What are your memories of playing WWF WrestleFest?
Did you play it in the Arcades back in the day? If not, maybe MAME years after the fact? Or perhaps you're fortunate enough to have owned an original cabinet / Arcade1UP?
I still remember the first time I came across WrestleFest in the arcades. The large and colourful sprites just blew away any Wrestling game I owned on the NES or SNES at the time. A game you'd find at just about any arcade in the 90's; from small country towns to the crowded arcades of major shopping malls. Chances were, there was a WrestleFest cabinet tucked away in the corner.
If there was ever a game in need of a fan-created "de-make" to the SNES or Sega Genesis in 2022, WrestleFest would be at the top of my list.
So, how about you guys? Any WrestleFest memories?

Digging into my gaming memories, I think the very first time I laid eyes on a WrestleFest cabinet was in the 1990's. The arcade was located in a small country town called Ripley, Ontario. The town's population was just under 600 at the time.
Among the few stores Ripley did have on it's main road was an old fashioned arcade. Dimly lit, concession stand off to the side with an employee available to make change. Even at the time, the arcade felt like a leftover relic from the past. The name of the place, I couldn't tell you. The arcade games I remember were:
Splatterhouse Street Fighter II Champion Edition A cocktail version of PacMan in the middle of the arcade and WWF WrestleFest ...among several others.
As to my knowledge, the arcade is long gone now.

Very similar experience for me too 😎 I can't remember the exact arcade I saw it in first or played it in the most often but I remember being blown away by Wrestlefest. I had heard nothing of the game and suddenly found it in front of me. It absolutely visually destroyed all wrestling games I had ever seen before. I never got enough time to actually play through the game to beat it. That was actually part of the draw. It wasn't a game I got to play often or for long enough so it completely kept its mystique. I never knew exactly how to play it either. Finishers were always a mystery to me.
