Toukon Club
Year: 1992
Developer: Jaleco
Pages: 33
Thanks to the fine folks over at gamemanual.midnightmeattrain.com for recently posting the manual for obscure
Famicom Wrestling title Toukon Club.
Toukon Club was created by Jaleco; the same company that brought us games like Rival Turf, Hammerlock Wrestling, and
Tuff Enuff on the SNES.
The front and back cover of the manual.
Despite the game being released in 1992, the roster of Toukon Club is comprised of Wrestling legends who were quite popular in the 1980's.
Table of contents and standard usage/storage notes. Noted as Page 1.
Page 2 and 3 list the game modes and provide an introduction to the quest to become World Champion.
On Page 2's illustrations, you can see Giant Baba applying the 16mon Kick (Big Boot) to Animal.
Pages 4 and 5 list gameplay features such as health and power meters, along with a diagram of the in-game screen during gameplay. The front and back cover of the manual.

Pages 6 and 7 talk about 1P mode and reading the Wrestler select screen.
From the illustrations, you can see Road Warrior Animal Gorilla Pressing Abdullah The Butcher (that must be painful.....).
Pages 8 and 9 continue to discuss more features such as acquiring the trophy through 1P mode, the game over screen, a password system and bonus points.
Page 11 wraps up 1P mode with an illustration of Mil Mascaras going for a Diving Crossbody against Giant Baba, while page 10 begins discussing 2P versus mode.
Pages 12 to 13 tab out the controls for basic moves and techniques applied inside and outside of the ring.
The next series of pages are dedicated to Toukon Club's cast of Wrestlers; each being based on a real-life Wrestler, just under a different copyright-friendly alias.
Pages 14 - 15: Anton Inoue is based on Antonio Inoki.
Pages 16 to 17: Great Shohei is based on Giant Baba.
Shohei gets his name from Giant Baba's actual name: Shohei Baba.
Pages 18 - 19: Iron Lips (Hulk Hogan).
Hogan's Toukon Club name was inspired by Hogan's appearance as Thunderlips in Rocky III.
Pages 20 - 21: Abraham The Bloody (Abdullah The Butcher).
Pages 22 - 23: Black Barbarian (Road Warrior Animal & Hawk).
Pages 24 - 25: General Geggebens. Apparently, this character was an original design created by Jaleco; though, I always felt General was based on Dynamite Kid or Mitsuharu
Misawa.
Pages 26 - 27: Doll Masquerade (Mil Mascaras).
Pages 28 - 29: Lee Han Tao (Killer Khan).
Pages 30 - 31: move glossary.
Pages 32 - 33: options mode and closing tips on completing the game.
The illustrations feature a referee which looks like famed All Japan referee Jo Higuchi, while page 33 includes a drawing of Antonio Inoki
attacking Killer Khan.
