Besides licensed Wrestler appearances, Dreamslam also contains a host of Wrestlers under fake names. This is because the bonus characters are based on Wrestlers from other promotions outside of HUMAN's license with AJW at the time. In past Fire Pro games, unlicensed Wrestlers received clever Fire Pro renames. Dreamslam changes this old rule by simply referring to each bonus character as a specific colour. As a lover of the older Fire Pro guide's Wrestler illustrations, I was pleasantly surprised that a selection of them were added to this particular guidebook to help identify the additional Wrestlers in question. Pages 48 - 49: Red Woman "Heel Heroin" (Mayumi Ozaki) & White Woman "Sky Flower" (Cutie Suzuki). Pages 50 - 51: Black Woman (Devil Masami) & Green Woman (Dynamite Kansai) Pages 52 - 53: Yellow Woman (Shinobu Kandori) & Pink Woman (Megumi Kudo). Pages 54 - 55: the hidden boss characters Crush Gals #1 (Chigusa Nagayo) and Crush Gals #2 (Lioness Asuka). Here's the cropped Wrestler illustrations as an added bonus: Stay tuned for more pages from this guidebook!

Just about every Fire Pro guidebook from the era contained exclusive interviews with otable Wrestlers, celebrities and HUMAN Entertainment staff members. Most of which were interviewed while playing a copy of Fire Pro.
The exclusive interview in the Dreamslam Winning Strategy Special involves joshi stars Manami Toyota, Takako Inoue and Kyoko Inoue.
Pages 56 - 57: the first part of the interview with Takako Inoue, Kyoko Inoue and Manami Toyota. Pages 58 - 59: the second part of the interview. Pages 60 - 61: the third part of the interview. Pages 62 - 63: the final part of the interview. As usual, the exclusive interview includes a special giveaway. This time around, the prizes include signed plushies and t-shirts. As Joshi merchandise was produced in much-smaller numbers, the dolls in particular are now highly sought-after with collectors. Pages 64 - 65: special report column with Aja Kong, Bull Nakano and Akira Hokuto. Page 65 is the title page for Dreamslam's data section. Pages 66 - 67: various techniques such as the Aurora Special, Overhead Kick and Green Mountain. Pages 68 - 69: more techniques found in Dreamslam. Pages 70 - 71: more techniques. Pages 72 - 73: techniques continued. Pages 74 - 75: just in case you needed more techniques. Pages 76 - 77: more techniques.

Great scans, thanks. The 90s were a great time for women wrestling in Japan, the roster was great. The game is great, but for the sake of economy they didn't add a battery and it sucks. But there are more wrestler frame animations than in Super Fire Pro Wrestling 3, which is very cool. Found a pre-release note with screenshots in the Japanese magazine Dengeki-Oh 06.1994, a month before the release. The colors were different.

It seems early versions/prototypes were given to the press for coverage ahead of release dates. Just about everything in the above screenshot was modified before the final release. The graphics certainly seemed a bit too vibrant for my taste. I wonder if we'll ever find a dump of the Dreamslam and SFPWX prototypes?
