Hello everyone, our YouTube channel @vgwaworld is currently working on a mock up manual for the UWC prototype. We have the basic controls and currently listing all the unique grapples for each wrestler. However we need your HELP! We have been unable to replicate the scorpion death lock for Sting and the figure 4 for Ric Flair (or any other mat submission). If anyone can replicate these moves, please let us know! Also if you want to help with the bios of any wrestler, we would appreciate the help! We are aiming to make it true to it's estimated 1988 development time (and probably full of 80's cheese. So feel free to make Sting the coolest and raddest wrestler on the roster) The Road Warriors, Hawk and Animal Starrcade Superstars, Sting and Jimmy Garvin Midnight Express, Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton The Four Horseman, Ric Flair and Barry Windham If you need a ROM, here is a link to the preserved copy hiddenpalace.org/UWC_(Prototype)

Scorpion deathlock and figure 4 = A+B long press (1+ second) at downed opponent knees. If there are any other special/finishing maneuvers you know for this game please let us know!

Jim Cornette was asked recently what he thought about the Midnight Express being included in the UWC roster. In true Corny fashion, Cornette stated that he didn't care, as him nor the Midnight Express) have ever received any royalties for the game.
Then again, Cornette has always been outspoken for his disdain towards video games.

Excellent job, looks great. I haven't had a chance to try this game out. Is it fun? What does the gameplay remind you of?

Excellent job, looks great. I haven't had a chance to try this game out. Is it fun? What does the gameplay remind you of? Thanks! For a prototype game it is pretty fun, but not perfect. Some of the moves are difficult to pull off and we couldn't replicate 100% certainty the operation of the game. The controls get a dicey the longer a match goes, perhaps there was an additional system we don't know about (stamina system maybe?). It reminds me of a mix of WCW/Superstar for strikes and Pro Wrestling for the NES for grappling. The most unique part of the game is the two grapple positions, be able to go from a collar and elbow tie up to a side head lock was a nice touch. It would have been a opportunity to provide a larger selection of moves for a NES. Mostly everyone has the same headlock moves, but some wrestlers have variations. I like to think if the game was released the two grapples would had more variations between the characters. ....ah to dream
