Hello all, we put together a video on out top 10 import wrestling games not named Fire Pro. We tried to keep it a mix, so it is not the absolute best but maybe some games that are not as well known. What would be on your list of top import wrestling games? Also what is a top 10 list you would like to see be made? We try to keep the content bright, tight and light and not too serious, so if you want to have a laugh at our stupidity click the link below! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK_LoMQyW-Q

I think that's about it for me. I also got All Star Pro Wrestling III but wasn't a big fan of it.

I also got All Star Pro Wrestling III but wasn't a big fan of it. Nice list! Virtual Pros are always as must and I do love some KoC, the All Star Series I enjoyed except for I. I just couldn't get used to the controls, but I did find II and III enjoyable.

Pretty stellar list. I especially appreciate the mention of Konami's Jikkyou Max Voltage. Two titles that I personally love are Zen Nippon 2: 3-4 Budokan and Masakatsu Funaki Hybrid Wrestler for the SFC.. Budokan: For years, gamers have argued that Budokan is the best 16-bit Wrestling game. It's easy to pickup, yet, surprisingly deep gameplay makes it a great contender for Nintendo's second generation hardware. The graphics, music, and roster are all excellent pluses. There's even one of the very first instances in a video game where the player can organize a show, choose to sim, OR play out the card themselves and get evaluated at the end of the show by Giant Baba! Personally, I just love the mayhem that ensues during four player battle royales. Easily one of my absolute favourites of any video game system. Hybrid Wrestler: If you were to place Super Smash Bros. on the Super Famicom, and add a Pro-Wrestling theme to it, then that would be Hybrid Wrestler. While the game revolves around PANCRASE legend Masakatsu Funaki, the rest of the roster is based on recognizable faces from various Wrestling and shoot fight promotions - all under different aliases. Such as Ric Flair, Vader, Abdullah The Butcher, Stan Hansen, and even Mitsuharu Misawa!
Each stage has it's own obstacles, pitfalls, and dangers to be avoided. Vader's stage has a breakway scaffold - knock the opponent to the floor enough times and they'll plummet below, Vrij's stage takes place on the street, where players have to avoid angry bottle-breaking bystanders, etc.
There's also an early example of a Create-A-Wrestler mode bundled in with a career mode that sees the player invading three different promotions to become the world champ. If that wasn't enough, the player ages in real-time, while their stats control to deteriorate
realistically with age. Play long enough, and the player has the option to marry AND raise a son, who will follow in their father's footsteps with their own career mode path!

I just fairly recently discovered many of the import games (last 3 years or so of building the collection) and I need to try Bodokan again. Plus I want to learn/get better at the Natsume system (Royal Pro Wrestling has my intrigue! Rich Flair and Underdice Morgan look awesome)
Hybrid is one that I want to play through the career mode in and can't wait to dig deeper into!
But that is one reason we created the channel, is to sit down with each game in depth. We played small sections of each to get the gist of each game and now going back for deep dives for all of them. Plus I like digging up old articles, videos and interviews for all the games.

Another game worth checking out is Gekitou Burning Pro-Wrestling on the Super Famicom. The game is essentially a Fire Pro clone, yet it offered innovative features and match stipulations that were not present in any Fire Pro title up to that point. - The ability to play as the referee. - A royal rumble mode. - Matches with Lucha, MMA and shoot style rules. - The ability to use chairs. - A rage mode that allows a Wrestler to 'hulk up' for a short period of time. The roster is also pretty extensive, too, with over 100 Wrestlers to choose from. Just recently, I even discovered hidden Wrestlers hidden away in the game's code ...such as Antonio Inoki, Davey Boy Smith
and The Ultimate Warrior.

The coolest purchase is the greatest Pro Wrestling Sengokuden: Hyper Tag Match. This is a real legend from the world of wrestling games, and Shadow Master will confirm this opinion, even did a review on this diamond.

Just looked this one up, what a crazy game! I saw a video of a match between some blond guy and a funaki clone looking dude. Double legs, transition to side mount for kimura, crazy leg submissions, this game was doing a lot for 1997! The move calls by the announcer are cool (I could see how they could get annoying after a bit though), and I even saw a kick/strike catch counter! I’ll have to find more videos of this and dive deeper, thanks for the heads up! 😁

KSS also developed 2 other Pro Wrestling Sengokuden titles (3 total: 1, 2 and Hyper Tag Match)

The coolest purchase is the greatest Pro Wrestling Sengokuden: Hyper Tag Match. This is a real legend from the world of wrestling games, and Shadow Master will confirm this opinion, even did a review on this diamond. I really wanted to like the Sengokuden series. Unfortunately, Hyper Tag Match is easily the worst 3D Wrestling game ever made. - Terrible graphics. - Lack of in-game music. - Aggressively-cheap A.I. - Unresponsive controls. - Tiny, barely-distinguishable Wrestler sprites. Tag Match was the only game in the Sengokuden trilogy that allowed players to actually control their Wrestlers in the ring. A privilege players would soon regret, as Hyper Tag Match's gameplay was so poorly executed that the series would shift back to the spectator genre with the followup title shortly thereafter.
And even then, players could choose to skip watching the matches altogether.
Personally speaking, I wouldn't bother attempting Sengokuden 1 or 3. There are no exhibition or versus modes to speak of. The games revolve around a booking simulator, with all of the game menus and text written entirely in Japanese. So, if your understanding of Hiragana leaves a lot to be desired....
As a glutton for punishment, I got far enough in the third title to book my own shows. Apparently, there's hidden Wrestlers locked away as opponents in the JWA-themed scenario such as The Destroyer, Abdullah The Butcher, and Rikidozan as the champion. I don't think I've ever seen screenshots of those characters...
Sengokuden is a series that is so obscure, I doubt we'll ever see a gameFAQs save file, or English walkthrough made for any of the titles.
Ultimately, Sengokuden was KSS' first (and last) attempt at a Wrestling game before going bankrupt seven years later. Which is a shame, because KSS put a lot of thought into designing the series. Sengokuden 3 in particular pays respect on a historical level to Pro-Wrestling's humble beginnings in Japan, with a large portion of the roster culled from Japan's earliest Wrestling promotions.

Well I know a guy... Who will ultimately scan his manual and translate it, because I guess he is glutton for punishment! Thankfully we just got to 1990 games and they were later releases!
