[Two Thumbs Up] As far as a two thumbs show goes, this is probably, certainly on the lower end of the scale. It had some pacing issues throughout, some questionable finishes(or non finishes, but we'll get to that in a moment), and there was a prominent mishap in a key match from management. All that aside, this show brought some quality matches up and down the card, the shorter bouts didn't feel like a cop out and the main event was a properly epic war for the ages. That said, the Senatorial Special in the Pan African Tag Cup Finals was utterly inexcusable, a mistake of the highest order on the grand stage and the two best matches of the night were both draws, a laughable thought to say the least. Yes, this delivered, was significant, brought the Tour to a proper conclusion, but even so I still have my qualms. What can I say? I'm a critic at heart. -Tom S. Hunter RESULTS Pan African Finale 2024: Kampala, Uganda - 9-27-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 27th at Kampala, Uganda Main Event: Senatorial Office Number One Ranking Bout, Lightning Pro Victorious Medal Championship Bout Ajax(Number One Ranked)(C) vs. King Bemba(Victorious Medal Holder)(C) What can possibly be said about this match? Both men hit the other with almost everything they had for an unfathomable forty-five minutes, with only Ajax's avalanche jumping bomb left unused in his arsenal. Spears, powerbombs, death valley bombs, the Royal Annihilation, everything was attempted, and nothing could lead to a pin. The fight sprawled in and out of the ring, and yet, neither man would yield. Ajax remains the Number One Ranked star of the Office, Bemba is still the Victorious Medal holder, and while a unification of the prizes would have been preferred in almost any situation, this one feels less of a letdown due to the astoundingly well-paced action that never let up, that rarely saw either man losing his breath, and only seemed to demonstrate the high level of both athletes. Co-Main Event: Pan African Cup Championship Bout #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #3 Lanna Ndi A fast, action packed sprint to the finish that saw Lanna Ndi blast Ibrahim Rahman with a perfectly timed head kick. Rahman would make one last ditch effort for a flash pin, but could not get up afterwards, leading to the TKO finish and the win for Lanna Ndi, who is now the two time Pan African Cup champion, a truly marvelous accomplishment for the Cameroonian star, and a remarkable bounce back after her destruction at the sledgehammer hands of Larry Washington. Pan African Tag Cup Championship Bout GRANDEUR(Thunder Fist(ZIP Japan) and Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi) vs. Winds of Change(Ayanda and Djeneba Kouame)(Phoenix Rising) The Winds of Change were the surprise of the opening round of the Pan African Tag Cup and heavy underdogs in this match, but that did not deter the duo, with Djeneba showing no fear as she repeatedly looked to strike with one of the most feared strikers in wrestling history in Thunder Fist. Alas, this strategy did not pay off as Fist would eventually pin Djeneba after a ripcord lariat to score the pin and claim the win for GRANDEUR, 2024's Pan African Tag Cup champions. Unfortunately for all involved, this was only after Ayanda was pinned after the same move from Thunder Fist, a miscommunication with officiating leading to the dreaded "Senatorial Special," the infamous unforeseen elimination tag rules. TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Championship Bout Lance Marshall(AFW)(C) vs. Beau Ramirez An inspired performance by the Green River Tri State Champion, who withstood the usual confident onslaught from Lance Marshall, enduring the Marshall Law and a flurry of lariats. Ramirez would then go back to his amateur days to get the win with a perfectly executed Oklahoma Roll, pinning Lance Marshall and ending his superb reign with the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight title. However, this result could be short lived as Commissioner Johnston would almost immediately post on social media that Marshall would be granted a rematch at a future date. The Loop Championship Bout The Syndicate(Mr. Cobra(SWA), Lucretia DeCavalcante, Eddie the Wire and Tony the Rod) vs. Worldwide Conquest(ALEXANDER, Tarkhan the Mangler, Walid Alizadeh and Maximillian Francisco De La Cruz) An immense win for Worldwide Conquest in spite of the official result being a draw. With the match persistently breaking down into a heated brawl, the Expert Clutch from Maximillian Francesco De La Cruz would be the first elimination for the Conquest, taking out the captain of the Syndicate, Lucretia DeCavalcante. Soon after, ALEXANDER crushed Mr. Cobra with a Gordian Drop for the pinfall with ten minutes left on the clock, the Goodfellas were forced to play defense. But this time, they were not holding onto the lead or a true draw, but a complete defeat, and the clock ran out at the forty-five minute mark to see Worldwide Conquest riding out a two person lead. With these results, the Syndicate's next defense will be on Worldwide Conquest's terms, in a best of three singles match format, a horrendous nightmare for a unit focused so heavily on using their team cohesion to hold on to their beloved trophy. Chiranji(NEBULA) vs. Professor Mark Gizenga A wonderful technical exchange between a veteran grappler and one of the most promising prospects on the scene that saw a new attire for Professor Gizenga and a win with an arm trapping bridging cradle. TIKI(Typhoon Pro) with Mistfire Coven(MBALI, CETRA and HOODOO)(Typhoon Pro) vs. Big Stan with Stanford Bradley To the delight of the crowd at hand in Kampala, and the Office supporters overseas, TIKI utterly eviscerated Big Stan, charring his foam mascot head with fire breath, leading to the pin in under ten minutes. Pan African Royale Lilou "The Beat" Ibara vs. Innocent Mugisha vs. Djibril Ba vs. Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun vs. Esther Musambi vs. Wesley Rakoto vs. Killer King Jones vs. Warsan Caaliah Ali With the over the top rules in effect, this match moved exceedingly fast, Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun eliminated in just thirty-six seconds, and Djibril Ba following in less than a minute after. Things slowed down somewhat from there, eventually resulting in a final four of Esther Musambi, Innocent Mugisha, Wesley Rakoto and the sentimental favorite, recent retiree, Killer King Jones. Musambi would be the final competitor deposed over the ropes, while Rakoto pinned Jones after a palm strike. Finally, following a high speed exchange, Innocent Mugisha would land his trademark german suplex bridge on Rakoto to claim the Pan African Royale victory for the year. Pan African Tag Cup Semi-Final Bout Shaka Zulu(Shaka Corbin(Rose Garden) and Zulu Lionheart) vs. GRANDEUR(Thunder Fist(ZIP Japan) and Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi) Another solid match in the Pan African Tag Cup Semifinals with Shaka Zulu coming up short against GRANDEUR as Thunder Fist pinned Zulu Lionheart following a backdrop-STO combination move. Another team that was changed late due to FENYANG's injury, but Mehrmohammdi and Thunder Fist have worked together in the past and showed a decent level of cohesion. Pan African Tag Cup Semi-Final Bout Winds of Change(Ayanda and Djeneba Koumane)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Black Star Lightning(La Relampaga(Phoenix Rising) and Esi Dogboe) Unsurprisingly, these two speedy teams delivered in the first match of the night, but the results were a clear upset as Ayanda was able to catch La Relampaga with a back roll up setup into a superkick for the pinfall. A major win for the Winds of Change, but Black Star Lightning were in good form, all the more considering their makeshift circumstances. --- Match of the Night: Ajax vs. Bemba -While a 45 minute draw is generally considered a match that failed to live up to potential, especially in a one on one situation, but Ajax and King Bemba threw down for the duration, managing their stamina remarkably well for two powerhouses and the end result was a surprisingly good match for what it was and the best of the night. Performance of the Night: Lanna Ndi -Winning the Pan African Cup for two years in a row and dispatching Ibrahim Rahman was the best accomplishment of the night by far, even with Worldwide Conquest finally managing to put the Syndicate in a bad spot, Beau Ramirez upsetting Lance Marshall and GRANDEUR winning the Pan African Tag Cup. --- Injury Report Ibrahim Rahman: Moderate Concussion (Three Month Medical Suspension) -The Desert Mirage will miss the rest of the year on the shelf, and it is both to his everlasting credit as a competitor and a point of shame that he was still able to make one last flash pin attempt after incurring the concussion before Raymond Allen Fleming was able to stop his match. ---

Following the Pan African Finale, this month's Office programs will run in reverse order to give the PEWA its proper week to run the Horror of Hardcore as close to Halloween as possible. As such, UCSS kicks off the month's regular events with a show based around setting up contenders, both for the tag belts in the main event between the fast rising Winds of Change taking on the formidable team of Catch Club Canada. The Test for the Best will also seek entries for UCSS's next championship royale at the upcoming Golden Touch event, with three matches looking to find entries to join along with the Commissioner himself and three other mystery entries. UCSS: Test for the Top - 10-4-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, October 4th at the Doors of Perception in Los Angeles, CA Main Event: UCSS Tag Team #1 Contender Match Winds of Change(Ayanda and Djeneba Kouame)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Catch Club Canada(Eliza Faulkner(MWWC) and Mackenzie Bergeron) Zulu Lionheart vs. Lanna Ndi Test for the Best Qualifying Bout: Andronicus Turner vs. Frank Van Sloan The Blocks(Hakim Fields and Generalissimo Kool Q) vs. Big Banter Brand(Sanem Becker and Virgil de Boer) Test for the Best Qualifying Bout: Richelieu vs. Tomasi II Aline Richelieu vs. Jamie Tomasi Blue Bombers(Chloe Acevedo Leon)(Phoenix Rising) and Khatia Lomidze) vs. Technical Ecstasy(Chiranji(NEBULA) and Blair Taylor(L-Pro)) Test for the Best Qualifying Bout: Caldwell vs. Sterling IV Virginia Caldwell(Phoenix Rising) vs. Leona Sterling(Phoenix Rising) Shaolin Superstars(Gang Wong and Chun Zheng(Neutral Ground)) vs. Bitter Rivals(Minerva Markovic and Ong Daengsri)

[One Thumb Up] No, hell hasn't frozen over, and yes, I'm giving UCSS the benefit of the doubt here. This was a reasonably entertaining wrestling program that moved along quickly, featured some absurd nonsense at the end, and had some good tag action along the way. The Test for the Top matches and the Tag #1 Contender main event added some needed stakes for a setup show, and honestly, I was fairly entertained. Not a monumental effort, but one I'll vouch for anyway. -Tom S. Hunter UCSS: Test for the Top - 10-4-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, October 4th at the Doors of Perception in Los Angeles, CA Bonus Match: Unsanctioned Elimination Tornado Match Dangerous Nicholas Alger, Ruthless Nicole Alger, Thiago Gracie and Jagannath Malik vs. Stanford Bradley Family(Stanford Bradley, MobleyMaxx and Buraee Mahishasura(PEWA)) With the Commissioner deciding to turn the tables on the Stanford Bradley Family, his daughter, Ruthless Nicole Alger, his good friend Thiago Gracie brought Jagannath Malik along to go against his Amaron Ka Ahkaada rival, Mahishasura. This team made short work of their foes, with Gracie eventually finishing things out with, of course, a jujigatame on Buraee to completely dispatch the Family from the UCSS ring. Bonus Match: Unsanctioned Elimination Tornado Match Tough Guys(Anwar Omar and the Equalizer) vs. Stanford Bradley Family(Stanford Bradley, MobleyMaxx and Buraee Mahishasura(PEWA)) A wretched mess of a match with the debut of infamous Kick streamer and general menace to society, Maxton Mobley aka MobleyMaxx aka The Influence, teaming with his newfound wrestling friend, Stanford Bradley and the fearsome Buraee Mahishasura against the Tough Guys in an unsanctioned battle. With Buraee crushing the Equalizer with his brutal canadian rack, the Shaker, it was up to Anwar Omar to take on three foes, and instead, it became Anwar vs Buraee with MobleyMaxx dancing endlessly and Stanford spewing profanity on the microphone. This led to a stoppage of the proceedings as Commissioner Dangerous Nicholas Alger led a contingent down to the ring to swap out for the Tough Guys... Main Event: UCSS Tag Team #1 Contender Match Winds of Change(Ayanda and Djeneba Kouame)(Phoenix Rising) vs. Catch Club Canada(Eliza Faulkner(MWWC) and Mackenzie Bergeron) Although the Winds of Change entered this match once more as major underdogs against the formidable duo of Catch Club Canada, they were nothing short of impressive from bell to bell, Ayanda pouring on pressure with her agile attacks and Djeneba as hardnosed as ever. Bergeron and Faulkner may have taken this match for granted, and if so, that was a terrible mistake, with Ayanda able to pin the latter with a rolling crucifix driver for the three count, earning their shot at American Apex in the near future. Test for the Top Qualifying Bout: Zulu Lionheart vs. Lanna Ndi A spirited performance from both participants, Zulu Lionheart demonstrating his well rounded mix of fast handed striking and diverse submissions on the mat, but Lanna Ndi was able to persevere through some difficult moments, eventually starting off the fourth round with a one hit kill Ikken Hissatsu punch to the solar plexus for the ten count win, punching her ticket to a potential revenge entry in the UCSS Openweight Royale. Andronicus Turner vs. Frank Van Sloan Originally part of the Test for the Top series, this was a strong, confident win from Andronicus Turner, knocking Frank Van Sloan out in the clinch in the second round before putting him down with a perfunctory punch flurry. However, after his win, Turner announced that he would reject a challenge against fellow Sweet Science Society member, Larry Washington, leading Commissioner Dangerous Nicholas Alger to make the following match between Lanna Ndi and Zulu Lionheart the third Test for the Top match of the night. The Blocks(Hakim Fields and Generalissimo Kool Q) with Francine Francis vs. Big Banter Brand(Sanem Becker and Virgil de Boer with "Big Banter" Rory Banner) A tough go of it for Hakim Fields, who largely carried the Blocks through this match, but the former Openweight and Prestige champ could not overcome the odds here and Sanem Becker was able to defeat Fields with her Backlund Special crossface chickenwing hold. The Big Banter Brand are arguably stronger than ever now, with Bruno Ramos de Melo holding the SWA Prestige title, de Boer and Becker ever reliable and Rory Banner calling the shots. Test for the Top Qualifying Bout: Richelieu vs. Tomasi II Aline Richelieu vs. Jamie Tomasi The second Test for the Top match was another rematch from recent memory. While Jamie Tomasi dominated the first meeting with Aline Richelieu, this time was the Tall Lady's chance to even the score, and earn a spot in the Openweight Royale, outstriking the Thiago Gracie BJJ Black Belt and putting him down in the third round for a ten count loss following a standing sweep kick. Blue Bombers(Chloe Acevedo Leon)(Phoenix Rising) and Khatia Lomidze) vs. Technical Ecstasy(Chiranji(NEBULA) and Blair Taylor(L-Pro)) The first time for the newest possible permutation of Technical Ecstasy was a successful outing as Chiranji arrived off an impressive Pan African Tour to join with L-Pro's Blair Taylor to defeat the rising duo of the Blue Bombers. Chiranji outworked Georgian Freestyle specialist, Khatia Lomidze to earn a submission with a rolling camel clutch hold. Test for the Top Qualifying Bout: Caldwell vs. Sterling IV Virginia Caldwell(Phoenix Rising) vs. Leona Sterling(Phoenix Rising) The fourth time in recent memory with these two meeting, and while Virginia Caldwell won the third in the series, Leona Sterling was able to take the score to three and one with a third round guillotine submission, earning a spot in the next UCSS Openweight Royale as well. Shaolin Superstars(Gang Wong and Chun Zheng(Neutral Ground)) vs. Bitter Rivals(Minerva Markovic and Ong Daengsri) Quality opening tag match that did well to feature the skillsets of all four competitors. Bitter Rivals may not associate with each other away from their time in the ring, but they worked as a solid team here and Ong Danegsri was able to claim the win with a Shining Dagger step up Muay Boran style downward elbow for the pin. --- Match of the Night: Shaolin Superstars vs. Bitter Rivals -Surprisingly, the opening tag match was the best of the evening, a hard fought battle on both sides, although Lionheart-Ndi also was a standout. Performance of the Night: Winds of Change -Ayanda and Djeneba Kouame were splendid in their big upset win over Catch Club Canada and will have a chance to take on the best all around team in the world after this win. --- Injury Report Frank Van Sloan: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspension) -The Belgian Uberkicker was punched out of his senses by Andronicus Turner and will have to join his fellow Special Forces member, Mahima Gurung on the injured list for the next few months. The Equalizer: Strained Back (One Month Medical Suspension) -A pulled back from a Buraee Mahishasura canadian rack took out the infamously tough bouncer and will put him away for a month to fully reintegrate back into the active roster.

World Wrestling Daily Digest: Pan African Finale Main Event Roundtable By Kevin "The Internet" Anderson and WWDD Staff Welcome back to the top wrestling news site on the internet, we have the fastest, most in-depth coverage of the business here and with the Senatorial Office presenting one of its biggest events of the year tonight, we made sure to give you, the discerning fans the best coverage that you can find. While we have some of our indispensable articles available only to our Insiders and we certainly advise you to make the affordable investment to treat yourself to the expert analysis that the most important people in the industry utilize, we also understand that we have the responsibility to serve the general public. As such, I present to you a condensed set of excerpts from our recent Roundtable discussion surrounding the co-main event matches for the Pan African Finale: Kevin Anderson: For the Rahman-Ndi match, I just feel that we see a situation where one star is rising and the other is faltering. Lanna Ndi is on the warpath after losing to Larry Washington, and she has a lot more to prove than Rahman, who's at the point where he may be the face of Pan African Wrestling, the biggest star post-Mutombo, but he's won it all, he's just not as motivated. Anderson: As for Ajax-Bemba, I can't pick against the mighty Ajax. He's got the pedigree, the power, the legacy of a true premium star in the industry and Bemba, good as he may be, just doesn't match up. Ajax's spear still is one of the most feared weapons around and if he hits Bemba with it, that's it. --- "Textbook" Tim Dwight: It might be the easy way out to say that Ibrahim Rahman and Lanna Ndi are both, in a phrase, "one hitter quitters." Both of them can absolutely end a match with a single move, albeit, Rahman with his vaunted flash pin arsenal and Ndi with her bone crushing strikes. But when you take a deeper look into this matchup, I think the real difference is that if Ibrahim Rahman cannot win with his series of instant cradles, he has so much more. He can submit people with the most basic of techniques, with his execution, a simple toehold can lead to the end. He is an efficient striker, better at it than Ndi is at anything outside her primary skill. And the true decider is that Rahman is an endurance machine who can find a way to win late into a match and I think that combined with his versatility will win him the Pan African Cup. Dwight: Many people told me they think that Ajax's injuries might hold him back against King Bemba, but I've spoken with Daniel Ness and he's told me that Ajax was back operating at full intensity only a week after he took that backbreaker from Esther Musambi. You can't judge someone like Ajax like you would the average athlete, he's truly a one of a kind specimen. And yet, I still have my reservations. King Bemba might be close to unstoppable when he builds some momentum. He is a flat out juggernaut when he's motivated and is fairly economical for a big power brawler in his focus and move choices. There is not generally a lot of wasted motion or time for Bemba once he's in the zone. Ajax can explode into victory, but he's going to have to keep Bemba off balance for the second half of the match if he's going to do that, and I just think that's an easier said than done thing to accomplish, so I'm picking Bemba to walk away from this with both the Medal and the Ranking. --- "Fast" Eddie Edison: Hey, you guys ripped on me enough for my Quick Picks all month long, so you know what? This is what you get: Ajax wins, Lanna wins. If I'm right, I told you so, if I'm wrong, well, just throw it in the pile with the rest of my picks this month! --- Professor Mark Gizenga: I always make sure to account for my biases in my scholarship and it is true, I am biased! I believe that grappling is superior to striking! I really like Lanna Ndi, she's an aspirational figure and someone we need to celebrate in our sport! But Ibrahim Rahman is someone whom I admire as a fellow grappler, and I believe his style beats her style if everything else is equal, and as good as Ibrahim is, I don't think anyone is truly equal to him! Gizenga: Oh no, you made me comment on this one! You see, I have many colleagues who are from Uganda, many friends, and I don't want to say this, because they will all laugh at me for saying it, but I think that I have to pick their man, I have to pick the King to win! Ajax just does not do great in these matches against other big powerful monsters! And in Kampala, at home, how could I possibly pick against King Bemba? His style inflicts nightmares in Ajax and I think the only way he likely loses is if Ajax fights like his life itself is on the line! So I pick Bemba, and I want all my friends who are from Uganda to know that I do not want him to win, but I am a very honest man by my nature and if that means that I say things like this, then that is what it means! ------ The Pan African Tour of 2024 concludes tonight in Kampala, Uganda with a monumental double main event featuring the Pan African Cup finals between Ibrahim Rahman and Lanna Ndi as well as the double title bout between Ajax and local icon, King Bemba. Along with the capstone bouts, the Pan African Tag Cup presents a four team one night tournament, the Pan African Royal features eight exciting Office stars from across the Continent, both the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Title and Wacker Drive Revival's team trophy, The Loop are defended along with much more! [Two Thumbs Up] As far as a two thumbs show goes, this is probably, certainly on the lower end of the scale. It had some pacing issues throughout, some questionable finishes(or non finishes, but we'll get to that in a moment), and there was a prominent mishap in a key match from management.

A special Saturday edition for the Office headlined by the historic challenge for The Loop by Worldwide Conquest. For years, the Syndicate have avoided defending their trophy by any means outside their preferred four on four elimination tag, but with the Conquest's number advantage at the end of their forty-five minute draw at the Pan African Finale, the stable was able to, for the first time in the Syndicate's reign, choose their own terms of their challenge. As such, Worldwide Conquest will forego the four on four match in favor of a two out of three bout series of singles matches, the most difficult challenge to date for the Syndicate. Were this not enough, the marathon war between Ajax and King Bemba rages on in team format, Worldwide Conquest continues to fight a battle on a second front against the ascendent Endo Shogunate, Ricky Scott looks to insinuate himself in the Victorious Tag Medal scene, and much more! Once again, this is a rare Saturday showing for the Office, so be aware of the irregular date! Lightning Pro x Wacker Drive Revival: The Loop On The Line! - 10-12-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Saturday, October 12th at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Main Event: The Loop Championship Series Match Three Lucretia DeCavalcante(C) vs. ALEXANDER The Loop Championship Series Match Two Mr. Cobra(SWA) vs. Tarkhan the Mangler The Loop Championship Series Match One Eddie the Wire vs. Walid Alizadeh Peak Performance(Ajax, Dexa Jain and Daniel Ness) vs. Bemba's Royal Court(King Bemba, Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi and Thunder Fist(ZIP Japan)) Iceberg vs. Takayuki Ueda The Endo Shogunate(Rumika Hashi, Akira Mifune and Innocent Mugisha) vs. Worldwide Conquest(The Outlaw Sam Hall, Rimi Kondo and Francesco Hirose) Mallory Spaulding(Phoenix Rising) with "Five Star" Kyle Anderson(Phoenix Rising) vs. Ricky Scott Team L-Pro(Kosuke "Choppu" Arai, Diego Santana, Dean Bardo and Super Grey Machine) vs. Team Triple Plus(Ichika Mori, Kagura "Yuppie" Nagai, Porkchop and Mei Ling Liu)

[One Thumb Down] If I weren't biased, I would have blessed this one with a thumb up, but the Syndicate retaining was such a bummer that I spitefully turned that thumb upside down. Iceberg-Ueda and Spaulding-Scott were both worth seeking out if you want to ignore that result, though. -Tom S. Hunter Lightning Pro x Wacker Drive Revival: The Loop On The Line! - 10-12-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Saturday, October 12th at the Kyoto Central Gymnasium in Kyoto, Japan Bonus Match Freya O'Malley(Phoenix Rising) vs. Ui "Yippy" Urameshi A sprint of a slugfest that eventually saw Freya overcome an impressive showing from Urameshi to hit her Lionsault for the pin. Main Event: The Loop Championship Series Match Three Lucretia DeCavalcante(C) vs. ALEXANDER Shocking result with Lucretia mercilessly stomping ALEXANDER's face into the mat with Omerta for the knockout win to allow the Syndicate to retain The Loop against all odds, perhaps the best defense for the faction to date in their multi-year reign. The Loop Championship Series Match Two Mr. Cobra(SWA) vs. Tarkhan the Mangler Shocking result here, with Mr. Cobra surviving an absolutely horrific beatdown from Tarkhan to turn the tides on the outside and pin the Mongolian Menace after a swinging neckbreaker, evening the score in the battle for The Loop. The Loop Championship Series Match One Eddie the Wire vs. Walid Alizadeh The Wire tried hard here, and had his moments, even hitting the Wire Cutter, but simply could not hold up in singles action against the Persian Powerhouse, pinned in a scramble with a turk style hold, giving Worldwide Conquest the first win in the three match series. Peak Performance(Ajax, Dexa Jain and Daniel Ness) vs. Bemba's Royal Court(King Bemba, Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi and Thunder Fist(ZIP Japan)) The fallout from the Pan African Finale kicked off here with this hard hitting battle that saw the Royal Court get a win after Thunder Fist pinned Dexa Jain after a melee in the ring. Ajax would end up going for a spear on Ali Ahmed after the end, and it's clear that nothing has been settled between these factions. Iceberg vs. Takayuki Ueda Easily the match of the night, and one of the best matchups that current day L-Pro can offer as Charles Berg did his best to destroy the Orange Crush, Takayuki Ueda. Iceberg's spear was thwared time and time again with Ueda's great footwork, but eventually started connecting. The match seemed to be heading Iceberg's way down the stretch, but he came up short as Ueda managed to hit his bridging vertical suplex, the Ueda Plex to take the three count for the win. Takayuki Ueda can now be expected to set his sights on either King Bemba's Victorious Medal or Gary Gear's SWA Heavyweight Championship, either of which would be a worthy prize for the youthful pillar of L-Pro's future. The Endo Shogunate(Rumika Hashi, Akira Mifune and Innocent Mugisha) vs. Worldwide Conquest(The Outlaw Sam Hall, Rimi Kondo and Francesco Hirose) Finally, the Shogunate managed to get a victory against the Conquest with this hard hitting, but all too brief brawl that saw Rumika Hashi obliterate Francesco Hirose on the outside with a thudding series of kicks to the sternum, giving Innocent Mugisha the win by stoppage. Mallory Spaulding(Phoenix Rising) with "Five Star" Kyle Anderson(Phoenix Rising) vs. Ricky Scott with Megalodon The Belt Chaser, Ricky Scott tried to jump ahead of ARENA in the hunt for Pure Gold's Victorious Tag Medals by recruiting Megalodon to his side and defeating Mallory Spaulding in singles action. While he certainly pushed the Pure Gold cornerstone, Scott was unable to escape the fate of tapping out to Spaulding's dreaded stretch plum. A quality match and a reminder that Mallory can still take care of business in singles bouts even while she mainly focuses on her tag career. Team L-Pro(Kosuke "Choppu" Arai, Diego Santana, Dean Bardo and Super Grey Machine) vs. Team Triple Plus(Ichika Mori, Kagura "Yuppie" Nagai, Porkchop and Mei Ling Liu) A decent showcase rules tag with Ichika Mori pinning Diego Santana with a crucifix driver, giving the Triple Plus quartet a big win over the L-Pro stalwarts. Bonus Match "Mr. Underrated" Alan Wright(Rose Garden) vs. Astro Traveler A classic Blackrose/Sakura Pro matchup that delivered a solid opener as the surprise guest, Alan Wright overcame Astro Traveler, pinning his foe after an air raid crash. --- Match of the Night: Iceberg-Ueda, Spaulding-Scott -Two extremely competitive matches against opponents who were all in good form, both matches stood out and delivered a solid experience. Performance of the Night: The Syndicate -A major upset win in a match outside their preferred format still retained The Loop, and as such, the Syndicate also win the Performance award. --- Injury Report Francesco Hirose: Bruised Sternum (One Month Medical Suspension) -A series of kicks knocked the wind out of Hirose and also left a sizable bruise that will keep him out for a month. ALEXANDER: Moderate Concussion (Three Month Medical Suspension) -A brutal knockout loss saw ALEXANDER's face stomped into the mat, and the Worldwide Conquest leader will miss the rest of the year to recover.

[One Thumb Up] I almost gave this a thumb down, but after taking a step back, I realized that my critic's perspective has been increasingly inundated with an infection of jaded cynicism beyond the required dose needed to properly evaluate the product. It's fine to wield the poison pen, so long as you don't become so accustomed to its use that it ends up eroding any genuine enjoyment of the experience that wrestling can provide. So, after a second look, I can say that while this show didn't build the momentum to stand out, aside from a disappointing main event, it was a fine night for the TIPWF. The Old Guard matches and the Golden Championship contender bout brought the quality and there's nothing wrong with a routine night out that does nothing more, nothing less than what's expected. -Tom S. Hunter TIPWF: Thriller in Amarillo - 10-18-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, October 18th at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Bonus Match Lil' Lariato vs. Valentina Verda After having suffered the humiliation of a stoppage loss by means of repeated spanking against the EWO, Lil' Lariato found his retribution here in an excellent match against the Virtuoso Exotico, the leader of the Order, Valentina Verda. Lariato was better prepared for the exotico antics this time around, and imposed his own storm of lariats in return. Verda would kick out time and time again to Lariato's crushing strikes, but a snap brainbuster into a standing moonsault would give the Houston native a well-earned win and could go a long way towards bringing Lariato back into title contention. Main Event: SWA Tag Team Championship Bout The Vanishing(Blade Saeba and Notorious) vs. The Trio(The Mallard(MWWC) and El Froggy Mask with Rodeo Angel) An unfortunately easy win for the Vanishing with Blade Saeba pinning the Mallard all too quickly with a high speed moonsault. Dominican Golden Championship #1 Contender Bout Felix Santana III vs. Djibril Ba vs. Florencia Espinoza vs. El Hijo del Dodecahedron Jr. A hard fought match that saw all four entrants standing on a fairly even basis until the twenty minute mark as El Hijo del Dodecahedron Jr. pinned Florencia Espinoza with the Count to Twelve swinging grounded crucifix. The other three would fight in a deadlock until a Santana Special pinned Hijo Jr and shortly after, Djibril Ba would fall to a deadlift German from Felix III, who now has situated himself as the challenger for Salvador Sosa's Dominican Golden Championship. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Wataru Nakajima(ZIP Japan)(C) vs. Killer King Jones(Freelance) Incredibly, Killer King Jones's late to post career renaissance continues rolling on. Jones had an entertaining cameo on the Pan African Tour and seems to have already cast aside any thoughts of sticking to his retirement as he returned to another of his old stomping grounds in the TIPWF to take on the long reigning Old Guard champion in the legendary Patriarch, Wataru Nakajima. The two elder competitors proceeded to demonstrate a master class in how to put on an engaging brawl of a match, Nakajima utilizing the entirety of his moveset for much of the duration, but Jones endured, long enough to hit his Eritrean Cleaver out of the corner. This was sufficient for the three count and Killer King Jones added another belt to go along with his prior PEWA Ruler of the Road reign earlier in the year, now serving as the current TIPWF Old Guard champion. Sung Moon(Phoenix Rising) with Lance Marshall(Phoenix Rising) vs. Lilou "The Beat" Ibara with Professor Mark Gizenga A good effort from Sung Moon, but Lilou Ibara was able to earn a submission win after hitting a sweep kick into her Congolese Crab hold. Local Larry vs. El Hijo del Sapo(Rose Garden) Local Larry the Hometown Hero was a remarkable performer in this match, keeping up with the former TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight champ, and defeating El Hijo del Sapo with a simple inside cradle after everything else failed to beat the Son of the Toad. Felix Santana Sr. vs. Jayne Payne While both Felix Santana Sr. and Jayne Payne are generally seen fighting younger competitors, this ended up being a de facto Old Guard contender bout and one of the absolute best of the night. Felix Senior dispelled any rumors caused by his relative inactivity as of late by keeping up a relentless pace but Jayne Payne not only matched it, but was able to pull off the win with an impressive sunset bomb to score the three count. Exotico World Order(Vice Versa, Martina Martinez and Angelita Serefines) vs. Mr. Moonsault, Poison Froggy Mask and Luchador Sorpresa While the thrown-together team of Mr. Moonsault, Luchador Sorpresa and Poison Froggy Mask seemed enormously mismatched compared to the cohesiveness of the EWO, it would be Poison Froggy who claimed the pinfall win for his side after hitting his Dart Drop half hatch brainbuster on Martina Martinez. This continues a quietly solid run for the overlooked Poison Froggy, and nets an important momentum shift for Marcus Xavier who was in dire need of a turnaround in his early TIPWF run. Esi Dogboe vs. Felice Santana Blisteringly fast matchup that skipped any intermediate phase as soon as the momentum picked up. Esi Dogboe continued her strong run from the Pan African Tour to pin Felice after a running knee strike. Impacto Del Ciclon(Princessa Torbellina and Colision) vs. The Celebrated(Maxine Blaster and Toni Bolton) Solid opening tag contest between two young, hungry duos, but the Celebrated were standing tall after Toni Bolton wrecked Colision with a Bolton Blast arm lift twisting side slam for the KO win. --- Match of the Night: Nakajima vs Jones -While Santana-Payne and Verda-Lariato both were quality matches and the Dominican Golden Championship match delivered upon expectations, this one was a standout even above those, an exciting slugfest that held little back. Performance of the Night: Killer King Jones, Felix Santana III -Jones ending his absurdly brief retirement and winning the Old Guard title was only matched by Felix Santana III beating thee other top contenders to secure a shot at the Dominican Golden Championship. --- Injury Report Colision: Wind Knocked Out (No Medical Suspension) -A slam from Toni Bolton ended the match for Colision, but the Argentinian luchadora will miss no time in recovery before getting back to action.

PEWA President Bodybreaker Brown: That's right, it's that time of year again and it's time for you to feel the Horror of Hardcore. You know what we got here, it's the baddest, wildest, car crash of an event year in and year out that you'll find in this business, you never know how one of these thing's going to go, but whatever goes down, you know you're not gonna be bored! Brown: We start this off with the Night of the Demon, TIPWF taking on ZIP Japan with Abominog II up against the Hips from Hell, Demon Otsu, and you know that one's gonna burn with intensity. Brown: We got NBNF up against a mix of pirates and ghosts, the Pretty Pirates and Ghost of a Chance joining together for one night only. Pirates, Ghosts, D-X cosplayers, it's a whole damn trick 'r treat night right here in this one. Brown: Look, I ain't all about that punkass instigator stream shit out there, but our audience spoke, and we listened. We got the big star from Kick, MobleyMaxx in a Deathmatch Livestream against the originator of the backyard himself, the X-Treme Kid. And for once, I hope the XTK goes to town and wrecks himself a fool. Brown: You know we don't do a big time deal like this without some Crew Carnage, and of course, I got that for you in a big way. My brother in staples, the man with the two pronged gat, Hideo Kawabata's back and he's jumping in with Pay Day Enterprises with the Sheiks and Mr. Mint and they're up against the Most Hated, I know that one's gonna be a mess if it's good, or if it's not. Brown: Yeah, he's back, the man in the mask, and he's up against...the woman in the mask, we got ourselves a whole damn Crystal Lake Killoff with the guy who walked right out of a faded old VHS tape, Cleaver up against the import from the federal prison system, the Form. Brown: And I heard you liked blood feuds, and I got one for you here, a story as old as time, Van Banning vs. Henry, House of Hammer taking on the Amicable Duo, this time, like every other time, it's personal. Brown: We really do have a vampire problem here, but when we got as much blood in the open like we do, I get it. Jakob of Furis never misses one of these deals, and he was especially glad to come back when I told him that I figured he could get himself a match with the Senator Emeritus himself. Steve Phillips told me he wanted a legend, well, I damn well got him one. Brown: Of course, the Ruler of the Road had to be up for grabs, and I'm not giving the EMP another return at that right away, so instead, I got a deserving challenger. Sorry, Tomas, but we ain't doing the light tube deathmatch here, just a straight up one on one with the Masked Maniac IV going up against the Tiny Giant. Brown: Look, Moustapha, we all love you, you're our pride and joy here in the PEWA, but that wasn't a good look over in Sakura Pro, so you drew the short straw, you got the Insanitarium...you got the Headhunter. Good luck, my man, good luck. Brown: Finally, that brings us home to the main event, and it's a match that you've all been waiting for since we debuted the New Mutants, and especially since those two got such a big head on their shoulders and those Extreme Tag belts around their waists. We got the New Mutants, we got the OGs, the Bingo Hall Mutants, and we got a legit main event for all time, New Mutants, PM Carnage, the EMP, the Bingo Hall Mutants, Skullface Killah, Rampage Rage, the PEWA Extreme Tag Championship on the line, and that's all we got for you, so you better be good with that! Horror of Hardcore, Halcyon Ballroom, eight o' clock Central Time, this Friday, it's the bloodiest mess of a show you'll see all year, and you'll see it right on the Senatorial Streaming Service if you can't make it out here! PEWA Horror of Hardcore 2024 - 10-25-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, October 25th at the Halcyon Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA Main Event: PEWA Extreme Tag Team Championship Bout The New Mutants(PM Carnage and the EMP)(C) vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) The Insanitarium Moustapha Ndour vs. The Headhunter PEWA Ruler of the Road Championship Bout Masked Maniac IV(C) with Jasper Rhys(Neutral Ground) vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant Blood Politics Jakob of Furis(OG-FPD) vs. Steve Phillips(Freelance) The House of Hammer(Sir Vladimir Henry and Heidi Karnstein) vs. The Amicable Duo(Victor Van Banning and Carla D'Antoni) Crystal Lake Killoff Cleaver(Rose Garden) vs. The Form Crew Carnage Hideo Kawabata(Realm of Wrestling) and Pay Day Enterprise(Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint, Hindu Sheik and Shrieking Sheik) vs. PEWA's Most Hated(Backyard Pyro, "Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde, Jeffrey Janson and Zanca) Deathmatch Livestream The X-Treme Kid vs. MobleyMaxx(Freelance) Pretty Pirates GALeon Second Chapter(La Corsaria(Phoenix Rising) and Warsan Caaliah Ali) and Ghost of a Chance(Seiko Kankyako(Typhoon Pro) and Yamikuro(Triple Plus)) vs. NBNF(Emerald Santiago, "Total MDK" Taylor Ngyuen, Gray Thomas and DUDE Smith) Night of the Demon Demon Otsu(ZIP Japan) vs. Abominog II(TIPWF)

"Fear factor" *The camera opens to a mysterious, unidentified, and blustery cavern. Due to the presence of a few hastily prepared camp fires, the cavern is not pitch black. Rather, there is just enough light to allow for the presence of flickering shadows. These shadows race across the walls due to the wind agitating the fire. If one looks closely enough, the shadows begin to take demonic form. They then appear to converge into one corporeal figure who is standing by the wall. A cape swivels as the figure turns to us: revealing the figure of Jakob of Furis.*
[Furis:] "The rules of magic are uncompromising and cruelly ironic. The very power to wield it leaves one vulnerable to their forces. I know not how they do this, but PEWA routinely summons me to their events each year. I suspect a binding spell - perhaps the work of that charlatan Vladimir Henry - but it matters little. I have returned to PEWA and am to face Senator Steve Phillips before I am freed.
It's rare that I am touched by this particular human emotion - but I must confess a tinge of jealousy as I acknowledge certain advantages he holds over me. No, I am not taking about his thorough martial knowledge of holds or throws. Effective as they are against humans, these techniques remain inconsequential to me. My methods are crude but effective. More importantly...."
*Furis tears at his own flesh with his talon like nails*
[Furis:] "They are satisfying."
*Furis smiles as the blood freely flows from the new wound.*
[Furis:] "Rather, I speak of fear. Creatures like myself derive a portion of our strength from the fear of humans faced with our existence. And vhile many still pay me this tribute, there exists another source of soulless dread that has eclipsed me. There is nothing scarier to people today than...a politician! For that particular class of blood suckers, a mare sarboatare - or great fest - awaits in two veeks that vill fill them with indescribable power! The Senator belongs to this rapturous coven and vill summon the great 'election' to oppress the villagers.
Meanvhile, my ability to elicit fears fades for two reasons beyond my control."
*Furis peers in the direction of an opening to the cavern, where one can see the light of the moon.*
[Furis:] "It is a modern myth that verevolves are the only creature affected by the moon. In the olde tales, the ones based on fact rather than literary fancy, a vampyre's connection to the cycles of the moon was acknowledged. It vas but a veek ago that ve vere graced by the Full Hunter's Moon. It has vaned since, a fact that Phillips undoubtedly considered when choosing the date for our match.
Secondly, ve are approaching the human holy days of All Hallows Eve and Day of the Dead. These occasions fill me with disgust as they represent mortal courage against the fear my kind has wrought since the dawn of time. They defame us with costumery, defy us by vandering at midnight, and dare to look into the eyes of death. The fear we generate reaches a nadir, much as the cycle of the moon."
*Furis appears very frustrated but then his expression turns to anger.*
[Furis:] "And this is vhy the people fear the politician - they dictate the terms to create an uneven playing field. A vaning moon amongst holy days mere days before their great feast. I could not imagine more favorable terms for Phillips!"
*A pensive looks suddenly appears on his face.*
[Furis:] "And yet...the full picture eludes him, for he does not anticipate the severity of the recourse I must now take."
*A disturbing grin slowly spreads across his face as he bares his fangs.*
[Furis:] "Fear of my kind vill never be fully eliminated. But every century or two, humans - foolishly delusional over the value of their achievements - gain a small victory over fear and try to leave the cave of shadows. So then, what leads to the inevitable return of our existence? After all, ve are still spoken of, correct? Even after the so-called 'Enlightenment,' vhy are humans so preoccupied with telling our stories to each other? Why do they begin to fear us again if they have seemingly conquered it?"
*Furis valks....walks over to the side of the cave and grabs a man who has been bound in bandages over his entire body except for his head. His eyes are bloodshot and frightened while his neck has clear lacerations. You can hear him trying to scream but a rag in his mouth muffles the sound. Furis holds him up and taps the outer ridge of his hand against the man's neck, stimulating the blood vessels. Furis then smiles at the camera.*
[Furis:] "Vhat type of monstrous act does it take to get back in the 'good graces' of human fear? How do ve climb back to our rightful place at the top of the mountain, valking over the backs of politicians, economists, and entrepreneurs? On what grand stage must ve do so for the vorld to remember how dangerous ve are? And just who must be the sacrificial lamb for the offering?"
*Furis starts to point to the man but then points to the camera instead.*
[Furis:] "Steve Phillips - the laws of your country vill not protect you from the laws of nature. The strong survive and prosper by eating the veak. Vwen humans remember their humble place in the food chain, they vill vonce again taste the sweet embrace of fear.
My advice to you all - Don't fill up on candy first."
*Furis begins to bite the man's neck as the broadcast immediately cuts to static.*

A message from Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips to Jakob of Furis:
Senator Steve Phillips: Tales are passed down through generations, forming a life of their own with each retelling until the truth is lost in the sands of time. Then, only the myths and legends remain and they themselves are dismissed by the scholars, sceptics and naysayers.
Phillips: But I know that within each of these stories remains a kernel of truth, bits and pieces that survive through the ages. We hear of the unmatched beauty of Helen of Troy, a visage that could ignite conflicts involving nations and gods. For umpteen decades it was thought that the Trojan war was a myth fabricated from fabulists like Homer, and yet, later studies proved that though the Iliad was mere literature, the war itself did happen. Within the realm of sports, the handshake of John L. Sullivan could bolster a man even through tertiary experience, "Come shake the hand that shook the hand of the great John L," was the folk saying that crossed a burgeoning nation's cities, a belief in the greatness imbued in the mythical that was stronger than a simple wager or simple fanaticism.
Phillips: And then you have the folk tales concerning monsters and demons, of werewolves, banshees, of vampires, even. Stories that warned peasants to avoid improper burial techniques, or to beware the waxing and waning of the lunar cycle. And that brings me to the odd story of one Mr. Jakob of Furis. For the longest while, I have heard Mr. Furis described in terms that less resembled a modern athlete and more a subject of anthropologists. Mr. Furis has been nothing sort of a subject of fascination in his ventures within the Senatorial Office, something akin to seeing Count Orlok suddenly venturing into an episode of Parks and Recreation without any explanation. Every one of those times, I merely dismissed his outward appearance with the rational explanation that what I witnessed was nothing more than showmanship, a personal belief in one's own marketing at the most.
Phillips: But in the back of my head, there always remained just a seed of the idea that Jakob of Furis could actually be the myth come alive that I have always wished to test myself against, the legend that lived up to its reputation. And as such, when I spoke with PEWA President Martin Brown, when I requested a special challenge for the Horror of Hardcore, I could not have received a better answer than this. Mr. Furis, I hope that you are everything that you present yourself to be, because when you step into the ring, you do so against the newsbreaker, headline maker, office taker, world shaker, the roughest, toughest, most intelligent son of a gun in this business, and that, good sir, is nothing...but the truth.

Really love that response to Furis! 🏆
The build was so great discussing myths, tales, and history, leading to monsters, and then ultimately to our friend Furis.
This part made me LOL 😀
I can just see Ron Swanson running after him with a stake that he made by breaking off a piece of his desk! 😄
And the hunger and excitement for the match shown at the end by Senator was great. This was a very fun exchange 😎

I just watched their match: The story of this match was so perfect. Senator dominated the actual wrestling portion but Furis refused to stay down. I think he was able to surprise Senator with supernatural levels of resiliency which caused him to drop his guard as the match went on. Furis capitalized with extreme violence, causing tremendous amounts of blood.
I loved Senator's backdrop out of the ring! Furis collecting weapons outside was hilarious. Pick one up, pass it down, lol. The entire time they were outside was really entertaining! Great striking exchanges and a bloody battle!
Furis using his "Mare Sarbatoare" arm/shoulder lock finisher on a bloody Senator made me legit think he could pull off the win!
Senator didn't tap, and that caused Furis to have a brief crisis of conscience...only for him to pay for it with a big elbow! Senator with the running STO! But Furis pops up again and hits that monstrous spike chokeslam!!!
Wow...he actually won!? I did not see this coming! Tremendous upset! We're gonna need a rematch!
"4 corner tombstone strap match"
Wow, this situation is making me think many new things about Furis' future... 🤔

Random stuff tonight at 8:00 PM CT, as I've been too busy to write things up from last week and I need more planning time to get the rest of the year organized.
