What do you suppose they will announce on June 22? Some new campaign. I for one cannot wait to hear it.

When they specifically use the word ‘campaign’ it makes me immediately think Kickstarter campaign. Back when Fire Pro Wrestling World was only mere speculation I had said if Spike-Chunsoft took it to Kickstarter for crowd funding I would put up $1000 day one. I still stand by that.
Secondly it could simply be announcing a Switch port of Fire Pro Wrestling World which is fine. I would still buy it just to support Fire Pro.
Thirdly it could mean a collected works of old Fire Pro titles being released together as a compendium collection. I’d buy it simply for the amazing reference data it would hold while making wrestlers in other games like Ultra Pro Wrestling.
Fourthly, some kind of engagement campaign to see if it would be worth it or not to see if there is enough interest in Spike-Chunsoft making an all new Fire Pro instalment. Meaning maybe over time between PC and PlayStation and the DLC’s Fire Pro Wrestling World did okay overall. Well enough to make the guys who track the books give the go ahead on a new title if the interest is there.

Well it looks like it’s for a t-shirt giveaway for 35 people. That’s somewhat deflating. Not sure we really needed a week long tease for that.

I saw an announcement for this on FPW's Steam page today. It directs to this link too: www.spike-chunsoft.com/news/fire-pro-wrestling-giveaway/I'm not sure if the "Japan-only" policy that was initially stated on X still holds but it's not mentioned there. This is all pretty underwhelming and "35 years" is kind of arbitrary as a milestone to begin with 🤔 My hope is that this is really a tactic by Matsumoto to use the social media response to the shirts to show the Spike higher-ups that there's still a lot of interest in this series. That being said, I'm not sure this plan is big enough to do so. The shirts look nice and all but they should have been the initial announcement rather than the pay off to a tease that had everyone excited. The "let down" of the real announcement after the hype may have worked against him. So if it was a tactic, cool, but I would much rather see a Kickstarter for a new game (or even for more money/time put back into FPW) so that the interest is backed by measurable monetary enthusiasm rather than 500 "I marked out when I saw my first CRITICAL! Gimme mah shirtz!" stories.

Yeah, it looks like there is a North America version of the contest as well, but it appears they are only giving away one shirt size. I guess I can save my time because I would rip that shirt apart just putting it on by those measurements.
Shoulder: 53 cm | 20.8 in Chest: 58 cm | 22.8 in Length: 78 cm | 30.7 in

Yeah, I think a shirt was a poor choice for them to use for this anniversary gift.
If they aren't willing to provide different sizes, it seems like a waste. One size definitely does not fit all.
I'd rather have a banner I can hang on the wall or a framed picture.
I guess they figure a shirt can be worn to advertise the series to other people 🤷♂️
