For a second I was wondering why Randy Smith was holding a carrot... I thought the same thing, too. Alas, it's a microphone. So much for saying your prayers and eating your vitamins, brother! Pages 56 - 57: Falcon's signature moves are the Enzuigiri and the Powerbomb. Pages 58 - 59: Doctor Guildo (Big Van Vader). I'm kind of puzzled Guildo's lower torso disappeared behind the mastodon helmet. Pages 60 - 61: in my opinion, the most interesting page of this guide is page 62. Dr. Guildo, who is based on Big Van Vader's character art
looks more like Tiger Mask's arch nemesis Black Tiger. The illustration even has similar tights decals and a mask closer in resemblance to Black Tiger's.
Quite possibly, Black Tiger was meant to be a playable character in Tecmo World Wrestling. The final boss 'Black King' (who is based on Super Strong Machine) may have originally been slated to be Black Tiger instead. The name certainly sounds more fitting.
Dr. Guildo's special techniques are the Argentine Backbreaker and the Deadly Lift. Pages 62 - 63: provides an explanation of the 11th and final opponent: hidden Wrestler Black King (renamed 'Blue King' in the western ports). Black King is based on Super Strong Machine. Black King's bio states that his eligibility from entering the tournament was revoked due to King's reputation for injuring opponents. King's bio also mentions that he contains roughly 30 techniques, where other Wrestlers in the game have a max of just 20, making King the strongest
character in the game.
To be the real champion, the player would have to defeat Black King.
Page 63 asks the player who will be the true champion, with illustrations of each of the playable characters. Book credits. Thus concludes another guide. Thanks for reading. This game for nes is not bad, music is fantastic. But Tecmo shouldn't have added the commentator, did they really think it was a good idea? This is a stupid and useless decision and it is reminiscent of another snes game by Funaki Masakatsu Hybrid Wrestler, a commentator who comments on every action in the ring which ruins a great game as this unnecessary chatter makes it difficult to concentrate on the game. And who will read the text when there is an active fight in the ring.
By the way, thanks for the scans.

Found it on twitter Very cool! Thanks for sharing, I didn't know the the badge offer with the game. In the manual I saw the phone card offer, been trying to see if there is an image of the actual card floating around! We are working on a history and review of Tecmo World wrestling and if you want to be credited with finding this article, let us know.

First off, thanks for the awesome tecmo scan. For the thumbnail for my historyOf tecmo wrestling video I used Parts of the above image but it had that nasty seam down the middle. I ended up fixing It's, doing some color correcting and also freehand the rest and it turned out pretty good.

Just curious, we are doing a history of Tecmo World Wrestling and decided to see what ChatGPT found... ...and there are some some AWESOME outright lies! Would you watch a a video where you would have to guess which parts were fact and what parts were crap? 😂 Example: "The arcade sequel was released in 1996: Tecmo Wrestling '96: The Dream Match" I don't even know how to start dissecting where that even came from oh and here is an actual Tecmo related post that you probably want to see! I sure would like to see as much information as you can give . I’ve never hear of a sequel coming out for the game until now . I do remember on the old FirePro boards when Fire Pro R was out there that there was a guy who had made all these different wrestlers that were all country based . There were about five wrestlers per team if I remember correctly. I couldn’t down load the guys edits all I could do is look and wonder about them .

Another thing that I’ve been trying to track down but was having no luck was when The Characters of Tecmo Wrestling made a appearance in Gamepro Wrestling .
