The next four pages feature an interview with the HUMAN development staff, who put together Super Fire Pro-Wrestling X. I read through this interview last night - really fascinating stuff, thank you for posting it!
The dev team was apparently annoyed at the Super Famicom struggling to display tag matches without flickering and slowdown, which is why they moved on to other systems so quickly.
Two other major issues from the Super Famicom's ports were time restraints and file size. For example, the sound composer for Special was constantly butting heads with HUMAN over reducing the length of the BGM tracks. With 40 something tracks being featured in a 16-bit Wrestling game from 1994, I can see why limited space may have been an issue... In an interview for Final Bout, Goichi Suda mentioned how he wanted to include series favourites Abdullah The Butcher and Giant Baba back into the fold. Additionally, Suda also planned out 50 additional techniques that couldn't be implemented in time. Omissions that Suda felt took away from the version of Final Bout that made it to the public. On a positive note, I do have one last X Premium guidebook left to scan. There's no interviews or extra incentives, but it will be making it's rounds to the Fire Pro Classic section of these forums soon.
