible Kaelara Sentarl taking one of the toughest challenges of her young career, against the veteran Winifred Wright. A win for Kae here could send her to even greater heights, and another potential showdown with her mother.
The other qualifier sees the brash young Laenara Kintelas taking on one of the self-proclaimed greatest in Phoenix Rising, Angel Leblanc. Most would expect Laenara to take this match easily... but Angel has surprised people before.
Urani Whitemist seems to be ignoring the recent "controversy" surrounding her current championship reign: asked about what came out last week, she mostly showed confusion over what anyone was even talking about. She'll be taking on Victor Kintelas this week, who will be looking to continue his group's run of success after Mallory and Kanjirin not only became tag team champions, but dominated Proving Ground, along with Kellaron's stunning victory over Gary Gear.
A surprising opportunity has been given to two men who have, at times, been lost in the shuffle. Telan Kintelas and the Phantom Thief are both getting the opportunity to elevate themselves in a big way by being offered a #1 contender's match: the winner here goes on to face Urani for the World Championship.
Closing things out, perhaps the only woman that Shiana Sentarl has not yet faced: Alexandria Kirison, who seems more than prepared to take on the Women's Champion. Can she do what nobody else has been able to do? Alex has already expressed her intention to qualify for the battle royal, but a win here could slingshot her past the qualifying round and straight to a major championship showdown...

Showdown will go on schedule tonight, as I'm not dealing with a mental breakdown like I was last week (Actually having tournament work done and the whole pre-recorded nature of it out in the open helps a lot, who knew). There's a lot happening tonight... a potential challenger rising up to face Shiana, the next contender for Urani's title, and a shot for two teams to make their case at taking on the Rising Storm.
When asked about the mysterious image that has appeared after Eri's last two matches, she expressed that she's not currently worried about it. Nobody has been able to figure out what's going on with it... who the figure in the image happens to be, why Eri's name is seemingly within it... at this point, it's hard to tell exactly what it all means. But Eri doesn't seem terribly worried... so it can't be that much trouble.

Showdown episode 15 is wrapped, and shit got a little wild throughout the night. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/299962253Youtube: youtu.be/0FN54HKWUp4Quick Results Donna Nobel def. Emma Travers Rachel White def. Cassie Rose Black Dragon def. Anahera Eri Sentarl vs. Besos was a NO CONTEST when FENIX OSCURO appeared! Binak Tonorian def. Kileas Kintelas Firehawk Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav def. The Syndicate Winifred Wright def. Kaelara Sentarl Angel Leblanc def. Laenara Kintelas Urani Whitemist def. Victor Kintelas The Phantom Thief def. Telan Kintelas to become NEW #1 Contender for the World Championship Alexandria Kirison def. Shiana Sentarl Write-ups A solid match for Emma, who looked good in defeat. She gave Nobel a few scares with her quick flash pins, but ultimately didn't have quite enough kick to put this one away properly. A good showing by both sides here, but Cassie once again found herself coming up short... though not through fault of her own, as Rachel went wild down the home stretch with sharp kicks, capped off by a crushing Kamigoye that left the Texan cowgirl down and out. As bold as Anahera has been lately, boldness isn't everything: and Dragon showed her that much tonight. The two brawled hard in this one, Anahera refusing to give in for some time, but ultimately Dragon would force the Maori to admit defeat with her vicious submission. This was the last image we saw in this matchup. Besos seemed primed to pick up a big win over the beloved superstar, and cap off the opening match of the main card with a crowd-pleasing moment. And then... the lights went out. Staying off for some time, the crowd heard two loud "THWACK" noises... as if someone had been struck with a chair. And finally, the lights came back on... Besos laid outside the ring by the ramp, out cold, the referee, Millicent Shine, laid near her, and Eri was alone in the ring with the mysterious luchadora, Fenix Oscuro. The images that had appeared after Eri's last two matches had been a warning... a warning for this moment. Already exhausted from what was a grueling match with Besos, Eri was no match for Oscuro. The masked invader capped off her assault with a brutal Shining Wizard, and only then was anyone able to restore order, Oscuro slipping out of the ring as security rushed to the aid of the fallen referee, the unconscious Besos, and an unmoving Eri. Oscuro has made her statement... what does it mean for the rest of Phoenix Rising? A triumphant return to the ring for the veteran, the giant, a legend in Phoenix Rising: Binak Tonorian took one of the toughest men on the roster and laid him low. It seems that Binak is here to stay once again, and the rest of Phoenix Rising had better take notice. Far more of a struggle than perhaps either team was expecting, this one was full of brilliant teamwork by both sides... but where Firehawk and Ril looked like a well-oiled machine, the Syndicate had more than a few miscommunications that hurt their chances. Ril would ultimately catch Haruka in the middle of the ring, Sophia hesitating to step in... and by the time she did, Firehawk stepped in to cut her off, and gave the veterans another major victory, and the Syndicate yet another loss. A hard fight by Kaelara against the veteran here, but youth didn't seem to be quite enough tonight, as Winifred simply overpowered her at every turn. A hard lariat seemed to knock Kae's lights out and sent Winifred into the 8-woman battle royal to decide a #1 contender. Perhaps one of the big shockers of the night: Angel Leblanc takes down the first Women's Champion in near-dominant fashion. The Frenchwoman had Lae's number tonight, never letting her get off the ground, and soars into the battle royal alongside Mercy, Winifred and Allison. Urani Whitemist was in no mood tonight. Perhaps Victor badmouthed his sister before the match, perhaps he said something about the recent controversy surrounding the World Champion, but whatever the case, the two rolling lariats followed by a CRUSHING Whitemist Bomb silenced the brash young man and gave Urani another major victory. Unusually for the Thief, this match turned into a brawl up and down the ring, and Telan seemed determined to keep him down. But just like so many times before, the Phantom Thief bounced back in a roaring comeback that culminated in a big-time Fire Star Splash, and once again, steals the match and the shot at Urani's title... can he perform better against the powerhouse this time? From the bell, Shiana looked like she was in trouble. Managing to score a few good strikes, Alex slowly began to take control, wrenching the champion back in her familiar cross-arm camel clutch more than once, landing a pair of Stunners that seemed destined to put Shiana down... but it was the piledriver that spelled the end, laying Shiana out for the finish and giving Alex the chance she wanted: skipping the battle royal and getting a shot at the champion directly. Could Alex be the one that dethrones the Queen? Promos Fenix Oscuro It's unclear where Oscuro is now. There's only a faint light, not enough to see her face... though her mask sits on a nearby table, perhaps clarifying the reason she's sitting in the dark. <My name is Fenix Oscuro. It is the only name you will know. And as you now have found out... I consider Eri Sentarl my greatest enemy. But you don't understand why... because you don't know her like I do.> She takes a long, deep breath... and when she speaks again, it's in English, rather than Spanish.
"Eri should hear this for herself... and as I know your Spanish is worse than a child's, I will humor you.
Why do I hate you, Eri Sentarl? Why do I choose to come after you, of all people? Because the Eri Sentarl I know is not the same woman these people have come to love. The Eri I met... is a much, much different sort. You came to Mexico, a few years ago, to continue your training. And I knew... the moment I laid eyes on you, that you were going to cause problems. Not only for me. For everyone. For all the students... you came in with an attitude from day one. An attitude that told me you thought you were better than everyone around you. You tried to sabotage every other student at least once... but no one, NO ONE more than me.
You were arrogant. You ensured that I got no opportunities of my own. You tried to end my career because you were jealous of what I could become. And now it's come back to haunt you. I'm here to make sure you never have a moment's peace for what you did to me. For what you tried to do. I will put an end to all of this and force you to face your past. This image you've crafted for yourself... I'll shatter it in front of all of your adoring fans. And then... I will rise to the heights you tried to keep from me.
From this day forward, Eri, you will never know peace. I will crush you. I will hurt you, I will make you plead, cry, beg for mercy... and even then, I will DENY it, because you deserve none. I know the real Eri Sentarl. I know who you are. I know what you've done. And nothing can change that... nothing you do will ever forgive it.
I am Fenix Oscuro. And your life as you know it is over."

Proving Ground is fast approaching, and with the 49th Parallel in full swing... well, Phoenix Rising may be hosting the biggest tournament ever but they're sure as hell not going on hiatus during it. Pre-Show: Anna Bryant vs. Layla Al-Amin Pre-Show: Argent vs. Telan Kintelas Pre-Show: Silver Hawk vs. The Phantom Thief Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Cassie Rose (Qualifier) Rachel White vs. Anari Lynn Heyward (Qualifier) The Muscle Machines vs. Kanjirin Tonorian and Mallory Spaulding Kellaron Sentarl vs. Elly Blackwood Natasha Clover vs. Rin Ryusaki The Limbtakers vs. Vivian Forester and Felice Santana Allison Avery vs. Mercy Devine Blake Dynamite vs. Todd Colton Fresh off a heartbreaking first-round defeat in the 49th, Anna Bryant returns to Proving Ground to square off with Layla Al-Amin. Anna's technical skill clashes with Layla's wild high-flying offense, as both women aim to prove they're better than their qualifier matches suggested.
Argent makes another of his sporadic appearances on this pre-show, taking on Telan Kintelas, who was left frustrated last week after falling to the Phantom Thief. Telan now has to refocus himself and step up against the dangerous powerhouse.
The Phantom Thief is set to challenge Urani Whitemist... but first, he'll take on the ever-popular SILVER HAWK, who has been on quite the run since he added a new set of gear to his wardrobe. A win by Silver Hawk here would be huge for his prospects...
Listalva Anne Heyward returns to Proving Ground for the first time since her defeat at Sky's The Limit. Rather than seeking a rematch for her lost title, she aims to earn her way into the battle royal by taking down Cassie Rose... can Queen Anne get herself back on track?
Anari Lynn Heyward isn't content with simply earning a shot at the Inspire Champion: she wants it all. She'll face off with Rachel White this week in the hopes that she can get a chance at the Women's Championship... but if not, there's always her match with Natasha Clover on the horizon.
The Muscle Machines are being given an opportunity this week: taking on the tag team champions. A win here would not only raise the stock of the Machines, but prove that Mallory and Kanjirin are NOT an unstoppable force...
Kellaron Sentarl is hot off a major victory in the 49th Parallel tournament, winning his first-round match with Winifred Wright. Now he sets his sights on an even more dangerous opponent: Elly Blackwood. Rumor has it that Elly has been scouted for something recently, but we only have that much to go on as a rumor... it's hard to tell who or what might be happening with the Invincible star of Proving Ground.
Natasha Clover's arrogance got her in trouble last time out... now she looks to re-establish herself as the champion against Rin Ryusaki. This match is more personal than Natasha would like to admit: Rin was the other reason she was pulled from the inaugural Inspire battle royal, and the champ is eager to return the favor.
The Limbtakers fell back to earth after their stunning win over the Excellent Blades, and now have to get back on track against Vivian Forester and Felice Santana. Can the Limbtakers finally begin to live up to their name again?
Both Allison Avery and Mercy Devine qualified for the battle royal: but now they step up against each other to stay sharp ahead of that match. This will be swift, it will be brutal, and it may set the tone for the match in two weeks...
Todd Colton is riding high on a wave of momentum. He seems to believe he can do no wrong, now... winning his way into the ZIP tournament, winning his match last week over Silver Hawk, and generally, just being a real bastard about it all. But Blake Dynamite seems poised to bring the Obnoxious One back down to earth, and remind him where he really stands...

We're finally back to the normal shows with Proving Ground this week, in between 49th festivities, and things haven't slowed down a bit. Natasha Clover The Limbtakers def. Felice Santana and Vivian Forester Allison Avery def. Mercy Devine Todd Colton def. Blake Dynamite Write-ups Pre-Show Layla looked better here than she did at the 49th, but she couldn't seal the deal against Anna here, the Cairo Cyclone falling to a Styles Clash that gave Anna a much-needed victory. It was Elbow City from Argent tonight as he sported a new look, donning the Proving Ground blue much like Blake Dynamite before him, and absolutely crushed Telan with so many elbows you'd think Misawa was in the ring. An absolutely stunning result from one of Proving Ground's fastest-rising stars... but how long is he going to stay on Proving Ground after this win? He beat the #1 contender for the World Championship... and management has seen fit to add him to next week's World Championship match, making it a 3-way between Urani Whitemist, Silver Hawk, and the Phantom Thief! Main Show Listalva was on a mission tonight. Disgraced when she lost the Inspire Championship to Natasha, and sinking even lower in a losing effort against Juliette Erving, Listalva made her return in a big way and absolutely stuffed Cassie Rose, making her presence felt... could Queen Anne be setting herself up for a run at the top, looking past Proving Ground entirely? A match that most thought Anari had in the bag turned into a disappointing night for the younger Heyward sister. Rachel simply had her scouted, it seemed, and introducing a chair into the ring only hurt the big girl's chances in the end... while Anari still has a shot at Natasha's Inspire Championship, she has to be disappointed that she won't be joining her sister in the battle royal. Mallory Spaulding cannot catch a break when it comes to the Muscle Machines. Desperately trying to keep them down, she tried everything in her arsenal, as did Kanjirin... but Gary Gear, barely able to keep himself upright from lack of air, would send this match to a crushing conclusion by planting the young powerhouse with a huge Iron Claw Slam... and the Muscle Machines earn a shot at the tag team champions. A hard-hitting matchup that saw both wrestlers trying to wrench the other's arm off. But Elly clearly seemed the more practiced of the two... and she reminded everyone that she is still Invincible, forcing Kellaron to submit and ending a disappointing night for his crew. Rin Ryusaki strikes again. Proving she doesn't need Rachel's backup, the Winter Kunoichi stepped up big against the Inspire Champion, and reminded her once again that despite Rachel's interference those months ago, it was Rin's kick that did her in. This time, however, all it took was a Shooting Star Press, and Rin earned herself a shot at Natasha alongside Anari... will Natasha's reign as Inspire Champion be cut short in a 3-way? The Limbtakers are back in the driver's seat. Felice and Vivian did what they could to slow the young team down, but Candace seemed bound and determined to finally pick up another win... and win she did, nearly taking Felice's head off with a Stunner, then putting the young woman away with a Gotch-style piledriver. Could this be the turning point, finally? Pure, overwhelming dominance. Allison Avery might've cemented herself as a favorite not only in the upcoming battle royal, but in her 49th Parallel appearance on Wednesday. She absolutely crushed Mercy Devine with her hard-hitting lariats... will Mayday Malone suffer the same fate in the first round? Are you kidding me? All three champions fall tonight, Blake looking nowhere near the man he's been in recent weeks, handed his first convincing loss in a VERY long time, and it came at the hands of a WILDLY motivated Todd Colton. A changing of the guard could be coming in two weeks... with all three championships planned to be on the line, will ANYONE escape with their titles still around their waists? Todd Colton "How long is it going to take for people to figure it out? How many wins do I have to pile up, how many arms do I have to ruin, how many people do I have to leave down and out before you realize what I'm saying to you? Blake Dynamite has been on thin ice for a damn long while, now... he's been sitting on a powder keg, and I'm the match that's gonna blow his whole damn Top Prospect reign straight to hell. Two weeks, Blake... you got two weeks to figure your shit out before I come to take it from you, and stand at the top of Proving Ground like I was ALWAYS meant to." Candace Monroe "That's more like it! Everything clicked tonight, everything felt right. I haven't felt that comfortable in the ring in a while, I'm gonna be honest... maybe stepping up against Katie Coons on Wednesday was the warmup I needed. Maybe I should keep having matches ahead of Proving Ground, huh? Seemed to help us out a bit. No hard feelings, Felice... but I know how tough you are, and I know I had to do something to keep you down, especially after you kicked outta that Stunner. You ever want to avenge it, I'd be happy to take you one-on-one sometime." Mallory Spaulding "ARROGANT PIECE OF SHIT!" The cameras are, perhaps wisely, keeping their distance from a downright LIVID Mallory, who already seems to have put a dent in one of the nearby lockers. She's got an ice pack wrapped around her neck and another on her back, and she's clearly shaking in rage, a fist slamming into another locker. "Muscle Machines... this isn't fucking over. 'Adonis', I'm gonna knock that smirk off your face sooner or later... and Gear, don't think you get off easy! I nearly broke your goddamn neck, if you even still have one, and next time I won't hesitate to finish the damn job! Both of you are gonna regret EVER meeting me!" Mallory gives another roar of frustration... another hard SLAM into a locker, before she sinks down onto a bench, panting heavily, her face a grimace of pain.
