Back from Japan with my third Ribera Jacket. As you can see from my facial expression, I'm quite proud.

In Japan, figures of Terry Funk, Stan Hansen and Antonio Inoki have been put up for pre-order. These figures are part of the 16d Collection line; a figure series sculpted by famed Japanese toymaker Kenichi Hao (often stylized as simply 'HAO'). The figures stand about 5 inches tall, and are made of soft vinyl (also known as 'sofubi'). In his 20+ years of making Wrestling figures, this is the first time HAO sculpted a figure of Terry Funk. A new black costume version of Stan Hansen will also be released alongside Antonio Inoki as he appeared in the 1980's.

In the late 80's and early 90's, it wasn't uncommon to go into an Arcade or Wrestling arena and spot a U.F.O. Crane Catcher game featuring Wrestlers from Japan's biggest promotions. The company that made the most of these plushies was known as Rollerton. All Japan Pro-Wrestling plushies of Abdullah The Butcher, Stan Hansen, Jo Higuchi Mitsuharu Misawa, Giant Baba & Toshiaki Kawada. Plushies for Genichiro Tenryu's W.A.R. promotion. Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Nobuhiko Takada, Kazuo Yamazaki, Animal Hamaguchi, The Great Kabuki, Genichiro Tenryu & Ultimo Dragon. Plushies for New Japan Pro-Wrestling: Hiroshi Hase, Riki Choshu, Masa Saito, Jushin Thunder Liger, Shinya Hashimoto, The Great Muta & Masahiro Chono.

Back in 1984, this remote controlled toy of Giant Baba was released. The box reads: 'Remote Control Wrestler Giant Baba Con' (short for controller). With the use of a controller, Giant Baba could wheel around and apply his signature overhead chop. Baba himself also appears on the box.

Two new soft vinyl Great Muta figures are now up for pre-order. 16d Collection Great Muta (Demon Phase) & (Early Red Paint) versions. The white version pays tribute to Muta's mid 90's attire. The early red paint version looks to be inspired by Muta's original IWGP & NWA Championship run. Though, the Wristbands seem to be off design-wise. Early in Muta's WCW run, he spotted the same design, with wristbands that sported no Japanese writing. The Demon Phase and Early Red Paint versions next to the three other classic Muta variants from the 16d Collection. You can pre-order both figures here until December 11th 2024: www.goodsmile.com/en/search?search_keyword=16d
