I wanted to have some guides on FFPW ROM hacking, partly so when I forget stuff I can just go back and have a look. I'll add to this over time but my main focus is the patches.

What Do I Need?

Final Fire Pro Wrestling ROM
An emulator - I use VBA
A hexadecimal editor - MadEdit
A graphic viewer/extractor - NLZ-GBA
An IPS patching tool - Lunar IPS

Editing Text

SPOILER: Click to show

1. Open MadEdit
2. Load your Final Fire Pro Wrestling ROM
3. Click View>Encoding and choose SHIFT-JIS

Now you can search for Japanese and English words to edit the text in game!

When i sim with FFPW in VBA i always turn the BGM to OFF and play in the background a commentary mp3 so i keep the crowd+impacts sounds but instead of silly music i have more immersive sound environment for a wrestling match

But with those romhacking possibilities, i am wondering if it could be possible to replace the actual musics by this kind of commentary sounds, of course i imagine one would need to tone down the quality a lot but still considering how much more immersive those sound files make FFPW sims it would be much interesting.
