Hey just wondering if anyone still plays Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 for N64. I finally got it English patched, love it, but if anyone knows a good source for creation formulas or really any good info, please leave me a link. Otherwise though, you guys play that? Any good memories? I tried to English patch a few years ago but evidently I was fudging up somewhere bc it patched easily with "ninja" the other day.

Emulated patch or cartridge?
I love that game, the feel of the match pacing, and the impact of the moves.

Oh yeah its an emulated ROM. It would be nice on hard copy but I think I am gonna get a ps2 and FPR before I go hunting for a 64. But yeah I agree 100% the controls and gameplay are perfection, when you play a match you feel in control from beginning to end there's no randomness about it either you suck or you don't. I would like to try some of those codes to pull guys and moves from older AKI games but holy shit it looks overwhelming I think I may stick to standard creation formulas. I'm just pumped about it bc I waited to play it for so long. Its crazy bc I learned of Fire Pro only somewhat recently, never got FPWW until a month or so ago and now I'm on FPWW daily, VPW2 daily, and I even played Revenge and World Tour last night. Just been a fun nostalgic few weeks lol

VPW2 is definitely the crown jewel of the AKI series as far as I'm concerned.

The KOC games are on PS2. They spawn from the AJPW: King's Soul game that came out on the original playstation.
There is:
King of Colosseum Red King of Colosseum Green
King of Colosseum 2
Like a lot of the old Fire Pro alum here, I also imported that series as a must have as well.

I can only imagine the hatred the split disc set up for KOC red and green would revive in 2018.

I can only imagine the hatred the split disc set up for KOC red and green would revive in 2018. Different times, indeed. I remember I did a Powerpoint presentation in some dumb fluff business class in college about how "KOC Red + KOC Green = Best Game Ever." Went over really well with a crowd of people that had absolutely no clue about what I was talking about.

I honestly like the gameplay of Red+Green better, as the game feels a little faster.as for VPW2, its my go to game if I'm wanting to play an AKI game

KOC 2 is definitely my all-time favorite wrestling game ever made. It was also the first game I REALLY had to jump through hoops to play and it was 100% worth it. Videos don't do it justice, the feel when you were actually playing it was like nothing else.

I have a copy of it, but I didn't play it much, mostly because of my not knowing Japanese kinda hindering things. Also because the copy I got had an original save on it. Resetting it would have made it easier to know where everything was, but I was worried that I'd lose any unlocked wrestlers, if there were any, and I didn't want to have to go through and unlock everything again.
I need to go looking for my N64 and the game again, and give it another try.

SUPER-FUN, best wrestling game on the 64 no doubt. Well damn I'm jealous now EVERYBODY else played KOC, so how do I play if I am assuming I can't find a good iso that runs on pcsx or something. I mean, IF I wanna play it on a ps2 what would I need to play a Japanese copy???

This was my jam back in the day. Even helped out on a caw site. www.angelfire.com/games2/VPW2CAWorld/So glad the site is still around. One of you guys who knows how should save it for this board's archives. Not FP, but pretty cool.

I love that site!! The BattlARTS CAWs actually inspired me to work on my own BattlARTS edits on FPW.
VPW2 is great for sure. It probably has the best appearance creation in any 3D wrestling game. Love all the mask designs etc. KoC2 with VPW2s appearance edit would be the slam dunk GOAT.
