I really liked his work on SNL. Probably my favorite reader of "the Weekend Update" segment that's aired on almost every episode (I think) since the first season back in 1975.

That’s shitty news, I love that series and that character.

Yeah, definitely one of the all-time great series written explicitly for adults. Amazingly, the series will continue its already unparalleled 53 year run without Saito, per his wishes. Given that Duke Togo's missions are as great a barometer of "the times" as any explicitly political daily, I can't fault that.

RIP Corporal Kirchner, aka Leatherface in FMW
He was previously and erroneously reported dead 15 years ago but took the error in good humor, as he was supposedly impressed that people remembered him 20 years after his time in the mainstream (i.e. his WWF career from 1984-1987)
He was slightly before my time so I only saw his stuff well afterward but he DID have one of my favorite LJN figures as a kid. He looked so cool with the beret and dog tags lol.

I've been reading so many career retrospectives of John Madden in the past few days. It really brought me back to my early days of playing Madden '93 and then getting to hear his commentary in later games on PSX.

Man, tough start of the new year for the entertainment industry, Louie Anderson and Meatloaf. The legendary Sidney Poitier on the 6th of the month, too, that’s enough for this year!
