Looking forward once again to next week, Proving Ground episode 29 brings two major title matches, one of which has been hotly anticipated since Pure Gold began their journey to destroy every team in their path... Pre-Show: Fresh Suzuki vs. Felice Santana
Pre-Show: Kyle Anderson vs. Rey de la Carne
Pre-Show: Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Rin Ryusaki
Jennifer Phoenix vs. Allison Avery
Gary Gear vs. Hugo Dirksen
The Excellent Blades vs. The Avian Assassins
Elly Blackwood vs. Argent
Avery Adonis Alexander vs. Todd Colton
The Limbtakers vs. The Sheridan Brothers under Evergreen Rules
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Layla Al-Amin for the Inspire Championship
Victor Kintelas and Kellaron Sentarl vs. Pure Gold for the Proving Ground Tag Team ChampionshipsStarting things off, a match that somehow, apparently hasn't happened... or at least, hasn't in a while if it ever did at all. Felice Santana finally meets Fresh Suzuki one-on-one in the ring, in what is almost guaranteed to be a high-octane opener... don't blink, or you'll miss half of the action.
Kyle Anderson is still looking for a foothold in Phoenix Rising... but after coming off of a truly incredible showing against Felix Santana III down in Santana Family Wrestling, Kyle comes back home to take on former Top Prospect Rey de la Carne. Will this finally be the week that Kyle finds himself in his home fed? Or will his successes continue to be limited to outside bookings?
Anari Lynn Heyward cannot be doubted as one of the most dangerous women on Proving Ground... but as of yet, has never really gotten a full chance to prove herself. This week, she takes on Rin Ryusaki, and seems intent on changing that fate: she's determined to remind everyone that she's every bit the threat her sister is.
A long-requested debut, finally occurring this week: Jennifer Phoenix, recently returned to Blackrose, also makes the journey to Proving Ground to debut against a tough foe in the Arkansas lariat queen, Allison Avery. Debuting stars in Phoenix Rising have historically struggled in their first night out... but can Jennifer change that fate against such a dangerous opponent?
The Muscle Machines continue to roll in singles competition as of late, and Gary Gear will get a crack at one of the fastest-rising talents Proving Ground has to offer in Hugo Dirksen. It'll be Gear's roid-fueled power against Hugo's deep technical prowess and suplexing skill... and the Dutchman will be looking for a big win after falling short to Pure Gold last week.
The Excellent Blades are back in action, and after a major victory over Winter Fresh, they're set to take on a new target in the Avian Assassins. Silver Hawk and Pajaro de Fuego are, no doubt, one of the hottest teams to arrive in Proving Ground... but the Blades have proven they're more than capable of taking down anyone and everyone that gets in their way.
Elly Blackwood is, to put things lightly, in a very, very foul mood. Having fallen short in challenging for the Top Prospect Championship, losing to Victor Kintelas, and then failing to capture the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships alongside Hugo Dirksen, Elly has gotten far too used to the taste of failure as of late... and she's lashing out at fellow Team Proving Ground member, Argent.
Avery Adonis Alexander wanted a chance to prove himself against the best that Proving Ground had to offer... Unfortunately, the best happens to be busy this week, so AAA gets Todd Colton instead. But the arrogant builder can't take this match lightly: Todd has been a force lately, and this is still a chance for AAA to prove himself, as he's taking on the man with perhaps the most momentum in the entirety of Phoenix Rising over the last month.
This feud has finally boiled over into one final showdown. The Limbtakers are intent on putting the Sheridans in their place, and the two teams will face off one final time... this time, in a style that the Sheridans are more than used to. The challenge has been issued... this match will be contested under Evergreen Wrestling's tag rules, meaning no rope breaks, no disqualifications, no countouts, and no need for a tag... tornado rules and chaos reigns. Can Candace and RNA finally get one over on the brash duo?
Listalva Anne Heyward stunned the world last week when she defeated Layla Al-Amin one-on-one, handing the Cairo Cyclone her first singles loss in Phoenix Rising in literal months. Now, Layla will have to find a way to bounce back... the Inspire Championship is on the line this time, and Queen Anne is seeking to reclaim her throne at the very top of Proving Ground.
Pure Gold has seemingly dreaded this match since their challengers began lining up. Victor and Kellaron left Pure Gold months ago, forced out due to Mallory and Kanjirin seeing both of them as underperforming... but now Victor stands as Top Prospect, and Kellaron has been no slouch in his own right. Now the unlikely duo of Sentarl and Kintelas are primed for the matchup they've been waiting for all this time... a chance to put Pure Gold in their place, to end their historic reign, and finally break the tyrannical hold that they've had over Proving Ground's tag division since early August of last year.

Felice Felice Santana: This never happened before? Because I could like swear that this match happened a lot of times, maybe we had a lot of tag matches, but I guess it hasn’t happened before, so um, we’re going to have this match for the first time! So, Fresh is super cool, and I’m not gonna lie, I kinda think she has really good fashion style, and maybe I want to copy some of that some day, haha, but for now, I just have to focus on going out there and not worrying about style, but worry about being the best wrestler in the ring! And I’m ready to do that!
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: You better snap that little twerp in two! You hear me?
Adonis Avery Alexander: Regrettably, I do. Todd Colton doesn’t live the builder life, Todd Colton thinks he’s better than he is. Todd Colton’s not as good as the media says he is. And I’m going out there to prove that Todd Colton is as far from the pinnacle of human evolution as it gets.
Gear: Yeah! Smash that pencil neck!
AAA: That is a given. But what is not, is the conclusion of your match.
Gear: Nah, I got this.
AAA: Hugo Dirksen isn’t one of us, but he’s got natural strength and a good sense of kinesiology. He can launch your immobile ass with ease. Can you deal with that, Gear?
Gear: I got this!
AAA: CAN YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
Gear: I TOLD YOU I GOT THIS!
AAA: Superb.
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: One more go around with the Sheridans. I hate those two. They may think this is good. Make us fight their rules. Their environment. But what they don’t realize, is that this isn’t bad for us. In fact, you just made a big mistake. A big one. Me and Candace, we’re ok at the tag thing. But you unleash us like this, bad things can happen. To you. No trickery. No games. No convoluted strategy. Just a good old fashioned melee. So protect your heads. Keep your eyes on a swivel. Cause you don’t know where that kick’s coming from. The one that puts you to sleep. Come get some.

On a night where March Madness was perhaps the main focus, Proving Ground needed to set itself apart... and they did just that, in a big way. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/394251404Youtube: youtu.be/3ZaaKGv_tfEQuick Results Felice Santana def. Fresh Suzuki Rey de la Carne def. Kyle Anderson Rin Ryusaki def. Anari Lynn Heyward Allison Avery def. Jennifer Phoenix Gary Gear def. Hugo Dirksen Avian Assassins def. Excellent Blades Elly Blackwood def. Argent Todd Colton def. Avery Adonis Alexander The Sheridan Brothers def. The Limbtakers Layla Al-Amin def. Listalva Anne Heyward to retain the Inspire Championship Victor Kintelas and Kellaron Sentarl def. Pure Gold to become THE NEW PROVING GROUND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!! Write-ups Fast-paced, high-flying. We all knew what we were gonna get here, and these two did not disappoint. Felice, however, was just one step ahead this time around, and picked up a solid, brisk victory. Kyle Anderson continues to struggle in his home fed. Nothing new, there... even the new look and new attitude has failed to revitalize his career, and Rey de la Carne finished this one in his usual fashion. What will it take to get Kyle back on track? Anari had the power and size advantage, but Rin was crafty in this one... and relentless, as well. No less than three Shining Wizards doled out, but it was a quick counter roll-up that won the day for the Winter Kunoichi, Rin picking up a much-needed victory. Apparently Allison Avery decided she needed to be the welcoming committee for Jennifer Phoenix... which meant lariats, a lot of them. She obliterated Phoenix in her debut match, much to the dismay of Blackrose and Phoenix Rising fans alike. Suplexes for days, no doubt on that front: Hugo Dirksen was firing on all cylinders for the first half of the match. And then... Gear woke up. Coming straight at Hugo with his brand of violent, powerhouse offense, he bombed Hugo into oblivion, and picked up a huge victory once again... a win that his tag partner will no doubt find annoying as ever. Another star-making performance from the Blades... but the Avian Assassins were on top of their game tonight as well, keeping up their usual relentless pace as they fought to keep the Blades down. Pajaro de Fuego would land a familiar Crucifix Bomb... slightly modified, and the Assassins would pick up the win over a very tough team. Argent seemed to have things well in hand for a good while... but Elly's armwork, coupled with her raw power, would eventually win the day. Once again feeling "Invincible", Elly landed a crushing Tigerdriver, and scored a badly-needed win after two shows of frustration. Standing alongside Todd as always, Natasha Clover was a presence, even if she never got involved... Todd saw to it that she didn't need to. He continued his impressive run, fighting through all of AAA's usual offense and landing a crushing Destroyer to pick up yet another incredible victory... Todd Colton is white-hot since the new year began, and now he seems to have his sights set on Victor Kintelas and the Top Prospect Championship. Another week of frustration for the Limbtakers. While Zack handled Candace, Vincent put the finishing touches on a bloodied RNA, and the Sheridan Brothers would come away with another victory in the sort of match they're used to the most. Where do Candace and RNA go from here? On the heels of winning her first-round March Madness match, Listalva Anne Heyward was gunning for two... and to bring the Inspire Championship back home to Queen Anne. But the Cairo Cyclone would not be denied in this rematch: fighting through everything Lis threw her way, and keeping up her relentless, high-octane offense. Still, it was an ill-fated hurricanrana that ended Listalva's night... Layla throwing her down to the mat, and scoring a big win and a title defense. Here we are, in early March, and we may have already witnessed the match of the year. Kellaron and Victor were hot out of the gates here, dominating much of the early parts of this match, and forcing the champions to try and play catch-up. Eventually, the two teams would draw closer to even... Kanjirin and Mallory wearing the challengers down, and began to make the outlook bleak. Constant pressure from the challengers, however, kept Pure Gold from sealing the victory: wherever they tried to finish the job, there was the partner to shut it down. So Kanjirin clearly had a plan in mind: Take one of them out. A crushing Jackhammer left Kellaron Sentarl knocked out cold near the apron... but at the time, VICTOR was the legal man in the ring. And so, the match continued... Victor suddenly finding himself alone in the ring against two of the toughest wrestlers in all of Phoenix Rising. Minutes later, he'd gotten Mallory Spaulding into his own corner, and with the Denver suplex queen dazed, landed a crushing cutter that laid her out... and Kanjirin, perhaps stunned by what just happened, was a step too slow to make the save. With only himself to rely on, an unconscious partner and the most frightening opponents imaginable, Victor Kintelas STILL pulled out the most shocking victory in Phoenix Rising's history... and ended a championship reign that began at Sky's the Limit, way back on August 6... and now, 217 days later, FINALLY comes to an emphatic end. Victor Kintelas With the Top Prospect Championship around his waist, and both Proving Ground Tag Team Championship belts on his shoulders, Victor Kintelas looks for all the world to be a conquering hero. "I've got a lot that has to be said tonight. First thing's first... Kellaron's gonna be fine. He'll sit next show out... just to be safe. But it won't matter much... I'll be busy defending the Top Prospect Championship against Todd Colton that night, so he can rest easy knowing we got what we've been after. That squares away my partner, and my first championship.
Pure Gold... Mallory, Kanjirin. You didn't want to give us this opportunity because you knew this would happen, the day you let it through. We would beat you, end of story. You threw us out on our asses because we couldn't get the job done... and now look at where we are. Proving Ground Tag Team Champions, the first new champions since the beginning. We did exactly what you were afraid of, EXACTLY what I knew we'd do to you once we had our shot. So enjoy finally getting your chance to move up. Fact is, no matter what I think of you two, no matter how it all went down when Pure Gold was the four of us, you were still the single most dominant team in all of Phoenix Rising.
But never, EVER forget what happened tonight. I stared down the single most dominant champions that this fed has ever known, I stared down the two of you ALONE, AND I CAME OUT THE OTHER SIDE, OUTNUMBERED, OUTGUNNED, AND STILL STANDING TALL AS THE CHAMPION!
Which brings me to one final detail: I heard what Roland Chang Jr. has been saying. The man I'm set to face in March Madness tomorrow night. Let me point you to what happened tonight, and that'll show you, beyond the shadow of a doubt, what you're in store for, and what's going to happen. You're a man that's seen his fair share of opponents, of young guys like me looking to take your spot at the top... but there's a big difference between who you've seen, and what you're about to see.
I stared down the most impossible odds that anyone in Phoenix Rising has ever witnessed. I stepped up against the most dominant force on Proving Ground. And I didn't blink. So what chance do you think you've got, Chang? If you don't bring your best to that ring tomorrow night... I will put you down just like I put Mallory Spaulding down, and I will be the one that goes on to face Wes Wrangler, I will be the one that moves on to take down the rest of the bracket, I WILL BE THE ONE THAT STANDS TALL, JUST LIKE TONIGHT!"

I delayed putting this card up a bit since I wanted to soak in Proving Ground for just a bit longer... but seeing as Evergreen is now tomorrow night and I STILL need to prep for it, I'm in for a busy night. But at least I'll have the card posted, now. Kantar vs. Vincent Sheridan
The Bingo Hall Mutants vs. Ash Defiant and Laenara Kintelas
Eternamente Verde vs. Penelope Lea
Julian Shepard vs. El Evergringo
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. Kevin Royce and Mercy Devine
Main Event: Veronika Armstrong vs. Eddy IntrospectHot on the heels of another victory over the Limbtakers, Vincent Sheridan now steps into the ring with a very, very dangerous foe in Kantar. While the Sheridans were eliminated from the tag team tournament last episode, they're still riding high... but does Vincent have even remotely what it takes to stand up to a demon?
On paper, this feels like a horrific mismatch... but if there's one thing Laenara Kintelas has proved in her time with Evergreen and Phoenix Rising, it's that she doesn't care about the odds. Alongside Ash Defiant, she'll try to take down the most terrifying team in the tournament: The Bingo Hall Mutants. But does anyone have what it takes to stop the monstrous team from Philly?
With El Verde losing in the first round of the tournament, Eternamente Verde has, at least temporarily, pushed El Evergringo aside... she'll fly solo this week, taking on Penelope Lea, in the hopes of regaining some of her lost momentum. Penelope, meanwhile, will certainly be looking to take out her frustrations on eMo's early exit (and Sookie's injury) on Evergreen's resident luchadora.
The #1 contender to the Evergreen Championship aims to keep his momentum strong ahead of his title match with Veronika Armstrong: Julian Shepard will turn his attention on El Evergringo this week, aiming to knock off the man who'd earn his way into the very same title match with a victory. Evergringo, however, will have something to prove here: falling short in their tag team challenge, he'll be trying to get back into Verde's good graces with a win.
Kevin Royce surely can't decide whether he wanted this match, or if he'd rather Rebecca and Sayaka exited the tournament in round one. Either way, he'll be looking to silence the pair who follow his hated enemy, Veronika Armstrong... but the wild-card here is Mercy Devine. Will she continue to stand at Kevin's side after what he did to Babe Ruthless last episode? Mercy was, as we discovered, livid over that result... and the would-be partners will definitely have to work out some problems before the show.
Eddy Introspect is getting the biggest shot of his life here. With Strawberry Sookie taken out of action two weeks ago, Eddy had to find something else to do... and Evergreen gave him a shot at the champ. A win here would add Eddy to the championship match in a couple of weeks alongside Julian Shepard... but Veronika Armstrong has been a fierce opponent to everyone that's stepped into the ring with her. Does Eddy have what it takes to bring her down?

Evergreen always brings it every episode... and tonight was no exception. Still, there was -quite- the situation tonight... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/395682188Youtube: youtu.be/_GxquknDOq8Quick Results Kantar def. Vincent Sheridan The Bingo Hall Mutants def. Laenara Kintelas and Ash Defiant Eternamente Verde def. Penelope Lea Julian Shepard def. El Evergringo Eddy Introspect def. Veronika Armstrong Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito def. Kevin Royce (With Mercy Devine nowhere to be found) Write-ups Vincent Sheridan went into this match as cocky as ever... the win over the Limbtakers Monday night clearly giving him something to be proud of. But Kantar was determined to bring him back down to earth... and while it took quite a bit more effort than usual, he did so emphatically in the end, bringing Vincent down to pick up another solid victory. The Mutants continue to carve a path of destruction wherever they go: and this time, Ash Defiant was the victim, Rampage Rage taking her out in crushing fashion. The Mutants advance, though it was a hard-fought match until Ash was wiped out... but can anyone stop the Philly team at this point? Verde was back in form tonight, no longer tied down by her tag team partner. She forced Penelope to bleed early on, and never really let up, though Penelope gave her quite the fight before Verde scored the win... once again reminding the Evergreen fans just how dangerous the luchadora really is. Julian Shepard could be a star in the making. While El Evergringo is far from the most dangerous man in Evergreen, Julian handled him with relative ease, landing a Destino and picking up a very, very impressive victory ahead of his Evergreen Championship match... A match that will now have an extra competitor. Veronika Armstrong didn't get rolling completely in this match, although she made Eddy bleed early on... Eddy would later return the favor with his fork, and eventually laid the Evergreen Champion out to earn his place in next episode's championship match. It'll be Julian Shepard vs. Eddy Introspect vs. Veronika Armstrong... who will leave with the title? Confusion reigned early on in this match: Mercy Devine did not appear alongside her tag partner, leaving Kevin Royce to the wolves. To his credit, Kevin held his own against both opponents, but it was very clear that the numbers game was going to be too much for him to handle. Rebecca would eventually lock him in the Anaconda Vice, and force the tapout, sending her team to the finals against the Bingo Hall Mutants... but the night didn't end there. As Rebecca and Sayaka exited the arena, Kevin slowly got back to his feet... and the theme of Mercy Devine finally played, the wayward partner making her way out to the ring with a sneer on her face. Immediately, a brawl broke out between Kevin and Mercy... a brawl that Mercy easily got the better of after a few moments, clocking Kevin with her brass knuckles, crushing him with her signature piledriver, and landing back-to-back Devine Intervention DDTs, leaving Kevin face-down in his own blood with Mercy grinning psychotically over him, flipping off the Evergreen owner and the crowd at the same time. Post-Main Event Mercy doesn't leave the ring... still standing over a seemingly-unconscious Kevin Royce, taking up a mic with a laugh. "I don't know what I like the idea of better: that you didn't somehow see this coming, or that you DID and you still tried to do something with it. Fact is, I made up my mind to fuck you over the moment you knocked Babe Ruthless out. The moment you decided you didn't want any Blackrose influence coming into your precious fucking Evergreen. The disrespect you keep showing to the company that I've been telling you to keep an eye on, the company YOU REFUSED TO SHOW ANY RESPECT, because you're such a closed-minded meathead that you can't accept anyone else coming into what you think is your fucking territory. Well, guess what, Kevin... you have a choice, now. You and me, next episode... First thing's first, you and me, one-on-one, so I can break your fucking neck with another Devine Intervention. Second... we're gonna do it with the ring surrounded in barbed-wire... no running away, no half-assing it! And one final little detail I'm adding on to this match, Kevin... one you're gonna agree to, if you don't want me to drive your thick fucking skull into the mat one more time... the winner takes Evergreen. If I beat you... Evergreen becomes MY company, and you had better believe I'm going to make you fucking suffer if that happens. So you'd better sleep this beating off, big guy... 'cause it's just two weeks before I take away everything you've built."

Monday's gonna be here before we know it, and Showdown promises a big night. A World Championship match will headline this week's show... with the Black Dragon taking on the biggest threat to her championship reign yet. Pre-Show: Rachel White vs. Fenix Oscuro
Pre-Show: Les Beautes Blondes (Angel and Michelle) vs. The Rising Storm
Pre-Show: Sophia Moretti vs. Haruka Matsura
Pre-Show: Blake Dynamite and The Phantom Thief vs. Adrenaline Rush
Besos vs. Alexandria Kirison
Tasharun vs. Urani Whitemist
Cassandra Marshall vs. Shiana Sentarl
Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright vs. Todd Colton and Natasha Clover
Eri Sentarl vs. Yuki Maeda
Binak Tonorian vs. Firehawk Sentarl
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Rilantha De Nav
Lance Marshall vs. The Black Dragon for the Phoenix Rising World ChampionshipThe show this week opens with the newly-returned Fenix Oscuro... challenged outright by the woman she ambushed last week. Rachel White was due to have a rematch with Haruka Matsura, but Oscuro took her place by force, wiping out Rachel backstage before going on to defeat Haruka as well. Now Rachel wants revenge for that attack... but does she have even the faintest chance of stopping Oscuro?
Les Beautes Blondes are reeling from the past few weeks: Shiana Sentarl plowed through all three of them in three straight shows, and now the team will have to re-focus themselves... but Angel and Michelle will be taking on one of the most dangerous teams in all of Phoenix Rising in the Rising Storm. The momentum of LBB could continue to falter if the Rising Storm is able to return to their dominant selves...
A rivalry that began early last year re-ignites, with both Sophia Moretti and Haruka Matsura sporting new looks, new moves, and far more dangerous talents. If you'll recall: this all began with the implosion of the Syndicate, starting first with Angel Leblanc's removal by these two, and then, Haruka later stabbing Sophia in the back. Now, this feud is set to boil over once again... but could Sophia finally turn the tables on her former partner?
An odd team forming to take on the new team: Blake Dynamite and the Phantom Thief, both seeing struggles as of late, join forces to take on Adrenaline Rush, who've been off to a rough start against Todd Colton and Natasha Clover. It'll be a battle of high-flying talents here, but which version of the Phantom Thief will we get this week?
Besos picked up quite the stunning victory last week: taking down the veteran Yuki Maeda in her usual fashion, she now sets her sights on perhaps the single toughest woman in all of Phoenix Rising, Alexandria Kirison. Alex, though, was able to wipe out Sophia Moretti last week... and despite a stunning loss to Rachel White a few weeks back, Alex seems to be back to her old, dominant ways.
It's a clash of titans as Tasharun and Urani Whitemist square off... Urani making her return to the ring after being knocked senseless by Lance Marshall's Cattle Drive a few weeks ago, an act that had a deep effect on Showdown. Tasharun comes off of a defeat of the Rising Storm last week, but it came after losing his chance to challenge for the Tag Team Championships... while Urani is still determined to reclaim the World Championship taken from her by the Black Dragon. This will be an important match for both of them... and could decide the future of the World Championship.
Cassandra Marshall has been in a bad mood lately, to put it lightly. Constantly hounded by illicit rumors, and the occasional accusation that she doesn't have what it takes, Cassandra is determined to silence everyone this week by bringing down the living legend that is Shiana Sentarl. Fresh off defeating the entire Les Beautes Blondes trio, Shiana is riding a wave of momentum... but it doesn't appear that it'll be carrying her towards the Women's Championship, for reasons that will become apparent very soon.
The newly-crowned Tag Team Champions have their first match against a team that's impressed in a very short period of time. Todd Colton and Natasha Clover have been a very impressive force since they became a team, and they'll put it all to the test against Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright... a team that put an end to one of the more impressive championship reigns in Phoenix Rising history. It'll be a test for the new champions, though... Todd and Natasha have yet to lose a match since they joined forces!
Yuki Maeda is still perhaps attempting to shake off her experience with Besos from last week... and she'll turn her attention to the daughter of the woman she's most interested in. Eri Sentarl has heard stories from Shiana about her feuds with Yuki in years past, and now, Eri will get a chance to step into the ring with the dangerous Japanese veteran for herself.
In a match that was apparently originally meant for Kevin Royce... Firehawk Sentarl will take the stage instead to face a giant. Binak Tonorian has apparently been thinking of reconsidering on his stance of no longer competing for championships... but his decision will not be made lightly, and he'll step into the ring with one of the few men who can claim as much experience as himself. Still, Firehawk will have an uphill battle... very few have managed to make any headway against the giant.
Kaelara Sentarl continues to stand as perhaps the most impressive champion in Phoenix Rising. She's taken on all challengers, hasn't hesitated for a moment... and now, she has an opportunity to take on Rilantha De Nav, ahead of a major announcement for the future of Showdown. No doubt this match has a chance of stealing the show.
Lance Marshall was perhaps the first person in a very long time to topple the Black Dragon since she became Phoenix Rising World Champion. However, victory came in questionable fashion: Dragon insists that Emma Travers overstepped her authority in calling for the bell last week, as Dragon did not tap out. This week, another referee will step into the ring to call the championship match... but could this still be the end of Dragon's time as champion, or will she bring down the Texan in their rematch?
You might notice I'm alluding to an announcement in a couple of the above match previews: and I might as well make that announcement now, rather than on the night of the change-over, seeing as that's gonna be April 1 and nobody would believe the damn thing (even though I've been making rumblings about this decision for a while now.)
The Women's Championship is set to be retired come Showdown #30. In its place will be a new championship, the Pacific Northwest Championship, which will be a mid-card belt with the same rules as the World Championship: anyone can compete for it. This means that, come April, Showdown will be a fully integrated show. Kaelara Sentarl will be the inaugural Pacific Northwest Champion, as she currently holds the title, and I've already begun splitting the roster of Showdown up into those who will compete for the big title, and those going for the mid-card belt. There may also be some shuffling about of the rosters between Showdown and Proving Ground: namely, Pure Gold will be promoted to Showdown starting in April, and one or two people may drop down to Proving Ground just out of necessity.
Note that Proving Ground will not be changing its format any: it'll still have a separate women's division, the Inspire Championship isn't going anywhere. But with the way Showdown's been looking lately, it just seems to make sense to integrate the divisions... I'm fully convinced that there's a few in the women's division right now that could, on any given day, beat anyone on the roster, male or female.

Another week, another night that left me worn out by the end. Thinking I need to back these shows off just a bit, 'cause goddamn that was awesome but rough. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/397783205Youtube: youtu.be/FfnPa-ZD8NQQuick Results Fenix Oscuro def. Rachel White Les Beautes Blondes def. The Rising Storm Haruka Matsura def. Yuki Maeda Binak Tonorian def. Firehawk Sentarl Rilantha De Nav def. Kaelara Sentarl The Black Dragon def. Lance Marshall to retain the Phoenix Rising World Championship Write-ups Surprisingly strong showing from Rachel this week, trying to get a measure of revenge on the woman who took her out of action two weeks ago. But Oscuro was not going to be denied, and a snap powerbomb spelled the end of Rachel's night. The Rising Storm continues to slump badly as of late, dropping another match to their hated rivals in Les Beautes Blondes. Angel Leblanc's attitude can surely get no worse... right? An old rivalry re-ignited tonight... but the result seemed the same, with Haruka Matsura outplaying Sophia Moretti to pick up another victory over her former Syndicate partner. Haruka continues to impress week after week... but can she keep the momentum going? You wouldn't have guessed that Blake and the Thief weren't a regular tag team, with the way they worked together here. This was a great night for them, picking up a big win over Adrenaline Rush, whose Phoenix Rising tenure thus far has been unfortunately a rough one. Who could've guessed this might happen? Two shows in a row, now, Besos has picked up wins over impressive competition... and continues to cement herself as a fixture on Showdown's roster. Rumor has it that she'll be the first challenger for the Pacific Northwest Championship once the transition is made... Kaelara Sentarl may want to watch her back. Has this ever happened to Tasharun before? Urani Whitemist returned to Showdown with a vengeance, absolutely obliterating the Demon in a way that I'm not sure has ever happened before. Multiple Ushi-goroshis crushing the Demon's neck, before Urani came off the top (!) with a crushing moonsault that put this match to a shocking early end. Shiana was either distracted or slightly overconfident in this match: with an opportunity to finish, she didn't take the opening, and fell victim to Cassandra's brutal Wheelbarrow Driver, giving the young Texan a very convincing victory over the veteran. Yet, while Shiana was still recovering in the ring, trouble brewed: Les Beautes Blondes made their second appearance of the night, the trio ganging up on an exhausted Shiana, threatening to destroy her in a three-on-one beatdown. The rescue came moments later as Eri and Kaelara ran to the ring to save their mother, the two trios brawling for some time before the fight was finally broken up... but there's no doubt that this won't be over anytime soon. Les Beautes Blondes will surely face the Sentarl women again very soon... The toughest challenge yet for a team that's seen their stock rising fast over the past couple of months... and finally, a challenge that Todd and Natasha couldn't overcome. Winifred would ultimately overpower Todd and land her vicious bridging suplex, and Natasha found herself unable to make the save in time. Still, a strong showing against the tag team champions... and still a bright future for Todd and Natasha as a team. Eri showed no signs that she was remotely tired from the brawl with the Blondes earlier in the night... and she took the fight straight to Yuki, showing no fear or hesitation, much like her mother did in the early parts of her career against Yuki. While Yuki tried to ground Eri with her signature Nagata Lock, Eri refused to slow down, and hit the Little Phoenix for a huge win, as if to tell Yuki that the future generations are more than ready for her. Firehawk stood his ground in a match not originally meant for him, and while he'd ultimately take the loss, he gave Binak all he could handle in the process. It took everything in Binak's arsenal to keep him down... could Firehawk be gearing up for another singles run? A hard-fought, intense matchup between these two: Ril clearly showing herself as a step above Kaelara, however, defeating the Women's Champion and future Pacific Northwest Champion in convincing fashion... still, Kaelara continues to prove she's just on the cusp of becoming a real threat to the entire roster. It was nothing short of war between these two, and with senior referee Jon Holt standing in for Emma Travers this week, there would be no shenanigans taking place... the winner would finish this convincingly. Lance didn't lack for attempts, either... four Cattle Drives, a couple of Demonkillers (or Dragonslayers, but they didn't quite pull that off), and a few Cloverleaf attempts. But nothing would stop the World Champion tonight... and all it took was one vicious Reverse Chokeslam to put this match to rest, and keep the World Championship around the Dragon's waist. The Black Dragon "Let me... be perfectly clear..." Dragon has the Phoenix Rising World Championship on one shoulder, the Blackrose World Championship on the other, and she's panting heavily, clearly exhausted but defiant. "Neither of these titles... is going ANYWHERE... until you show me more than Lance did tonight... it takes more than that, dammit... if you want to keep me down... I will never.... NEVER let you take this from me... I'd rather die." Angel Leblanc "Tonight was a sign that you should quit now... a loss to Cassandra Marshall, after you lost focus... and then, rendered helpless against the might of Les Beautes Blondes. If not for your two foolish children, we could've put an end to you for good... but it hardly matters. When we next face each other, Shiana... I'll make sure to finish what we started, and do for you what should've been done already: end your career."

Proving Ground hits thirty episodes next week, and we cap it off with a match for the Top Prospect Championship... with a challenger that nobody would've ever expected even a few months ago. And yet, here we are... that's right, Todd Freakin' Colton is getting a shot at Proving Ground's top prize. Pre-Show: Kyle Anderson vs. Kevin Royce
Pre-Show: The Heyward Sisters vs. Winter Fresh
Pre-Show: Argent vs. Rey de la Carne
Jennifer Phoenix vs. Felice Santana
Avery Adonis Alexander vs. Silver Hawk
Titania vs. Veronika Armstrong
Gary Gear vs. Pajaro de Fuego
The Limbtakers vs The Excellent Blades
Elly Blackwood vs. Hugo Dirksen
Layla Al-Amin vs. Allison Avery
Victor Kintelas vs. Todd Colton for the Top Prospect ChampionshipWe open on a match that could perhaps be a warm-up for Kevin Royce, or a sign of things to come. Just three days before his match against Mercy Devine for control of Evergreen, Kevin takes on the Baltimore Savage, the Five-Star Machine, Kyle Anderson. Kyle's continued to lack in the wins column as of late, but with Kevin reeling from Mercy's betrayal and the two-on-one beatdown he received from Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito, this could be the opportunity Kyle's been after for months.
The Heyward Sisters have been quite the off-and-on team. When they're on the same page, they're capable of being one of the most dangerous duos in Proving Ground... but with rumors of Listalva perhaps getting a promotion to Showdown, could this be the last ride of the sisters for the time being? They'll be taking on the always-game Winter Fresh, and it'll be a test to see if the Heywards can keep up with their much faster opponents.
Argent has struggled from the day he arrived in Phoenix Rising, but here against Rey de la Carne, he could have a shot at turning things around... at least, if he can avoid Rey's usual brand of offense. Still, it's not going to be an easy match for either man... it's sure to be a tough fight, no matter how it goes.
Jennifer Phoenix made her Proving Ground debut last week... and ran into a wrecking ball in Allison Avery. A rude awakening, no doubt, but she'll have a much different opponent this week as she steps into the ring with Felice Santana, who continues to make a name for herself on Proving Ground in addition to her exploits in her home fed of Santana Family Wrestling. Phoenix should have a much easier time of it this week, though, even with Felice being as good as she is.
Avery Adonis Alexander continues to insist he's ready for the best of the best on Proving Ground... a loss to Todd Colton last week surely hasn't deterred that attitude, so he's been given a match with one of the fastest-rising stars in the entire community in Silver Hawk. AAA will be staring down a man that's a March Madness semifinalist, however... and that's at the worst possibility. Could AAA be stepping into the ring with a tournament champion come Monday?
Not much is known about this woman who calls herself "Titania". What we do know is that she's an impressive powerhouse, capable of wiping out all but the toughest with a couple of vicious powerbombs, not to mention being built like a tank. Her debut match, however, will be coming against the Evergreen Champion, Veronika Armstrong... and while Veronika's Proving Ground tenure hasn't been quite as successful as her Evergreen run, she's still very much a threat for a debuting star.
The Muscle Machines certainly have their hands full this week. While AAA takes on Silver Hawk, Gary Gear will face off against his partner in the Avian Assassins, Pajaro de Fuego. Accusations that Fuego is somehow Firehawk Sentarl have gone unanswered, for the most part, but the luchador recently spoke on the subject: "I want to assure you all that I am not Firehawk Sentarl... the truth will be revealed in time, but for now, please try to take me at my word until I can explain further." Interesting.
The Limbtakers were frustrated yet again with another defeat to the Sheridan Brothers... but Candace Monroe gained some much-needed momentum last week on a UCSS show, scoring a very, very impressive win over Minerva Markovic. Now the young team steps into the ring against one of the toughest foes they could face: the Excellent Blades. Thought by many to be the team that would dethrone Pure Gold, they nevertheless came as close as anyone until Victor and Kellaron came along... and the Limbtakers will need to be at their best this time.
Elly Blackwood has seemingly developed quite the vicious streak as of late: a bad attitude and a penchant for wiping out her opponents. And now, her sights are set on fellow Team Proving Ground member, and her tag partner from the ill-fated challenge against Pure Gold a few weeks back, Hugo Dirksen. No doubt one or both of them will be walking out of this match barely able to lift their arms, when all is said and done...
The Inspire Champion continues to impress, defending her title last week against some stiff competition from Listalva Anne Heyward. But this week, she faces a woman who didn't hesitate to roar out of the gate and destroy her debuting opponent: Allison Avery wants a shot at the champ. But does Allison really have what it takes to stand up to the Cairo Cyclone?
Who could've ever guessed this match might happen? Todd Colton challenges for the Top Prospect Championship, setting his sights on Victor Kintelas after a series of impressive victories that have helped his stock rise meteorically over the past few months. Ever since joining forces with Natasha Clover, Todd has become a force to be reckoned with... and this could finally be the night he proves that he's not the joke he might've once been seen as.

Muscle Machines Adonis Avery Alexander: I don’t get it, I do not see why this Silver Hawk is held in such high regard. He might be able to flip around like a gymnast, but he has no size, no definition, he lacks the Golden Ratio. Overrated.
Gary Gear: Hah, he’s a little chump, so you better kick his ass! You know, like I’ve been doing the last few times around! And like I’m gonna do to Masked Firehawk!
AAA: Pajaro de Fuego is clearly not Firehawk Sentarl. It’s blatantly obvious.
Gear: Nah, he’s totally Firehawk in a mask. And I’m gonna break him in two, Fear Gary Gear!
AAA: Nope, not Firehawk. So don’t you tell me you beat Firehawk if you beat Pajaro, that is, if you beat Pajaro.
Gear: Pff, I’m roided and ready to beat him!
AAA: Be more blatant about it, why don’t you?
Gear: Sure! Victor Conte had nothing on me!
Felice Felice Santana: I’m really happy to see Jennifer Phoenix is here in Phoenix Rising, I mean, it’s totally natural that a girl with the last name Phoenix is here in Phoenix Rising, because it’s like this is her own family fed, just like I’m Felice Santana and I come from Santana Family Wrestling, it’s, you know, all in the name! And I wanna see just how good she can be, you know, wrestling for her own group, hahaha!
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Ok, Candace, you did your part. You kicked ass and took names. You went to UCSS and came away better. Now it’s my turn. My turn to help break some arms…and some Blades. And maybe if I do that, I’ll be holding up my own part of this team again. No more Sheridans, no more disappointments, no more losses. Blades, you’re good. But we need this more. Come get some.

Post show: Muscle Machines Adonis Avery Alexander: I told you he was overrated. A tarnished piece of silver. A little man who doesn't live the builder life. I handled my business. But you...
Gary Gear: Shuddup. You try facing Firehawk Sentarl. See how you do.
AAA: How many times do I have to pound it into your thick orangutan skull that Fuego isn't Firehawk? Come on, dunce.
Gear: He did the sharpshooter. HE DID THE SHARPSHOOTER! That was Firehawk, man! Who else survives all my big bombs? NOBODY! Who else powerbombs me like that? NOBODY! THAT WAS FIREHAWK, DAMNIT!
AAA: Whatever.
A long pause hangs in the air, before an increasingly irritated Alexander speaks again.
AAA: You know, for all the talk about how great Silver Hawk is, I beat him with my special elbow drop. And after that, all I hear is "why did he win with that?" and "what a lame way to win!" I just want to smack some people sometimes.
Gear: And maybe finish with something that actually looks cool?
AAA: Whatever.
Felice(and Felix Senior!) Felice Santana, still giddy over her victory, is seen putting her phone on speaker in the locker room.
Felice Santana: Grandaddy! You see that? You see that? I like totally had an amazing match with a really, really good opponent, and it was awesome!
Felix Santana Senior: Felice...you did very good. Very, very good. But we need a quick talk.
Felice: Oh?
Felix Senior: Yes. You have a lot of good things. You wrestle great. Flip around like the jumping bean. Entertain the fans. You're loyal to family and the home fed, and your adopted one there. But there is one thing you are very bad at.
Felice: Please tell me, so I can get better!
Felix Senior: You cannot cut a promo to save your pretty little life!
Felice: Oh!
Felix Senior: I am sorry to be so harsh, but it is very true. You have charisma, energy, spunk. But no direction. So I tell you this. Go to Blackwood Academy. Tell them I sent you. Not to train in the ring. But to learn from the veterans in how to talk. Go do that! Get better! And speak with meaning and purpose in the future!
Felice: Yes, sir!

Proving Ground ran at a very brisk pace, relatively speaking, this week. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/401365524Youtube: youtu.be/pkDfsuuI5oYQuick Results Kevin Royce def. Kyle Anderson The Heyward Sisters def. Winter Fresh Argent def. Rey de la Carne Felice Santana def. Jennifer Phoenix Avery Adonis Alexander def. Silver Hawk Veronika Armstrong def. Titania Pajaro de Fuego def. Gary Gear The Limbtakers def. The Excellent Blades Elly Blackwood def. Hugo Dirksen Allison Avery def. Layla Al-Amin Victor Kintelas def. Todd Colton to retain the Top Prospect Championship Write-ups Kevin Royce has a lot on his mind this week: a colossal showdown with Mercy Devine this Thursday being at the forefront of his thoughts. But it sure didn't seem like he was worried about that tonight, as he took the fight to Kyle Anderson, blasting him wide open with a vicious headbutt before eventually putting him away with a huge chokebomb. Has Mercy made a mistake issuing her challenge? In what may be Listalva's final match on Proving Ground, she went out with a bang... teaming up once again with her sister, the Heywards took the fight to Winter Fresh in a hard-fought battle that saw Anari ultimately overpower Rin Ryusaki, and pick up the win. Listalva's on her way to Showdown now... but can she find the same success there that she found on Proving Ground? A fairly dominant showing from Argent this week, taking down Rey de la Carne and avoiding... most of his usual offense. Still, Argent continues to feel somewhat directionless... something that's sure to be looked into before next Proving Ground. No surprise that a Felice Santana match exploded out of the gate and didn't let up for a second. Jennifer Phoenix simply couldn't keep pace, though she certainly tried... but Felice Santana picks up another very, very impressive win. Certainly backing up his words this week, Avery Alexander picks up another win, although there isn't much more to be said about the match itself... It's a tall order to debut against the Evergreen Champion, no matter how much she's struggled on Proving Ground. And Veronika Armstrong welcomed the newcomer to Proving Ground in violent fashion. Titania showed off some impressive strength, but Veronika was in charge here, a stiff punch cutting the masked powerhouse wide open, and a huge top-rope knee drop sealed the victory. Who on earth would ever think a Gary Gear match could be the best of the night? Here we are, though, as his match with Pajaro de Fuego was absolutely show-stealing. It was raw power vs. lucha style, and neither of them looked willing to quit well into this matchup, somehow fighting on through everything the other had to throw out. But Pajaro de Fuego would win this one in true lucha style... snapping Gear up in a flash pin and scoring a well-earned three-count. Some will remember this win for the Limbtakers, but most will remember what happened after the bell: a shocking attack on Nicole Blade by Ruthless Nicole Alger, laying punches into the woman they'd just beaten, much to Candace Monroe's visible dismay... It wasn't armwork that won the day here, though it certainly got these two closer to the finish... but Elly came hard out of the corner with a crushing lariat that nearly took Hugo's head off, and gave the Invincible One another showcase victory. Could she be gearing up to try and challenge for the Top Prospect Championship again? Allison Avery continues to tear through her competition, leaving all in her wake laid out with her crushing lariats... though tonight it was a rib-crushing diving stomp that scored her win over the Cairo Cyclone, once again putting Layla in line to defend her title against a dangerous foe. Todd Colton gave this match everything he had... but that wouldn't be enough to take the championship home. Victor Kintelas fought in much the same way he has the entire time he's been champion: fierce, vicious, and not caring one bit about who's across the ring from him. The very same cutter that claimed the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships would spell the end of this match, and Victor Kintelas is still the Top Prospect, not to mention one-half of the Proving Ground Tag Team Champions. The Limbtakers (thanks Senator for this one) Ruthless Nicole Alger: Look...
Candace Monroe: You realize how pissed off I am right now?
RNA: ...yes. And I'm sorry.
Candace: Sorry isn't going to cut it for that. We just went back and forth with those stupid Sheridans for weeks because they pulled that exact same, no, you did worse, at least they just dropkicked me, you dropped down into back mount and threw punches! I don't get it!
RNA: No, you're right. I don't, I just don't have...no.
Candace: Now that just undid all the good we had going.
RNA: I know.
Candace: Don't even start crying.
RNA: I'm...not. But, fine, just let me say this. I worked hard. Very hard. Wanted to turn this back around. I value you as a friend, and a teammate. I was sick of letting you down. Sick of being the weak link. The loser. Don't care what you said, what my dad said, I just didn't hold up my end. So I worked harder than ever. Got ready. Got out there. Got the win.
Candace: And lost your head.
RNA: You're right. You're right, of course. I think...I'm trying to get this, too. I think, I just lost total track of it all. Lost sight of Nicole Alger and just went full on Ruthless. Tapped into that aggression too hard. I did that a few times in sparring back at my dad's gym, lately. Didn't think anything of it. Was glad I was finally living up to my name. But if you're still wanting to do this, I'll work even harder. To contain the Ruthless side, and stop losing control when I need to be, you know, normal again. I promise it.
Candace: You know what, two weeks until the next Proving Ground. You want to fix this by then, maybe I'll consider it. But if you can't, we're done. Period. And either way, you better be ready, because the Blades are going to be gunning for you...and me. I'll handle it myself if I have to, but maybe I don't want to have to do that. I hope I can trust you, because if I can't, I promise I'll be the one who doesn't stop after the bell. Allison Avery "Y'know, last couple of shows I'm hearin' that I'm blastin' through people too damn fast. Like I'm suppose to slow down and let ya' breathe? Not a chance in hell, sunshine, if you can't take the heat of what my lariats are packin', you might as well turn around and head home. Be a damn critic all you want... but it ain't gonna change the fact that in two weeks, you're gonna see a brand-new Inspire Champion, and li'l Layla is gonna be left lookin' up at the lights tryin' to figure out what hit her." Victor Kintelas "You've come a long way, Todd, from the first time you stepped into a Proving Ground ring. Mouthing off to the wrong people. Getting your ass beat on a regular basis, because you couldn't keep your mouth shut. But you didn't do any of that here... you came in, you stepped up, and you gave me all you had.
It's not your time yet, to hold this title. But you proved one thing, that there's something in you besides the loudmouth, obnoxious jackass we've gotten to know. Who would've thought Natasha would actually be a good influence on your dumb ass. Go figure. Keep stepping up. And find your way to the top of the mountain again. I'll be waiting for you." Evergreen this Thursday, putting the card here now because it's so close. El Verde vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Kantar vs. P-Dogg (PEWA)
Penelope Lea vs. Mina Fitsharris
Laenara Kintelas vs. Lash (Blackrose)
Tag Team Tournament Finals: The Bingo Hall Mutants vs. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito

Mercy Devine "So... fun fact. We, uh, thought we had enough barbed-wire for this thing. Figured it'd be fine, that everything would go nice and smooth, but y'know. This is fucking Evergreen, run by a power-hungry asshole that wouldn't know the word 'partnership' if it was beating him over the fucking head with an exploding two-by-four. So it turns out we can't do the proper barbed-wire match like we expected, THANK YOU, KEVIN.
But what we can do is still have another sort of deathmatch. Normal ropes, but surrounded by explosives... don't fucking ask me why we can do that but not some friggin' barbed-wire, I told you Kevin's a moron, right? That and I guess we had this shit in storage or... something. Maybe leftovers from the qualifier we had for that deathmatch tournament a few months back, I dunno.
So the environment changes... but the result isn't gonna be any different. I'm gonna leave you fucking laid out, Kevin, I'm gonna take Evergreen for myself, and show you exactly what this company could be in the hands of someone that actually knows what the fuck they're doing. I'm smarter than you. I'm more ruthless than you. And I am willing to do anything, and EVERYTHING to make sure that at the end of the night... you'll never bother me again."

P-Dogg P-Dogg: Yo, this the PEWA OG C-H-A-M-P checkin' in on the Evergreen scene. Hell, I ain't no rapper, but that doesn't mean this Philly Original doesn't sling some rhymes around. So, Kantar, you're the next big thing around here, are you? You busted up my boy Stu real nice! Hah, I don't give a shit about Stu, so that's ok, so I ain't here to get revenge or anything stupid like that. But what I am here to do, is to give you a reality check! I was the first champ back in '99, that's ninteen ninety nine, the year we all thought the millennium was gonna kill all our computers and Prince was partying it down! I been doin' this for a long, long time. Back when your mama put your diapers on, I was kickin' ass and takin' names! So you think you're smashin' your way right through anyone from the PEWA? Think again, big man! Take your best shot! I'll dish it right back, with fries and a drink! And then you'll know what it's like to throw bones with an Original!
Mina Mina Fitsharris: I like this. Art and Peg are back at home with Kev, I don't have to hear Juliette tell me what she wants to do with me after the show once again, and I can just clear my head and get to doing what I do best. And that's fighting good opponents in rough matches. Penelope, I've seen you before, you're good, nobody's doubting that. Pretty sure you've seen what I do out there, too. So, let's not do the fake hype thing. No need for any of that. You, me, we're just going to go out there, and give the people a good bloody fight. That's all they want, and that's all they're gonna get.
Bingo Hall Mutants Rampage Rage: We got one more match to go.
Skullface Killah: One more match!
Rampage: And then we take home the prize.
Skullface: Get that win!
Rampage: And we'll show everyone why the Bingo Hall Mutants should be the top ranked team, period!
Skullface: Numbah one!
Rampage: We don't screw around. We don't do any fancy flips. No BS little wristlocks. We just go out there, and paint the ring red with your blood.
Skullface: Kill you dead!
Rampage: What he said, what he said.

The very foundation of Evergreen has been shaken. All hell broke loose tonight, and for a lot of people, it didn't end well. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/402810283Youtube: youtu.be/bZFrY_Fvmt8Quick Results El Verde def. The Sheridan Brothers Kantar def. P-Dogg Mina Fitsharris def. Penelope Lea Lash def. Laenara Kintelas The Bingo Hall Mutants def. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito to become the FIRST Evergreen Tag Team Champions Julian Shepard def. Eddy Introspect and Veronika Armstrong to become the NEW Evergreen Champion Mercy Devine (and Desire and Lash) def. Kevin Royce, Mercy now owns Evergreen Write-ups Another strong performance from El Verde, who only continue to get better as a team. Verde clearly seems to be warming up to this partnership by now, as the two worked very well together tonight, and scored a much-needed victory after their exit from the tag tournament. Kantar once again shows that he's better than the PEWA... or at least, he certainly thinks so, taking down P-Dogg tonight after his destruction of Stu the Blue a couple of weeks ago. This was slightly tougher, but Kantar still didn't seem to have much trouble in picking up another strong victory. A vicious brawl right from the bell. Mina seemed to revel in this one, clearly enjoying herself throughout the entire match... almost certainly because Penelope was in this one right up to the end, when Mina stood up from a big kick and clocked her opponent with a pair of brass knuckles to score the win. This match was headed for a similar story: a strong brawl between these two, at least until Lash dumped Laenara on her head, the Phoenix Rising guest landing hard on the apron before tumbling out to the floor. It's unclear what the extent of Laenara's injury is, but she's definitely been pulled from Monday's show, and may find herself out of action for an extended period of time... The Mutants have been an impenetrable wall in the tag tournament, and they were mostly the same here... but Rebecca and Sayaka put up maybe the strongest fight against them to date. Still, with both women bloodied (although so was Skullface), it seemed just a matter of time before the Mutants overpowered the Evergreen team and claimed the tag titles as their own. Veronika Armstrong came into this match knowing that it wouldn't be easy to retain her title... and against the odds she faced, she couldn't pull it off. Julian Shepard was the dominant force here, though it can't be understated how opportunistic Eddy Introspect was... picking his spots, and striking at the right moment. Or, just standing around confused. It's honestly hard to tell which, sometimes. Julian capped off this match by stealing Eddy's finisher, and beating him with it... making Julian Shepard the new Evergreen Champion! Before the match even got under way, Mercy had a mic in her hands... even before walking to the ring. "Hey Kevin... I hope you weren't expecting a 'fair fight'... because you're NOT GETTING ONE." That touched off perhaps the most vicious, underhanded beatdown in Evergreen's short history... as Mercy didn't come to the ring alone, flanked by Desire and Lash from Blackrose Wrestling. The trio laid into Kevin without any remorse, at one point Lash repeating the spot that put Laenara Kintelas in the hospital... and sent Kevin crashing to the outside onto the explosives surrounding the ring. Kevin survived this... but Mercy would eventually force him to the mat and quite literally choke him out. Even after the bell rang, Mercy still had her hands around Kevin's throat, and it took her two partners to finally pry her away... but this result means one thing: Mercy Devine is now in charge of Evergreen Wrestling. God help us all. Mercy Devine "I'm gonna repeat what I said before... I really, really hope you weren't expecting a fair fight. You and I both know that if I stepped into that ring alone with you, I wouldn't have been able to get what I want. Sure, I can beat you on any given day... but I'm not leaving anything up to chance. I needed backup... and who better than two of Blackrose's finest? It's perfect, honestly... your downfall came at the hands of the one fed you've shit on more than any other. Blackrose is the reason you're being kicked to the fucking curb. Blackrose is the reason you were left choked out in a pool of your own blood. And Blackrose is the reason that I now have exactly what I've been after... I own Evergreen, now, I'M in charge. And I'm gonna be everything that you never could be." Laenara Kintelas update Laenara's injury is quite severe... the violence of the move coupled with where it hit, in addition to her falling to the floor after, has guaranteed that she's going to be out of action for quite some time. It's not career-ending, but she's likely to be forced on the shelf for at least three months, likely up to six.
This means, until further notice, Laenara Kintelas is not to be booked on any fed shows. She is 100% injured, on the shelf, until I state otherwise. She will be back before the year is out, but for now, she is 100% benched.
