Arthur is still busy wiping the blood from his face and chest, towel in one hand, championship belt in the other, making it a point to keep holding that belt high as he looks directly into the camera. "That's what it's all about. Greatness runs in my fucking BLOOD. My family name stands for something, you see it? Who the fuck cares about any Kintelas these days, it's all about the Wright family legacy now, and I am it-"

From out of nowhere, a hand grasps Arthur by the throat and suddenly shoves him up against the nearby lockers, the blood-stained towel dropping from his hand... though he keeps a firm grip on his new title. A heavily-accented Russian voice speaks up from off-camera, before the scene pans out to show Sanya Markov, a dark, withering glare leveled firmly at Arthur. "Listen, very close. Your name does not matter one little bit to me. I have been patient. I have helped you rise above your station. I have brought you this far. And I can send you straight back down with the slightest thought. Do not act like we are equals. Like we are partners. You will sit down. Shut up. And follow."

Finally, Sanya lets go, though Arthur swipes at his arm, as if trying to make it look like he freed himself. "Yeah? How many fuckin' times did I have to come in and-"

"If you truly thought at any point that I was ever in danger of losing that match..." Sanya's voice comes out in a low, menacing growl. Finally, the argument seems to quiet down... because Winifred Wright has shown her face, looking between the two without a word spoken.

Sanya scoops up his championship belt, silently taking his leave, while Arthur glares daggers at his partner... until he glances over to Winifred.

"You're a champion now. Act like it." Winifred speaks very little, before taking her leave as well, with Arthur alone in the locker room to gaze down at his newly-won title...

In front of Winifred, in front of the world, you could do nothing to stop Chido Ortega, could do nothing to redeem yourself. I stood in the ring against an opponent who has challenged the very best, and swept her aside.

As of right now, I believe I would defend the tag team championships more effectively by myself. But I won't go that far, not yet. Over the next two weeks, Phoenix Rising will be holding shows that will be focused on those who are not in this year's Grand Ascension... and I intend to hold another experiment of sorts.

Next week, I will step into the ring alongside Titania against a team from outside the Showdown roster. And if Titania pulls her weight better than you could...
