I have never played this game only wwe 2k. Is there a way I can learn how to play? I don't want to be clueless by the time the game arrives. Are there gameplay instructions somewhere? I read the game is difficult to learn.

There is an in game mode called Mission Mode. It will essentially teach you how to play.
But really the easiest way is to turn the CPU to level 1 and just experiment.
When the guys lock up there is a small slap sound when they touch. Thats when you put in your command. You almost have to anticipate it, but once you nail the timing the game opens up to you.
