Del “The Patriot” Wilkes on June 30 at 59 years old. 🙁 Yeah, heart attack.
While I don't believe steroids in and of themselves are the problem...mixing drugs like cocaine with steroids, painkillers and alcohol seems to be the cocktail that kills former wrestlers. :(

Look up the Stone Cold podcast with Del Wilkes as the guest, he was very candid about the extent of his drug use, it was a pretty shocking and sad story. He was lucky to have gotten his shit together and be successful outside of wrestling, and he had an awesome attitude about his experiences. I didn’t catch a lot of his in ring stuff, but he sounded like a pretty good shit outside of the ring.

R.I.P. Paul Orndoff. He passed away way too early. His son is saying it was from CTE.
I missed Orndoff's original WWF run but he was one of my favorites in WCW in the early 90's. He had a great TV Championship run and always provided quality heel work whether upper or mid card. He also had one of my favorite theme songs which I still remember so well and actually had in my head a few weeks ago.

That’s too bad. I saw a recent picture of him, I wish I hadn't, he was in sad condition. It happens to everyone eventually, but it’s tough to see it happen to such a historically big, strong dude.
He had a bit of a run in Smokey Mountain Wrestling, so if you’re a fan, there’s a chance to see a bit more of Orndorff there. He always seemed like a pretty legit tough guy, he carried himself that way in the ring.

Honestly, looking back...Orndorff should have had a WWF Title run (as should Piper, and DiBiase have had as well)
I remember Orndorff in WCW with the stupid "Paula" crap...but he and Roma were a decent team.
