I can't remember if this or wcw vs the world came out first but I think power move pro wrestling was my first, vs the world was my second, and either warzone or world tour was my 3rd. Warzone was just horrendous lol Oh my god, I remember being so upset and disappointed when I finally bought Warzone. The online advertisements made it look awesome, but it was literally the worst wrestling game ever made. I also played the shit out of WCW vs. The World and Virtual Pro Wrestling. I never played VPW But my friend and I had a hilarious experience with vs the world. We were recording a match between Guerrero and Dragon. I was acting as Bobby Heenan he was doing dusty. Well he was drinking some tea and it went up his nose just as he was calling a headscissors and he goes HEAD....SCISSORS... it was funnier hearing it but we were just laughing the rest of the match lol. It was definitely a fun game

I would play as Black Ninja (great sasuke) and make ridiculous cartoonish kung-fu noises (such as: "KEEYAII" and "WUTAAHH!") whenever I would do a strike move and my brother would laugh until he cried. It sure was fun.

It sure was fun. Yeah I mean our stuff was just crazy. Like one time Scott Hudson and Schiavonne got into it and all of a sudden you hear the giant in the background "SUCK A D!" Yeah he only said the letter Scott Hudson: "Who just said suck a d***?" Lol then JJ Dillon comes out Ummm Weiner Scott Hudson. Is that your name? My name is Scott Hudson! JJ: " We don't say suck a D*** in World Championship Wrestling, THANK YOU!" LOL that was our JJ Dillon's thing, he was basically censoring everyone and would always end with Thank you. I really wish I still had those audio tapes lol

Depressingly, the first pro wrestling game I can distinctly remember playing was WWF Warzone on PS1.
Oh, how that game has aged poorly (except for the FMV cutscenes, those are great in a weird way. Especially Ahmed Johnson's semblances of promos.)

It was actually Pro Wrestling on the NES. Every time WWF released a game on the NES I always said why can't it play like Pro Wrestling? Tecmo Wrestling was probably my second non-WWF wrestling game and I put an obscene amount of time into both of them. Pro Wrestling was the first wrestling game for me as well, Tecmo was fun but WCW World Championship Wrestling was brutal.(I never got good at it.)

Mine would be WWF Superstars on the Gameboy, featuring a roster of 5 (Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Ted DiBiase and Mr. Perfect)

I still remember the first video game console my dad brought home for my brother and I. It was 1994, the SNES was on it's way out and we had just gotten a NES.
As adolescents, we had no idea what to expect from video games, but there we sat with a secondhand NES that was sold with three games: GOLF, Super Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt and the original Double Dragon. Despite the omitting of co-op play, Double Dragon was the first game we played and we were hooked..
A short while later, my dad purchased the rest of my neighbour's NES games which included WWF Wrestlemania and Steel Cage Challenge. In 8-bit form, those were my first glimpses of Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior.
By 1995, my neighbour sold us his SNES console which came with Super Double Dragon, Final Fight 2, Donkey Kong Country, TMNT Turtles In Time, Super Mario World and ...WWF Royal Rumble.

I remember trying WWF Wrestlemania on NES as a kid a few times, even though I wasn't actually a wrestling fan yet. First one I played after becoming a fan was WCW/nWo World Tour, which helped solidify my interest.

The first wrestling game was on the NES, WWF WrestleMania Challenge, which also had an isometric camera, but the game itself was bad.

No Mercy for me. I had a blast making my own characters and storylines in that game.
