I just deleted my save in preparation of starting over with the new parts/moves/who not what else in the NJPW dlc. But, before that, I really liked concentrating on different eras, and having multiple versions of wrestlers with different stats and costumes and moves. I hate having one edit that includes Surfer Sting, Crow Sting, Wolfpac Sting, & TNA Sting for instance. They should have pretty different styles IMO. Even WWE Finn Balor, I made a separate edit for the Demon King with different taunts and higher stats, etc. I know some edit makers like Rev, DJKM, & Howdy are pretty big into making era specific edits. So who does everyone end up with the most alts for?
I had a TON for Hulk Hogan.
1- Memphis Terry Boulder 2- Georgia Sterling Golden 3- early heel WWF Hulk Hogan w/ Freddie Blassie 4- "Ichiban" NJPW Hulk Hogan 5- AWA Hulk Hogan ("Proto-Hulkamania") 6- Hulk Hogan (Classic WWF babyface version) 7- Hulk Hogan (post Mania 6, thinner, slightly lower stats, "passed the torch, brother") 8- WCW Hulk Hogan (Including War Games camo & "Hogan Black" for Dungeon of Doom Giant feud) 9- nWo Hollywood Hulk Hogan (including toupe look and Bash at the Beach heel turn) 10- nWo Hollywood Hogan (I break my rosters into eras, so this is really just a "Fall of WCW version. Mostly costume changes. Hogan & Rodman, Wolfpac colors) 11- WCW Hulk Hogan (99-2000 Hulk return. Plus, F.U.N.B. look) 12- XWF Hulk Hogan (Lower stats cause no one was trying and no fans were watching) 13- WWF/nWo Hollywood Hogan 14- Hulk Still Rules (post Rock match) 15- WWF Mr. America 16- "Hulkamania Tour" Hulk Hogan (sad old man vs sad old man Flair version. Flair's ass not included) 17- TNA Hulk Hogan (street clothes management look, occasional sad old man matches.) 18- WWE special guest/"manager" Hulk Hogan
18 versions of dude I'm really not even that big of a fan of. I'm just a OCD completionist. Would've been 20 but I never could find a good version of Super Destroyer and I never got around to making Hulk Machine.
I also had a ton of Stings, Benoits, Foleys, Undertakers, Vaders, Mutas, & Hardy Boys. WrestleCrappers like Bastion Booger, Beefcake, and Tenta get a lot too just for having a bunch of goofy gimmicks. Even with basically unlimited space, I feel bad having so many Ed Leslie's.

It seems silly now to have old costumes on an edit when having a new edit with all different stats, moves and CPU Logic is easy to do with the near unlimited space. I guess we are just use to that format with this game and other games doing it.
Right now just a few Kanes and Undertakers at the most for me, but eventually I will have several versions of a lot of wrestlers organized out. All with different moves and Logic, and THEME music.

I have like maybe 40 "real life" edits and none of them are dupes.
I have over 800 original edits though (none of them are dupes either, unless you count wrestler and referee versions of the same person :P)

I'm not a big fan of different edits for the same wrestler unless there is a HUGE difference in their moveset, logic, or place on the card. Three is usually my cap. I have three Undertakers, Eddy/Eddie Guerreros, Steve Austins, and CM Punks. I have two: Triple H, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit (one Wild Pegasus, Pegasus Kid), Booker T, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan, Chris Daniels/Curry Man, and a few others.
This also helps when the game is updated so I don't have to go back and edit 10-15 of the same wrestler. I have a hard enough time updating my 1000+ edits as is with each update.
I had multiple edits for some guys on FPR/FPZ that I have compiled into one edit this time around, including: Mick Foley, Samoa Joe, Kane, Brian Pillman.

I try not to have too many distinct versions of the same person because then it gets hard to keep track of what changes I've made to who and so on. But I do have different edits of Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Scott Steiner, Shawn Michaels and Sting, just for different costumes. I have an alternate Undertaker to reflect his original "zombie" character, and a midcarder HHH and Rock, but haven't re-activated them yet.
Oh, I have two edits of Hogan to reflect his "Immortal" 80's character and the cheating, weak 90's "Hollywood" version who won through interference and other tactics. (Hollywood Hogan also has a "skinny with yellow wristbands" outfit to reflect his weak mid-90's WWF and WCW versions who screwed up both WCW and WWF and who the fans turned on, so he looks like the Immortal but has little muscle and cheats his ass off and gets booed)

On my save I have... 3 Hogans (Japanese, American, Hollywood Hogan), and 4 Mutohs (early career, early 90s, Natural Born Master, modern). Two Shawns (1990s, modern), two Takers (1990s, modern), uhhh...

Im down with one edit now that the attire extension mod is a thing. If there are big differences in move sets I will break edits out or ANY name change so John Tenta, when made will have many versions. As of right now the most I have is 2 of a few guys and I'm embarrassed to say this but Tony Stetson is the most with 3 face version, heel version and Broad Street Bully.

Three duplicates at most, that's usually enough to cover all the distinct points of their careers. I think my save actually has four "Undertakers" though (Mean Mark Calloway, 90's Taker, Biker Taker, Old Taker).

I dont have too many dupes other then drastic Name changes & appearance changes. Example Charles Wright I have Papa Shango, Kama & Godfather
This is why i love Avengers Edits because he has various looks thru out a career & ive done some of mine like that if the name is the same have 4 appearances from stages of their career.
Guys like Scott Steiner were basically 2 careers The Steiner Brothers days & the Big Poppa Pump days . My Goal is to have as many different people as i can on the game

Whoever got the most edits in the FP Anthology..I think Misawa? I have a bunch of him, Takada, Sakuraba, Muto and Hashimoto but I think Misawa has the most.

I have 4 Liger's, mostly because I needed multiple attires. I have 2 Muta's, for pre wizard and after with the masks. But I prefer to keep them on a single edit instead of multiple so I don't get too cluttered.
They really need to make edit mode like FPR so you can browse your rosters and then edit.
But I think of my guys as best of in some cases, and will lump attires into a single edit unless I can justify it. My 2 justifications are if the moveset is drastic enough and if there's multiple attires I want. Whenever I get to the multiple attire mod, I might just lump Liger into one. Same with guys like Undertaker. Have a bunch of attires on one guy.

There's no reason why the team can't make edits like they are in the KOC series where each attire is a separate edit with different points, moves, and logic. They COULD also give us unlimited attires per edit. I feel like four is a good cap for me, though. Otherwise, I'd constantly be editing the same guy to include every single attire imaginable. I only have so much time.

I don’t like having duplicates, which is probably a carry over of 20+ years of having limited slots but I also like it streamlined a bit. I probably SHOULD have two different Mutoh’s but I don’t and he’s like my all time fav

I feel like you have to have duplicates in a game like this. I like my Fire Pro to basically be the history of all the wrestling I used to watch, so my promotons look like this.
80s WWF 90s WWF Attitude WWF WWE RAW WWE Smackdown
Early WCW Nitro WCW Late WCW
If a wrestler existed across eras, the edit will be where they were most famous. But if they evolved a lot, then there will be versions that represent their growth. Not just copies so he exists in all the groups, but distinct versions.
For example, I’ll have at least five Bret Harts. Early Tag, early singles/established tag, Intercontinental level, World Title level, WCW. I’d have a WWE version if that didn’t make me so sad.
