I apologise if this is somewhere on the site but I haven’t dabbled in arena textures yet.
Is there a guide or instructions on how I install and use the texture files on this site? I’ve been looking through the mod area but I can’t see it - I’d like to test it out before the update comes to pc

Yeah I’ve got the mod suite installed, just wasn’t sure how to get the files into the right place, and then use them within the game.. I was working away from home when I asked so couldn’t play around myself on my pc.... I got it roughly to work last night on the nitro’99 arena - is it right that I now need to make a overlay for each ring I use and add them to the pane on the left? I’ve got some good textures from one of the earlier post on this thread so the tv arenas are easy and obvious - for wwf ppvs I’d need to use the black parts png for the big garden arena to make it look more accurate? Also when the update does come to pc, would I need to export all my overlays as files before I unpatch the mod suite, and then re-import them when the mod suite is updated in time? |

You don’t need to add the images for the entry, just need to create a new entry on the Ring Mat database window for each ring. You can leave the ring images blank (and then use whatever you want in the in game Ring Edit) and just change the ringside textures on the other tab. |

On the old boards there was a beach-themed texture for SCS arena, with a sandy floor. Does anyone have that texture, or know where I could find it now?

I am confused on how to get the different color mats outside the ring. I can change the railing but the mats are still blue.

It's a different texture you would have to edit.

anyone have any idea why the Mat Texture Database mod only seems to change the texture of the safety railings? I'm trying to only change the outside of the ring area and arena to a gym floor texture (taken from the pack someone posted above). But when I try to apply it the way my intuition tells me the mod should work, only the safety railings change (at least it's using the right texture though). example (look at the railings outside the ring): |

Sounds like you may have a file naming issue. The easiest way to do it is copy all the default files for the arena you want to use, replace the files you want to change- then rename all the files with the same name but with the existing "part extension."
For example take the default textures from the arena you want to change:
Default.png
Default_Mats.png
Default_Floor.png
Copy all of them, replace the files you want (such as the floor), and then rename all of them (even the ones you are not changing)
NEW.png
NEW_Mats.png
NEW_Floor.png
Then move the all NEW textures back into the arena folder. When you boot up the game- choose the ring you want to use in RingMats, and then select the NEW textures in the arena section.
Hopefully that helps.
