Like Triple H, Ruby Moreno is never to be trusted.

One of my first thoughts about this plan was how Corey would react to the news. I figured: "not well" 😁

My favorite HHH moment ever was when he was flirting with being a face in the early-mid 2000's. The fans started warming up to him and trusting him, then it was revealed he had done something heelish and he was just waiting for the moment to pounce and take advantage of it. The betrayal itself was great but not as great as how angry he made the fans feel about themselves for trusting him. That was genius.

I hear Ruby is even smarter though. And she has a lot more to say (two more RP's worth!) - including how those who don't trust her will be able to function in the UBL going forward 😎

And that's after Loose Canon ended! 🤪

A lot of what Arthur said later in his speech reflected my actual thinking about myself. I feel like it was true to his knight character to relinquish his post after "Loose Canon" occurred. But even more than that - I felt UBL had accumulated too much managerial inertia which was largely my fault.

Ruby didn't just take over for purported security reasons in canon. I wanted a new owner to embody a different mentality going forward for me. I'm hoping to take a different approach to writing shows and RP's that can maintain our momentum better even when I don't have the full energy/time. I think it's finally time I improve my efficiency and try out different strategies for writing. For example: introducing more interviewer/reporter characters to summarize some of what is being said and done. I keep saying that I'm going to do this but I realize it's a necessity now after what happened over the past year.

I already have a few shows fully written or mostly written so I'll keep the pacing and depth consistent on those. (It would be weird to see a show with like 3 fully written out segments and one that is just a few sentences lol) But after that, I'm going to be experimenting with shorter shows and different types of RP's.

Late Fall is going to get busy again so I want to have an approach that lets me stay productive 😎

UBL without thirty people and five factions rushing the ring every time someone is angry? UBL without people acting like conquerors? Maturity? Sense? What is the world coming to?

Ironically, that very madness and chaos is exactly what Ruby is trying to stop!! 😁

And yeah, I can't imagine a more buttoned down UBL either but I'm gonna give it a try for a bit...at least to establish Ruby's new regime. Rest assured, I still have plenty of ideas for groups causing disarray in the future! Destiny is done, Gauntlet has been gutted, but there are a few major players that have not been dealt with. Over the past few years I've been figuring out when/how to bring them back in. It won't be any time soon. For now, I'm going to refocus the "B" of ubble into the ring: especially to conclude the Collider Tour 😎

A pivotal RP for UBL. And absolutely one of the most important and powerful RP's from Corey and Xander.

"You talk about how you're not a wolf in sheep's clothing. And I agree. You're a scorpion. A scorpion that has climbed on the back of a frog named UBL. It is in your nature to sting that frog, even at the cost of your own destruction. "

Probably my favorite part 😎

The pronouncements here are firm and forceful.

"You have until then to convince me that you are not a scorpion. You will say nothing to me to try to convince me you're not. You will prove it through actions alone or you will not prove it at all.."

"Now, my contract ends midnight on the eve of the Infinite Continuum Championship tournament. Should I win that tournament, the contract stipulates that will extend until midnight of the date when I lose said championship."

The time starts a'tolling ⌛

You clearly have a ton of confidence in me here too in actually finishing this league and keeping the bite in Corey's ultimatum 😅

"Whoops, Continuum 6 will be posted in 2040..." 🤭

(Maybe you should have had Corey use a legal document to force the league to finish quicker...😁)


I love this part!  

"This was all supposed to be so simple. I was supposed to return, earn my way to a Nexus championship match, and compete in it. So much has impeded me, and this is yet another obstacle. And I will do what I have always done, and endure. Because I gave my word. Because the championship legacy is worth it. Because what that legacy means to wrestling is worth it. Because UBL is worth it... But maybe I was wrong about that last part."


And Xander's part in this RP was huge.  So passionate and heartfelt!

"For all you're claiming that you're on our side now, that you're the new nicer, friendlier, empathetic Ruby Moreno? You know what we didn't hear from you in that nice pretty corporate speech? Remorse. An apology. Hell, you said empathy but you damn sure didn't display it."

Damn.  This hits really hard.  Xander mentioning the lack of apology was so observant and immediately cast a dark shadow on Ruby's intentions/ability to make things right.  

Xander Starr: "And also I'll be there as a reminder. Of everything Ruby Moreno has done over the years..."

Xander Starr: "But also the things she hasn't."

Really excellent RP!!  It cut through so much of what Ruby said in her attempt to quickly turn the page - an attempt that many would say she has not truly earned: at least not without a genuine apology (at minimum).
