UBL's "Finders, Kuipers" has been posted! Match 1 - Brandr Hoff vs. Lokurt Sanders Match 2 - Bolt vs. Kyle Walker Match 3 - Kuiper's Belt: Proinhibition vs. Matsuki MECH Match 4 - Westchester Warrior of the Week: Jakob from Furis vs. Corey O'Brian (c) My thoughts: I changed the booking on this show like 10 times but I ended up really liking how it turned out. I had way too much fun writing the third match and the post-match for the main event. Bolt vs. Kyle is a huge match for a lot of "Loose Canon" storyline reasons. My favorite part of the show was SCUMM mask stealing the monkeys 🙈
I'm going to do OG-Joshi: Maths around this size too but after that all of these shows will get much shorter. I'm going to start trimming the play by play/action of the matches. I will have to do a time skip too. I probably shouldn't have retroactively had these shows start in June since there's no way I'll be able to produce like 6 months of weekly shows leading up to the 12/13 show, LOL 🤷♂️
But anyway, it's been a fun project for me. Hope you all enjoy 😎

The real world goes inside the ubble bubble but is not welcomed with open arms. One more part of this RP coming next week. Also, I've finished sketching out the OG-Joshi "Maths" event and am about 25% done with it.

Part 2 of the Severity RP is now posted. It culminates in a dojo video match. This Loose Canon project has me approaching some plans differently. I've wanted to officially debut Daigo Serizawa for over a year now. He was supposed to be initially seen as Gerulf's ring second in a video match for the Basic Training "Summer School" show (which is now over a year late). But I thought he'd fit in nicely with this storyline. I see him and his stable as a big rival to Matsuki Holdings and this was the first shot fired.

Cosmic K*I*D is sure the popular fella these days! He "welcomes" yet another visitor with requests. This one is guided by the speed of light." I was supposed to be finishing the first OG-Joshi show this week. However, the confrontation in this RP came into my head this week and I went for it while it was still fresh.
No, Destiny isn't back as a real force. It really, really isn't 😁 But that doesn't mean I can't show some of the threads from the past. I felt this story about Destiny's place in the original formation of UBL was sufficiently deserving of being revealed during the month of the "20th Year Anniversary" 😎

Glad you enjoyed it! With that RP done, I can now begin the next step of the story 😎
I still gotta tend to the trees too and not just the overall forest!
So I'm aiming to finish as much as I can of the OG-Joshi show this week!

Xander Starr is an outlaw found in space!
This was an absolute joy to read 😀
It felt like a mashup of Cowboy Bebop and Space Quest vibes 👩🚀
"Council of Alien Warships in Space" 😁
Looks like the "Council of American Wrestling Standards" has been replaced!
"Pretty sure I made a wrong turn at Space Albuquerque"
🐰🥕 He sees what u did there!
This was so great. I'm getting him on the next UBL show 😎

Today I am celebrating 20 years of my original OG-FPD feds with a post of reflection and thanks. Read it on the OG-Joshi forums. or read it on the UBL forums. Also, I posted 6 (non-canon) matches that are absolute bangers 😲 Match 1: Matt Rivers vs. Tetsu Gushiken Match 2: Haley Cannon vs. Ruby Moreno - Submission-Only Match 3: Bak Fu/THRASH Ogawa vs. Kyle Walker/Jakob of Furis - Land Mine Death Match Match 4: Lina vs. Eris Byrne Match 5: Corey O'Brian vs. RYOMA Match 6: Robin Walker/Geese Walker vs. Alicia Gordon/Thunder Strike - Elimination Tag The last 3 matches are speciously 3 of the best I've gotten in some time. Lina/Eris and Corey/RYOMA are arguably the best OG-Joshi and UBL matches in like 10-15 years. The main event is fun and the final minutes are intense. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in these promotions for the past 20 years: Whether you have been a direct participant/handler, a visiting handler, or a long time fan, I truly appreciate you 😀

I'm happy to have been there along that journey for most of the time since early 2006, hiatus notwithstanding. And for that, "we" salute you!

I do not have the time to watch this show right now but I nonetheless wanted to pop in and say:
1) Congratulations on 20 years! I'm happy to have been here for a decent chunk of it and hope things can continue on some fashion for a long time to come.
2) Lina vs Eris fuck yeah

I'm happy to have been here for a decent chunk of it and hope things can continue on some fashion for a long time to come. To both of you: thank you for your participation, enthusiasm, passion, energy, insightful ideas, and time!! 👏😁 That is all a tremendous understatement. I can't fully express my gratitude for both of your individual presences in OG-FPD as well as the specific magic you combined to make with the Lina vs. Eris rivalry. And for that, "we" salute you! Wow, I love that!! Thank you for lining that up!! Thunder Strike approves of the celebratory gesture 🫡 I love seeing some of the "harder to corral" participants engaging in that display of unity! I do not have the time to watch this show right now but I nonetheless wanted to pop in and say: I was hoping the occasion would function as a UIG signal as well 😁 2) Lina vs Eris fuck yeah I'm biased ofc, but Lina/Eris was an amazing match. It really was!! 🏆 One of their best matches and one of the best OG-Joshi matches ever (including canonical ones). There was one funny sim that ended in a double DQ that was also really on brand for them. They just completely went at each other and each hit finishers on the other outside. I was tempted to use it but I thought they deserved a more decisive ending for the show. Still, it was quite amusing seeing them war outside! Speaking of outtakes: here's a quick one from the main event where Alicia may have been overzealous. The quality is a little funny since I capped it from the video and not from the game.

OG-Joshi "Maths" has been posted! Match 1 - Billie vs Robin Walker Match 2 - Megan Williams vs. Kat Black Match 3 - Covalent Bond Championship: Pain Train vs. Snow Seraphs (c) Match 4 - Wattage Championship: Karla vs. Hitokiri Hattori (c) We also have a special appearance from...someone! And a new commentator! My thoughts: First - a huge thank you to Dragonkin for his great write-up for Megan vs. Kat as well as the electrifying Eris promo!! Also thank you for the brainstorming/planning and pep talks to finish the show!
I wanted this show to be big like the first UBL "Loose Cannon" show.
From here on out, I'm really going to force myself to write shorter shows with shorter matches so that I can spend more time writing the overall story that brings us back to the "real" world. But this was a fun show to write and I'm enjoying a lot of the characters and rivalries forming right now 😎

A very excellent little show, getting the OG-Joshi past of Canon Spike off to a good start. Hopefully, Maths won't prove to be divisive. It was absolutely my pleasure. It's been so fun to work with you again, as it were.

A very excellent little show, getting the OG-Joshi past of Canon Spike off to a good start. Starts seem to come pretty easily for me these days but yikes at my follow through! 🙄 Hopefully, Maths won't prove to be divisive. Damn it 😁 It was absolutely my pleasure. It's been so fun to work with you again, as it were.
I really enjoyed planning the show!! Your match and promo were really great and popping with personality!! 😁
Ok, time for an update post. I had to take some time off the past month or so. The resulting e-fed inertia has me stopped cold. I'm also still busier than I expected so creative energy and time are super low right now. I don't expect that to change anytime soon. It may honestly take until summer for me to get any real progress going. I've had fun with this Canon Spike/Loose Canon project but I hit an impasse. Continuing it and ending it the way I planned now feels like a burden. With the project introduced and 3 bigger shows posted, I had planned to move onto a two-fold plan of shorter shows mixed with larger promos. I can't imagine writing those out now. And the short shows don't really hold appeal for me without being put into context by the promos. Last week I was brainstorming and came up with a different story route and off ramp than I initially intended. I completely love it but I don't know if it will be any easier to write. I can probably rush through it quicker than the original story though without it looking like a total mess. I kind of want to get back to our real world soon. The longer we're away from it, the less I feel invested in it. That isn't a good thing. I just don't want to suddenly end this altered canon without accomplishing at least one of my goals for it. My new idea can get us there quicker but it means abandoning most of the larger storyline I had planned. At this point, I think that may be the right choice. Problem is, the lack of energy and time will plague me either way. But my guess is that if I'm only producing like one show a month, everyone here would rather it be a show in the real canon and not this altered one. But anyway, I just wanted you all to know I'm trying to figure things out. I certainly don't want to leave us in this weird story world for too long. I can't give any real estimates though as to when things will start up again. I may not end up doing any of the future shows I had planned and just resolve this story with a few RP's. Or I may use them to lead to one final show and get back to normalcy afterward. One thing is for sure: Cosmic K*I*D will go down in history as a Destiny-level canon blocker 🙄🤦♂️
